first you download the latest drivers for alsa i.e alsa 1.5(driver, utils and libs files).https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Gutsy_Intel_HD_Audio_Controller

hey fellas!!! am new to this forum but be usin ubuntu for a while now even a couple of distros and i must say am impressed at the way nigerians are following the linux project, spoke with afolabi and bigbrovar they nice guys, anyone who needs ubuntu cd and dvd (ubuntu ultimate) i.e in the east am there to help and also you tru. am a student of UNN . later fellas
