They should be punished for giving ETH his players, for giving 400m to the guy, for backing the manager fully with everything. They should also be punished for not rejecting ETH when he asked to be in control. I mean, they should be on the pitch instilling ETH’s style in the team, be in South America to scout players, be in the stadium every match day.

Support system, check and balances. Please explain these terms.

The Glazers don’t understand the game, they don’t come to the stadium to support us, they don’t spend, they don’t know how to sign players, they can’t manage a football team, they can’t get the players to play ETH’s style, they don’t pay salaries. They only take funds away from the club.

If they leave today, we will get it right even faster than Newcastle as long as the new owners don’t take funds off the club, they watch our games every matchday, and support ETH on the pitch and during trainings.

Anyways I don't know how this football ish works but I believe it takes most successful businesses more than 3 years to even take off.

Man Utd is a successful business already. We just need to be pragmatic and avoid being emotional. If we sign a new manager today, the first season could be a bit okay, new manager is trying to instil his pattern of play, buying his players etc. Only top 4 finish is fine. But you see the second year, something spectacular has to happen. QF, SF of UCL, maybe top 2 at the minimum in the league and a cup. If it’s not happening, or we don’t at least slightly improve on the previous season’s performance, then we should sack and move on.

Today, we are worse with our signings. No evidence of the manager’s pattern or system, there is no sign, no sign at all that we will improve. A few more games, and we should be ready to decide without our emotions.

Anything above three years is long term. It doesn’t mean that we should keep an underperforming manager for three years, we get rid of such manager if there is no improvement. Also, it does not mean we should sack a performing manager after 3 years. If a manager does well in 2 out of 3 seasons, and we make top 4 and win Carabao cup in the third year, it’s not a sackable performance.

This should be the standard, heck even mid table teams get this. We are doing it, and it’s fine. Unfortunately some fans are not getting it, they are still trying to see if we can get another Fergie era.
