Romance › Re: My Wife Divorced Me After I Confessed To Her That I Cheated Once In 5 Yrs Of Mar by Nobellight77(m): 4:53am On Aug 23
This is really a complex issue. You and wife are not wrong. You did right thing for confessing and telling the truth. Your wife had the two choices to either forgive or walk away. She chose walking away because infidelity in marriage is a bitter offence and is not easily forgiven by some. angry

Kobojunkie:
Did you know that many of your so-called Igwes of old used to be the richest slave owners and traders in your communities? 😐😐
Never aware of that. I only honour the king and report community matters to them when I see them. wink

We will learn history when we get to history class but I'm currently on my way to the Igwe palace to report the stone bread matter. 🚶
Education › Re: The Annoying Trend Of Uniforms In Nigerian Universities (photos) by Nobellight77(m): 2:45am On Aug 02
DeOTR:
The reason for uniform in the armed forces is understandable. They carry arms and you don't want people on mufti carrying guns everywhere.
This is not acceptable by any metric. Identity cards are issued to students for a reason, and many schools have allowed dress codes for a reason too, so identity and indecent dressing can not be a sensible reason
Nice. But how about the doctors and nurses that are never seen with arms but are mostly on white all day at work? huh

Dr
Kemical23:
Strangers hardly hate or envy you unlike your close pals who is secretly competing with you, they don't want you to be above them and that is where the hate comes in, unlike strangers who don't have your time...
hmmm.. thanks. But I still haven't found the one that resonates with me. I think this has more to do with feelings. Like what will naturally make someone happier when they are around the people they love the most.

It's mysterious and I don't even have the answer to it. huh

hucknall:
It's actually quite common psychologically! With strangers or in unfamiliar environments, there are no preconceived notions, past expectations, or social baggage. You get a clean slate to be your authentic self without the weight of familiarity or judgment. Total peace of mind!
hmmm. thanks. But familiarity or misconceived judgement of other people never scare me. It has always been like a daily bread to me and I eat it with beans too. grin

Politics › Re: Picking Atiku As Vice President Greatest Mistake Of My Life – Obasanjo by Nobellight77(m): 12:21pm On Aug 01
Great words Chief. If only we could turn back the hands of time to correct every mistake but every mistake is only a lesson not to repeat the similar mistake again.
Nairaland General › Why Do Some People Feel More Comfortable Around Strangers Than People They Know? by Nobellight77(op): 12:06pm On Aug 01
Does anyone have an answer to this?
‎
‎I have searched for answers everywhere, but none of them seem to resonate.
‎
‎And I think I'm that kind of person.
‎
‎Anytime I enter an unfamiliar environment, the whole atmosphere changes, and it feels like I'm in a small heaven.
‎
‎I don't hate the people in my environment, but I feel more comfortable in unfamiliar environments.
‎
‎It's weird, though.
‎
‎Does anyone have an idea?

You can choose to continue eating stone bread and insect biscuits with your own money, or you can demand bread without stones and biscuits without insects in it... for your own money ooo. The choice is yours to make. 😐😐
I will choose court action the next time it happens as I said before. Go tell them. Everywhere go scatter. cheesy grin

The igwe must hear it too. angry

Ok! To all the makers of stone bread and insect biscuits, the next time I see stone in my bread and insect in my biscuit, we will meet in court! angry grin

Kobojunkie:
It is the new normal because Nigerians choose not to do anything to force the change they desire. There is an indication that Nigerians are a problem on their own. 😐😐

If you are paying your hard-earned money for something and it never occurred to you to demand that you get the very best for even the money you pay, then there is clearly a problem with your particular culture. 😐😐

Fyi: culture can easily be switched. Look at China. It switched its culture in less than 30 years; the same happened in Singapore. 😐😐
Oh the customers are to be blamed here? I thought they said that the customers are always right. cheesy
Food › Re: I Found What Looks Like An Insect Inside My Sealed Biscuit (photos) by Nobellight77(m): 1:30pm On Jul 30
That's the new normal now. I once bought a “special” bread from a supermarket. As I ate it, I cracked a stone in it with my teeth.

A special bread in the super market but a special stone in my house. angry

Rapmoney:
Is Nigeria the only country where students are prone to indecent dressing? Why don't we have this in other countries all over the world?
Every man for his own house. Every man will treat his home according to the ways and manner of his children and character of his wife. cheesy
Education › Re: The Annoying Trend Of Uniforms In Nigerian Universities (photos) by Nobellight77(m): 12:00pm On Jul 30
I believe it's for identity and to curb the menace of indecent dressing. Everyone puting on uniforms in the university will not be a bad idea. Our gallant soldiers and police men are elders and yet they put on uniforms on duty. smiley
