Would have preferred a year contract for him, but 2 years is not bad. Termination clause should be intact with no massive payment if he gets sacked. |

Which other stat do we have? Not one positive stat from Amorim’s regime. But our resident analysts in here will not let us hear word. The players ni (after spending 400m), the owners ni, the fans ni, the pitch ni, the roof ni, Amorim is the next best thing after jollof rice, he is executing a long term, we will suffer before getting there.
Where is the god of thunder? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 3:35pm On May 10 |
Jan 2024: Omar Berrada appointed as new CEO
Apr 2024: Amorim linked to West Ham and Liverpool; both pass. Jason Wilcox appointed as Technical Director
Jul 2024: Ashworth joins Manchester United as Sporting Director (after gardening leave; we pay £5m).
Ratcliffe said this in February 2024:
“Dan Ashworth is clearly one of the top sporting directors in the world.
“I have no doubt he is a very capable person.
“He is interested in Manchester United because it’s the biggest challenge at the biggest club in the world.
“It would be different at [Man] City because you’re maintaining a level.
“Here it’s a significant rebuilding job.
“He would be a very good addition.”
Nov 2024: We pay €11m to sign Ruben Amorim from Sporting. He takes over after 9 PL games.
Dec 2024: Ashworth warned a back three won’t fit United’s squad; objects to Amorim; loses the internal power struggle and is pushed out after 5 months on the job.
May 2025: Amorim, coaching 27 games, finishes 15th in the league on 42 points; lowest points total since relegation in 1974. Goes on to lose a European Cup final to a Spurs team who finished 17th in the league, and hadn't won a trophy since the time of Father Abraham.
Summer 2025: Amorim backed with £200m+ spending (for some odd reason he signs two #10s even though he has Bruno, one of the premier 10s in all of world football). Could've bought a CM.
Aug 2025: Lost to 4th-tier Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup (£200m spent). Amorim's clockwork emotional outburst: “sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years,” "sometimes I hate my players."
Sep 2025: Another classic stream of emotion and stubbornness: “not even the Pope can make me change my system.”
Nov 2025: Lost to Everton, who played with 10-men at Old Trafford for 80 minutes.
? 2025: Amorim sticks to 3-4-3; board later pressures him to switch to back four.
Dec 2025: "Amass is now struggling in the Championship." Complete unprovoked. Drew with West Ham (18th) at Old Trafford. Drew with Wolves (20th, 2pts) at Old Trafford.
Jan 2026: Amorim sacked after 14 months.
42 points. 15th. £200m+ spent. Europa League final lost to a Spurs side that finished 17th. Win rate under 39% in 63 games (25W-15D-23L). Publicly criticised players and academy along the way. That’s the legacy. The worst coach we've ever seen.

I have said it 1 million times in here. The team’s performance is dependent on the manager’s style. A good manager will do wonders with average players. We continue to and will always upgrade the squad, but if we don’t have a sensible manager, the players will always be blamed.
Plus, why do we want a permanent, Fergie type manager? Gone are the days of having a manager spend 10-20 years at a club. We need to do what others are doing. Buy 2-4 players per season, maybe a partial overhaul once every 4 years and then change managers anytime performances don’t make sense. It is what it is! |

Same Maguire, Shaw and Casemiro that are among our best performers under Carrick. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 7:20pm On May 04 |
Trevor012: Stop all these misyarning.
Hojlund dropped double digits in his first season In the league just like Sesko and another 5 in 6 games in the champions league. Amorim misused him just like he was misusing Sesko untill carrick came in and he started banging in goals. Sesko only scored 2 goals in 17games under Amorim but now he has 9 in 13 under carrick and Fletcher.
Amad last season scored 8 goals and 6 assists in the league. None of mbuemo or Cunha has surpassed those figures in goal contributions. Amorim drove away Rashford and picked fight with garnacho. He is too blame for whatever issues we had in attack. The same Rashford currently h has 25goal and assists for Barcelona.
Leave all these story. Give Carrick the same squad of last season and he will do better than Amorim times hundred. Jah bless yah! |

Jamiuokolaa: Carrick has achieved the barest minimum expected from the Squad.
Perhaps if we had sacked the useless Amorim immediately after that embarassing loss at Grimbsy, we would probably be neck on neck with Arsenal and City in the title race.
Just like other coaches that have Managed at UTD, Carrick would also be supported during the forthcoming Transfer window.
If results start to dwindle under Carrick's nose and the situation looks irredeemable, he would be relieved of his duties and another coach would come in.
Its not really too difficult like that This! No time to waste time. Give him 3-5 players, give him a year contract. If he messes up with no hope of getting the boys back on track, sack him and get another manager. Simple! Top teams don’t look for longevity of managers. |
