My pleasure.

Chris, I'm sorry to bother you. Asides q7 gold, can you recommend another lightening cream I can use to achieve at least 3 shades in less than a month before I stop and continue with nivea fair..
I'll be more satisfied if it doesn't contain hydroquinone. Thanks

ChrisKonor:

The Q7 products i know bleaches the skin, although they are nice....But since you are originally fair, all you need is a cream that will back your natural colour, NIVEA NATURALLY EVEN SKIN TONE will do that. Use it with EXTRACT WHITENING HERBAL SOAP. I have reviewed the both of them and they can be found on google...

Good luck

Please mention the specific nivea cream, like spell out the name for me, since they're so many in the market..

ChrisKonor:

You have a very brilliant idea there. You can use the Q7 lotion for sometime, when you get your desired result you switch to nivea fair. But make sure you are naturally/Originally fair.

Alright dear. Thanks a lot!
Fashion / Re: How Good Is Q7 Gold Cream by nkiruberyl: 9:46pm On Oct 23, 2016
ChrisKonor:
Q7 helps inhibit Melanin, and that's bleaching. But as the guy above said, if you know you are naturally fair and situations got you dark, then you should go for products like nivea fair and jergens fair.

Hope this helped?

Oh, thank God Chris is here. Chris, will nivea fair or jergens fair lighten me?

I really need to lighten. I was thinking q7 gold for at least one week, once I lighten, I can then continue with the mild ones. What do you think?

Also, I read your blog extensively . do I go with Irish gold maxi toner or Irish gold0% hydroquinone or qei + paris;:..please help a sister outv

Hi all,

Please I need your help. I used fake papaya soap and I've darkened more than I ever imagined in my life. So, I need to lighten not bleach and a friend recommended Q7 gold and another friend said it contains a lot of hydroquinone and lightens really fast...

Please what do you think about q7 gold and if you have any recommendation for me on a cream I can use that contains 0% hydroquinone ( I'm allergic to it) ,that will also lighten me, please I'm open to any suggestion.

Please Egyptian milk and other organic product sellers can ignore this post. I need something I can find in shops. Thanks

Even if you are quite comfortable with php and mysql i really see no reason why you should build from scratch , why dont you just use Wordpress and improve on it to suite your taste, that way you can eliminate whatever cons you think Wordpress has after all its an Open Source software you can tweak the code

Hi all,

Please I need your professional advice on this. I want to own a blog and i'm a web developer(PHP & SQL based)

My question is,should I go through the rigours of building a CMS site for myself(also pay one or two fees here and there as I will need help) or should I save myself the stress and use wordpress.

In terms of long term monetary and aesthetic benefits, what are the pros and cons of using wordpress or a self-made blog?

Thanks as you offer me help.

I don't think the Centre for Gas and Petrochemicals (CGRP) has past questions. Last year they conducted interview with a test that didn't count so much (my experience). If you have a 2.1 and you can demonstrate your capability of paying the fees then you're halfway there. But who knows, they may start giving admission test.

Woow, okay. You sound like an insider, Please can I get your phone number or email address to make some enquiries. Thanks

IPS is my choice. I graduated with a second class upper degree in geophysics and wish to do my masters in petroleum geosciences. Is it still possible for me to do it there since I'm not from rivers or akwa ibom? If yes then I need general info on how to go about it. Thanks

Sure. You are very eligible, also look out for ptdf scholarships as they will also advise you to help reduce the weight of financing the course because it's quite expensive. Their official website is http://www.uniport.edu.ng/component/content/article.html?id=177:centre-for-petroleum-geosciences though adverts are littered everywhere once they start calling for applications.
Goodluck and hope you pass your entrance exams!

. He did not take part in the entrance exams because he passed thru' IPS TOTAL NIGERIA Sponsored PGD Program in Petroleum Technology with over 4point - distinction he was 1 of d'best in his class so he picked up the Msc form immediately after the PGD Program and he was granted admissions without stress, cos he has already passed thru' all the vigorous tests and interviews prior to his PGD admission he has just finished his Msc in Gas, Refining&PetroChemical a couple of months ago Nov/Dec 2015. As for job the Director of the Centre is working hard in making sure Port harcourt&Eleme Petrochemicals employ some of their graduates if not all including NLNG the main sponsor of the centre. The director is really standing in between the gap soliciting for his graduates. So hopefully my friend might just get employed. Although he has been applying on his own thru' contacts from SPE Confrences, seminars, job fairs organised by IPS. Sometimes companies in port harcourt do come to recruite fresh graduates from the Institute.
Note: The PGD Program is scholarship based meaning TOTAL NIG. pays for everything including Accommodation, food, TP, Laptop,Textbooks and monthly stipends of 30k to all its PGD Students. Beneficiaries are Akwa Ibom & Rivers states indigenes. These 2 states are host to TOTAL NIGERIA.
So my friend is from Akwa Ibom state. A 2.2 Chemical Engineering graduate from Uniport, 2011set.
As for questions and enquiries i would advice you channel it to the Director himself PROF. Godwin J. Igwe, Phd
Fentre for Gas, Refining & PetroChemicals. IPS, UNIPORT

