I'm sure you guys have written your own ghazal, only wish you wrote them here. Anyways, I have another interesting form of poem for you guys.

Bamibor:
The poem is quite deep and thought provoking. Several lines had me trying to decipher what the writer was thinking, his mood. Was it despair?
"he had lived for centuries... "
Was it hopelessness?
"...a man unconscious"
Was it hope?
" here comes a new dawn"
Perhaps it's a mixture of all of these, which man usually has to experience in one short lifetime.
Giving it a fitting title, is not an easy task sir.

In memory of my father and sister.

Oh death!
Why did you hit it hard on to the world?
Why did you cast,
Your anger on the one who is innocent?
You are so mean,
You even appear in our dreams,
You took our pride and turn us to a statue.

Oh death!
You are not still satisfy,
After you have taken the pride of some,
You still came to my little kiosk
And stole away my diamonds,
You keep us ill and make us mourn
Knowing fully well,
The diamonds you stole will never return.

Oh death!
These diamonds you stole
Left holes in my heart.
The true armies of light,
Epitome of integrity,
Oh oh oh
Diamonds above diamonds.
Adieu!

GHAZAL

A Ghazal is a poem that is made up like an odd numbered chain of couplets.It should be natural to put a coma at the end of the first line. The Ghazal has a refrain of one of three words that repeat, and an inline rhyme that precede the refrain. Line 1 and 2, then every second line had the refrain and inline rhyme, and the last couplet should refer to the poet pen name - The rhyming scheme is AA bA cA dA eA.

EXAMPLE:

Gallant Soldiers

Behind the old cage lies a dead young woman;
Beside her lies another fat crying woman.

The gloom of the forest, fear no troop,
Gallant aswe stand toprotect another dying woman.

We stir,as we reach the district of the mean,
They despoil to molest another weakling woman.

We set our boom and fire at distance,
Thence,heard the cry of an unclad crawling woman.

Among other troops, Noble walks valiant,
Steadily, and carried the innocent crying woman.

It's easy and interesting guys, try it out.

There is no success without failure

The moral compasses are long lost

The serpent is rewarded for its cunning.
The patient dog starves to death.


As the.bigger animals make food of the smaller ones,
Broken bodies decorate the landscape.
As the predators go about their business,
Sounds of despair and distress combine producing the heartbreaking music of the zoo.

I want ma kids to see the seeds of ma fruits which spread like roots and shoots above the sky, which rise like tides and quench the stench of oppression and suppression.


I want the government to stop telling me nonsense which doesn't make sense which brings resistance because the distance between the rich and the poor is so big it might cause desistance.


I want Nigerians to see reasons that our leaders failures oozes like miasma because they lack charisma which causes trauma that leads to stigma which might prove to be our anathema.


I want christians and moslems to know that they are no different from drug addicts because they are not accustom to the symptoms of addiction because they bear the symptoms of addiction which contradict their diction and places them in a fiction for they know not they are drug addicts.


Now I want to have sex, yes I want to have sex without being told that the sex I have will vex those who are perplex about my complex to do that which doesn't reflect their vortex of context which vex them outta context and make them call me sinner!.


Now I want to smoke weed, oh yea I want to smoke weed without the people placing ban on the seed that makes my creed produce deeds that causes ideas to fly with greed and bleed the heed that in breed meed thus making the people applaud ma deed.

Unseen prose are passages set to examine people's ability to appreciate written literature. This is carried out in form of test questions from the passage. The question dwells on the central theme of discussion, figure of speech and other language device in the passenge.
The exercise mainly involves lifting up sentences from the passage to illustrate the point. It's required for anyone appreciating the prose to give appropriate interpretation of metaphoric, symbolic, idiomatic and ordinary expression.
