That day I first set my eyes on you,
My heart was joyous
because I knew I have found a body to lean.

With rain drops from my eyes.

As she drew closer to where I was , she raised her head up and our eyes met for seconds, she blinked uncomfortably and missed her steps.

The rain falls as infinite pearls,
Turning hair into tapeworms.
The sky flashes; a silent zoetrope,
And the air roars.

Feet squelch on malevolent paving stones, boiling cold.
Toes like slugs in old socks grow uncomfortably numb.
Spectacles become blindfolds.
Birds hide,
Spiders hide,
And cats and dogs hide from the downpour.

Soggy-limbed people run like idiots.
The sky flashes, an infinite camera,
Turning people into silent zoetropes,
Turning streets into silent zoetropes,
And the air roars.

Beautiful marbles thrown from an endless grey canvas,
Smash upon the floor;
Angry little dancers,
Exploding, assimilating,
Then slipping down the cracks.

Children laugh,
In the relentless, magnificent, benevolent rain.

The scenes of my life float lazily
Past the windows of my mind,
Stirring memories of days gone by in
Vivid color and panoramic views.

Carefree forays with those I love,
Like moving pictures imprinted on my heart,
In a milieu of affection over time
And throughout eternity.

A realm where love is spoken and
Abides by laws written in hugs and
And kisses for scraped knees
And broken hearts.

Episodes performed in the guise of
Big green eyes and bouncy curls,
Mischievous freckled cheeks
And platinum blonde hair.

A spectacle of boisterous laughter,
And oceans of tears cried into the
Bosom of unconditional love
And steadfast devotion.

Throughout; settings change and new Characters come and go,
Drama ebbs and flows
As a new life begins.

For my part, I eagerly await
Seasons to come
And the introduction of
"New" characters.