any other questions you still lemme know

. Greed? Who no like better thing?? Lol ..Ok nice course this is another versatile course, sorry which school did u finish from and class of degree? cos i doubt if u will be admitted into the centre of Gas, Refining & PetroChemical @IPS since you are coming in from Faculty of Sciences except if things have changed now, saying from another of my friend's experience who had a good Bsc 2.2 in Biochemistry and wanted to study Msc Safety&Occupational Health @IPS since the two course are healthwise&medically related, he even showed them his HSE Certs Level 1&2 from NISP but was turned down due to 'Sciences Background' issues so he opted for their PGD Program which he completed late last year with distinctiom i have another friend with good B.Tech in Industrial chem/Petrochem in ISLT, Uniport who also pass thru'd IPS PGD Program, and many others from Engineering background. To me i will advise u pick up IPS PGD if u from Rivers state Or any other University PGD in Petroleum Engineering as to remedy the rift cos ur Bsc relates more with Gas,R&PC than GeoScience and PGD in petroleum will also give u a wide range of options. May be if u were from Dept of Geology or Geophysics with strong 2.1 IPS would have considered you into their centre for GeoSciences. University of Aberdeen,UK offers the course as 'Integrated Petroleum GeoScience' which covers so many areas in petroleum. Employment of Geoscientist is fierce out there cos u will be meeting with some baddest guys in the field except u are highly connected both Human and divine but i ain't tryna discourge you. You deserve the best!

You're simply amazing.tx 4 your time! Well, ive met with the centre of gas,R and P and ofcourse i'm good to go coz of my high CGPA and first degree, reason I'm looking out for their past questions for their entrance exams. Well, I'm no longer going for geosciences for some reasons and please give me more information on this my new course, i'm enjoying your replies.
Career / Re: IPS Uniport Past Questions And Answers by nkiruberyl: 8:18am On Mar 01, 2016
saintkeppy:
. Check their website or you visit the school for more info. Normally 2.1 in Engineering is required for most of their masters courses they may accept a strong 2.2 in addition to few years of active working experience in an Oil&Gas Industry
their fees is a bit high and duration of all masters programs is 1yr UK Standard. E.g: my friend paid about 1.5M naira as at last year for Msc in Gas, Refining and petrochemicals i think 2M naira is the cost for Offshore Engineering, courses like Occupational Health, Safety and Reliability Engineering should be 1.5 naira or a bit less.
the Institute is cool, lecturers from Uniport, especially from Dept. Of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, guest lecturers from IFP School of France, experienced Oil&Gas Professionals do come periodically to deliver Lfctures to students. To me its a cheaper alternative of travelling abroad to study. i.e if you don't have much money to do so

World past questions is for something else though, not ips. Meanwhile your friend who studied gas, refining and PC,where is he working now? And please if it's not too much headache, i'll like to know what the centre's entrance exam is based on. I'm thinking I need his permission for his contact to call him and ask all the thousand questions I need concerning the centre. Thanks!

. Sorry if i may ask what did you study in your Bachelor's Degree? I think you should go for Gas,R&PC cos thats where jobs will be a bit easier (down stream) than the other. With the on going TAM on Nigeria's 4 Refineries, Dangote Refinery & proposed Refinery by Federal govt. other private ones, i think there will be job opening for you upon graduation if there's seriousness on the part of Govt. You can as well work with any NNPC Depot. Allied Chemicals,Lubricants & Engine oil outlet. As for the area of Gas, Nigeria is sitting on estimated 180TCF of Gas, 2nd highest on African continent and is yet to fully utilize it abundant Gas potential, although there are efforts in the right direction, bright future becons, Investment in NLNG, Gas-to-power, Gas-to- Liquid GTL and other Gas related Projects might just be where you can function most especially if you acquire up-to-date short professional certifications like instrumentation&control, Process Safety Management System, PDMS, Piping etc. you can always fix yourself a job within this versatile downstream sector of the Oil&Gas Industry.
As for GeoSciences it obvious you will be working with other professionals too e.g Reservoir&Drilling Engineers, you may be assigned to carry out a particular task like LWD,MWD etc, you can as well learn how to use latest GeoScience software in both producing & servicing coys. From the current fall in Global oil price both producing & services seems to retrench some workers and most producing companies he.g Shell, have already investing in a more deeper and remote offshore oil exploration that requires different technologies (SUBSEA ENGINEERING) to Exploit the Oil&Gas. The most important thing is to secure a well paid job upon graduation. From the highlight above So therefore in my own opinion i prefer Msc in Gas,Refining and Petrochemicals because of its versatility.

you c

Career / Re: Top 10 Most Demanded Jobs In The Oil And Gas Industry by nkiruberyl: 10:52am On Feb 13, 2016
xfire:
This is meant for those who desire a career in the oil and gas industry, especially for graduates and undergraduates who may want to be informed.

