The Court of Appeal judgement clearly reinstated the sacked Local Government Chairmen. It’s unfortunate that PDP is being absolutely irresponsible by trying to frustrate the enforcement of a valid judgement of the court.

PDP’s rascality notwithstanding, I will appeal to APC and the law enforcement agencies to allow the status quo remain until the matter is decided by the Supreme Court.

Nigerian security agencies behave like dunces and morons. If they had received an invitation to the complex, would it not have made more sense to secure the premises while at the same time, allow the proceedings at the assembly go on unimpeded?

Secondly, isn't the DSS supposed to be the one providing the clerk of the house with Intel regarding any threat instead of the other way round? And having established that reports of such threats are credible, isn't it the right thing to do to invite for questioning or place under surveillance anyone who is suspected of intending to disrupt the business of the Lagos house of assembly?

If earlier reports are true that the speaker was not informed as to why the complex was sealed off, aren't there DSS agents attached to the speaker? Are they ignorant of their organizations directives as well?

If the agents behind the threat to distabilise the assembly are not identified and sanctioned, how long will the complex remain locked down? Will it keep being locked up anytime reports of possible disruptions arise?

A competent organisation would have handled the matter better instead of this mess that has created uncertainty and left eggs on the face of the president.

Kindly make a post on this. Those are critical questions that need answers

There was nothing like that in the first place. The new Security law is made to tackle crimes in all forms. Emphasis is laid on get - rich - quick businesses. The torchlight is on native doctors, false prophets, kidnappers, yahoo boys, armed robbers and other forms of crimes.

That judgement has settled the question of who the rightful Speaker of the Assembly is. Any action contrary to that judgement is in contempt of the Supreme Court.

Two can play the game. It is not only Wike that knows how to explore loopholes in the law. Fubara has learnt it. If you must know, the case in question started before they decamped. So as we speak, the crux of the matter is that they are no longer members of River state house of Assembly

Why must he struck it out?. He did the noble thing of adjourning the case pending SC Judgement. The SC might ask them to go back to the high court.

That is why I said adjourning it means a lot of things. That case will see the eve of 2027 election.

In court today, our lawyers filed a counter affidavit, stating that a similar matter is already before the Supreme Court for judgment. However, the lawyers representing Opobo Judas argued that the judge should proceed with the case.

In his wisdom, the judge ruled that he cannot assume powers or share jurisdiction with the Supreme Court. Consequently, he adjourned the case to April 30, 2025.

Once the Supreme Court delivers its judgment, all related matters will naturally come to an end.

If it is like that, the judge would have struck the case out. Adjourning it means a lot of things
