I will continue to reiterate that the Glazers aren’t interested in winning the PL.

It’s not like they don’t know what quality of players to buy to achieve the PL title but the amount of money it would cost them isn’t worth the prize money.

The Glazers didn’t hesitate to sign Tom Brady to their NFL club. Tom Brady is like the Ronaldo/Messi of NFL in the US & guess what? Tampa Bay Buccaneers instantly won the Super Bowl after Brady was signed.

It’s the equivalent of signing Messi or Ronaldo in 2016 circa. Signing AWB, James, Amad, Maguire is a smoke screen to make them appear that they care - but they don’t.

They have bought mercenaries in the past, so, don’t tell me they don’t care. It’s not their fault that we buy players at crazy prices. Also, the managers were fine with the acquisitions, post approvals, Woodie and co went to the market to buy players at any cost.

I would agree with you if you say that the recruiting system needs to change, maybe they need to define a system of play, buy players that fit the system, and then hire managers that can marry both (players and the system) to achieve success.

The Glazers have spent a lot since Fergie resigned, and they will continue to spend. Only City has spent more than us, and the difference is not significant. But Chelsea, Liverpool have enjoyed more successes (bar City).

Now, to the matter on ground, if we don’t find a way to get OGS to win trophies now, and we don’t sack him by end of the season, the guy may not win anything for United until 2023/2024 after he would have spent over 800m. Unfortunately, we would have lost relevance by then. We need to continue to sack and hire for trophies, Chelsea, Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern are examples of club that keep churning our results with the ‘hire and fire’ model.

I don’t know why these guys don’t wanna agree that we have the squad, maybe we need to add a couple of players which is a normal stuff (annually, clubs buy players), but then, this squad will do wonders with proper management.

OGS has bought 7 players already (Telles, Bruno, Magwaya, AWB, VDB, James, Amad) and he got Cavani and Ighalo on loan. That’s 9 players without a trophy.

Yes now, Mbappe and Rashford are almost the same, Mbappe actually misses more chances (I believe), but none of you guys will blame him, it’s the manager that needs to get sacked because they have not won the holy grail. And I am sure that you want the same Mbappe at Utd.

As at Jan/Feb 2021, Mbappe was having conversion ratio of 24 percent, Rashford 27 percent and Cavani 26 percent.

Few chances with high conversion ratio is good and can win you trophies, but you will suffer.

So what is the problem sef?

If Mbappe misses 25 chances in a game and PSG don’t win the UCL, it’s the manager’s fault, missing chances is normal, but if Rashford misses 3, then the player is at fault. That’s so unfair.

City, Liverpool, Bayern, Real Madrid players miss chances like mahd, but the managers still get the sticks, the idea here is to create as many as possible so you can win games. Unfortunately, at Utd, we should blame the players even if the pattern of play is so shitty that the players don’t get to create lots of chances per game. Players create chances by chance with less input from the manager, and if they don’t score, you see some section of the fans blame the players, rather than blame the manager that has refused to get them to create more chances.

Trophies matter at the end of the day sha, either we play pragmatic boring football, and create few chances but be very clinical, or we play good football, and create a lot of chances (prefer the latter sha), we will win trophies. Main thing is that OGS should stop oscillating between both and try to let us know which one works for him.

If he wants clinicality, then he should start targeting clinical strikers (very few are out there though), and win us trophies. Stop wasting out time, because there is no time to even check time.

Well, that's where sensible subs and team management comes in. Conceding in last minutes of a game is about loss of concentration and maybe fatigue. Very few teams play same 8-10 plays every game day without subs.

Pogba should be consistent in leading the team to win games then my opinion on him might change.