It's ironical that despite the high graduate unemployment rate and imminent glut in oil supply due increase production worldwide, there is actually a shortage of skilled and specialized labour in the global oil and gas industry. Unfortunately, the most in-demand occupations require specific skills that can only be acquired through experience.

As an oil and gas professional, I have followed the trend and revolution in the industry globally over the past few years. I also follow technological breakthroughs (especially the fracking technology in the US that is redefining the dynamics of the industry worldwide), oil discoveries and hiring patterns all over the world. Based on these trends and statistics, I have come up with a compilation of the top 10 in-demand occupations in the oil and gas industry. This is not limited to the to the industry in Nigeria. This is based on global demand.
I can guarantee that you will always get a quality job (somewhere around the world) if you have at least 5 years experience in the fields. If after gaining five years experience in any of the top 10 fields mentioned below, you lack a well-paying job for more than 6 months, you better go and see your pastor or imam for deliverance. Maybe na from village.

So, for your graduates desiring a lasting career in the oil and gas industry, you may consider these specialized fields. Just work on getting basic experience and you will become indispensable:

1) Geoscientists
2) drilling engineers/ drilling supervisors/driller

No (1) & (2) With recent oil and gas discoveries all around the world including Africa (East Africa and the Gulf of Guinea) and the aggressive exploration for oil all over the world, there is a very high demand for geoscientists (geologists and geophysicists). Geoscientists are involved in the exploration for oil and also in the initial stages after oil discovery. Drilling engineers/ drilling supervisors /drillers are involved in drilling operations (both for exploration and production). There is an shortage of experienced drilling engineers worldwide. A colleague of mine who is drilling engineer told me that he has already received two good offers via linkedIn (even without applying!). And he barely has 3 years experience!

3) subsea engineers
4) subsurface and completions engineers
5) pipeline and piping engineers

No (3) - (5) With oil companies going into the more uncertain but rewarding deepwater operations, there is a high demand for individuals with deepwater experience. Subsea engineers design, implement and maintain structures, tools and equipment used in underwater components of offshore oil and gas production. Pipeline engineers design and maintain subsea pipeline in offshore fields. You can't ignore subsurface/completions (well) engineers who ensure oil is produced at optimum level from oil wells.

6) Marine specialists / engineers
Marine specialists are very critical in oil and gas industry. You need marine professionals in offshore oil and gas operations. This is because of the constant use of marine vessels and boats for supply and transportation of crude oil, liquefied gas, food, equipment, etc. Besides, the increase in FPSO's (floating vessels for oil production in deepwater fields) all around the world requires the specialized skill of marine professionals to maintain vessel stability on the sea.
Believe me, marine specialists are on top of their world. I know a marine specialist that has worked for 3 major oil companies in Nigeria in the last 8 years.

7) Offshore maintenance technicians
These are the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation technicians working in rigs and production platforms both onshore and offshore. There is a high demand for them globally. And the minimum requirement to become one is just an OND.

(cool Truck drivers and crane operators
Yes, you read right! There is a high degree of lifting operations in the oil and gas industry and certified crane operators are in demand. Believe me, they earn well.
Truck drivers are in great demand too, especially in US and Canada where there is a significant onshore oil production. Truck are needed to move rigs and equipment, haul oil, water and sand away. The new fracking technology that has made USA self-sufficient in oil production requires constant evacuation of sand from drilling sites. The drivers are also expected to be mechanics, able to fix to fix their large trucks. With USA set to be a net exporter of oil to the global community (competing with the likes of Nigeria for markets), there is currently a shortage of truck drivers to meet her goal.

9) Tax accountant
The oil and gas industry is technology driven, thus the technical professionals are the most demanded. However, the only non-technical profession to break into the top 10 is accounting. With oil and gas companies always the easy targets for governments and public ministries in areas of tariffs, royalties, taxes and other deductions, the role of experienced oil and gas accountants become critical. There is a crying need for accountants (especially tax accountants), who can balance the books and ensure sustained profit.

10) Reservoir Engineers
Eventhough this list is in no particular order, I think reservoir engineers are actually No. 10 on the list. The reservoir engineers play a significant role in the oil and gas industry. Their job is identify oil and gas reserves and develop strategies to maximize recovery and conducting simulation studies to ensure the optimum recovery.

Other in-demand professions that did not make the top 10 list include technical safety engineers, environmental specialists, welding technicians, process engineers and machinery (mechanical) engineers

Good day Xfire. I really appreciate your work here. Please I have a personal career question I need to ask you concerning the. Oil and gas industry and I just sent you a pm. Its very urgent, thanks
