All TVs generate moderate heat. ''Getting hotter'' is a relative statement. is it so hot that you cannot leave your hand on it for 30 seconds? then thats a fault and the tv has to be checked.

Just wen i decided to subscribe, u now reviewed the price upward.
I was at the site yesterday(sunday). It is not at Gberigbe. Quite a distance from gberigbe.
If the former price will be sustained i.e 100 by 50 500k. then lets roll.

Is TV guard the same as a surge protector?

Tv guard is a surge protector. but for too many substandard in our market, i usually recomend a brand known as Powermatic. If ur power supply is not too low or too high, only surge protector is ok. but otherwise, u will need a regulator(stabilizer) before the surge protector. This is because if d light is too low or too high, the surge protector wont work and that can be frustrating, leading to bypassing the surge protector risking your expensive gadgets.

If your unit is bought in Nigeria, and it is not a parrallel import samsung product, u can call samsung official multilingual toll-free customer care line 0800SAMSUNG(08007267864).

It is normal. But 214v is within normal range. So check that ur surge is working well.

My parents have a Samsung 32" LCD series 4 tv bought in 2009. I can get the specs later. The TV power went out one time and never came on. It was repaired in Jos for N2,500 that something was blown. The electrician recommended they use surge protector. Even with the surge protection, it got blown again. We dumped the TV and i got another Samsung 32" from spar in Abj but was stolen a month later. The old one had been fixed again and was mounted but few months later it gave up again for the 3rd time. The TV is still lying down for almost a year now.

What part do you think is responsible and that cheap? I didnt follow my parents to the electrician but i wish to know if i can get a better quality of the broken part. Where do you operate, Abj or Lag?

I operate in Lagos. For the cost of repair to be 2500, very likely component repair was done and d defective component was replaced with substandard china component(The readily available).
Permanent Solution: Replace the board altogether. Will be way above 2500 though. U can reach me on 08087879636

I have a Samsung 32' LCD I got for 70K, left it with my brother, long story short, he connected it direct to power and it spoilt am not sure how. I told him to take it to repairs, and he just informed me the technician claimed whatever got burnt will take #35,000 to repair. And it's not the screen.
Please, what in God's name will cost that much in a 32 inch TV?

if u have a ups with inbuilt stabilizer, u use it with surge protector...Perfect!. Otherwise i recommend stabilizer and surge protector.

Private universities can only be compared to universities abroad. If u have not been to any, dont join issues with me.
comparing private to public uni. is like saying iya Basira canteen is better than chinese restaurant-it just depends on ur perspective.
If u cant afford private uni, be proud of d public uni u attended no qualms. but i bet u, if u have d money, it is either private uni or school abroad.
Go ask your public uni proffessors why dey send dia kids to private unis.
Mind u, I am a proud product of FUTO. but cant understand what all those unrelated stress was for. Neither do i understand why a lecturer will just b unaproachable. Nor why a single class will have 2000 students all cramped up. Abeg leave matter for mathias.

Though some units do not have the HDMI port especially the very popular dstv and gotv decoders. However, the more recent decoders(Explorer etc) all have HDMI ports.
Virtually all flat panel TVs have HDMI ports and most home theatres do too.


Infact, all recent HD equipment has HDMI. Explore it today and see the difference in picture and audio quality.

A good HDMI cable is fairly affordable and can be easily gotten from where you buy your accessories.
