Let's face it. Quite agreed, Anderson has an exceptional voice, but this competition is not all about that. He really flopped his Tuface's song last week and this week was just a little better. If all contestants weren't on probation last week, definitely Anderson and Deinde deserved to be on probation based on their performance and going by their re-performance of the same songs today, I think the judges were right to choose Kumi and the faculty, Jeff. Let's take away sentiments from this matter. It's a competition. MTN is looking for an artiste marketable to Naija and West Africa. The fact that Anderson couldn't pull off the Tuface hit just says a lot. At the end of the day, MTN and Nigerians need the winner to be someone who's vocally sound, a great performer and has an outstanding social profile. Sadly, Anderson doesn't meet the last criteria- no wonder the was among the least voted for. He could have won on some other platform but definitely not project fame. Wish him all the best.

Finally, I believe the guys in the house are now getting a taste of their own bitter pill. They started it, but you know what they say about karma. We shall see how things turn out in the coming weeks.

I hope you know what that means in the 'local context?'


Although, no one is an island of knowledge. But truth is you should have attempted that topic even if it means you'll blab or even gaffe. At least, you attempted it. But saying you weren't prepared to teach something that is different from what you 'packaged' from home is disparaging to say the least.



But guess what, it's a good thing it happened this way. Else, you wouldn't have known there are ways employers catch applicants unawares. Seriously, it has happened to me before. But mine was during my NYSC days. Come see falling hand! The inspector said I'm better off as a make-up artist than as a teacher.


Funny enough, I learnt the lesson afterwards. And guess what I am today? A make-up artist!

Bro sincerely u gaffed by turning down that topic. U should've given the topic a try,especially when the topic is not too hard compared to other government topics. I mean even if u are not prepared, u could've given them a definition of constitution which u can easily form in ur head on the spot, tell them about the 1999 constitution, talk about d provisions of the Constitution concerning number of senators, number of reps in d house, state house of assembly, exclusive list, etc... Just these things would've been enough, am sure they too will not expect u to tell them every damn thing about d topic. I just hope u will be called for the job.
