DATA REVIEWERS NEEDED Keep reading if you: 1. Are Nigerian or understand Nigerian accents 2. Can put in 3-4 hours of work daily for at least the next few months 3. Have access to a laptop or other large screen device Responsibilities: • Check speech content for validity (according to outlined rules) • Correct valid content's transcriptions (according to outlined rules) ensuring you maintain a high standard of quality • Review 300 audios/day to hit the base quota, but you earn more if you do more (but only if your reviews are up to standard) Pay: ₦4k/day per 300 audios (each audio ≈ 25 seconds) paid to your naira account If interested, DM +2348104297586 on WhatsApp (do NOT call, or you will get blocked) PS: The role is tied to a project that'll likely run for at least 6 more months. Whether interested or not, if you know someone who's a good fit, tell them about it. You get no commission (cuz unfortunately this isn't a pyramid scheme), but you help us and them out immensely. |

Pious101:I fear there's been a misunderstanding here... You're not to do the transcriptions; the audios are already transcribed. I said this in the post, but each audio is about 25 seconds, so 300 is 7500 seconds (just over 2 hours). It doesn't take a day to transcribe 2 hours, not to talk about correcting already-made transcriptions, which takes even less time. Perhaps my original write-up was unclear. |
BaEnki: Tohsynetita1: Pious101:I totally understand your concerns. Firstly, each audio is 0.4-0.6mb. Even accounting for overhead, that's 300mb/day, so about 9gb/mo. 4k (a day's pay) can get you 15gb/mo (on Airtel), which is more than enough for a month's workload. Again, 1 day's pay can get you enough data to do the role for 1 month. Second, yes, annotator roles pay more - because they're much more tedious. You may get $10 per hour of annotated content, but annotating an hour of content from scratch can take 7+ hours. This, however, takes 3-4 hours, based on stats from dozens of reviewers in Nigeria (with unstable power supply) doing this role over the past few weeks. That's before considering you get faster with practice, so you end up spending 2.5-3 hours once you get the hang of it. I've also done it many times, because I wouldn't give out a task I can't do, and I get 300 audios done in 2-2.5 hours. The audios are already transcribed (your job is to ensure transcriptions are accurate), and you can play them at 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, or 2x speed, which further condenses real-world review time. I know it's little for some, but that's ₦120k/mo for (at most) 4-5 hours of work daily (closer to 2-3 once you get good at it). Even without considering that the role is completely remote, that's much better than what most entry-level jobs offer. If you still think it's too much to ask, that's fair; I can't compel you, but I'd rather have this done by us (so we reap the benefits) than ship it off to China where it can be done in labor farms for a fraction of the cost. Hope this clarification helps anyone with similar concerns. 😄 |
Tohsynetita1:It's basically checking already-done transcriptions for errors |

Mckandre:It's 1.3gb* daily, and it does accumulate. It even stacks across months if you recharge the day it expires before the plan elapses. I've racked up 50gb over the last 2 months this way. Though, I'm currently having problems subscribing for next month and today is my last day for last month (not sure if that's from Airtel or if it's just a system/network issue though). |
Babalegba:Hey bro, did you eventually find a seller? |
