During a live Facebook chat with fans, multiple award winning actress, Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic revealed her love for children and when she was asked if she had any yet, the Imo state star said;

“No, I don’t. But I’d love to. I love children very much. I am working on it, hopefully…Pretty, Pretty Soon.”

Due to the fact that, Rita was so sure of having a baby soon, fans quizzed her on if there is already a man in her life, she revealed that she broke up with her Germany based lover, but also told fans that her relationship was her personal business and didn’t talk on the topic again, she said;

“It is my personal life…actually I used to date someone in Germany…but anyway let’s leave it, leave that personal life aside for now.”

1. Gabriel Afolayan.

Popular for his talent and also being a member of the gifted Afolayan dynasty, Gabriel’s efforts in music have been unwaning.

Going by the stage name G-Fresh, the Theatre Arts Graduate of the University of Ibadan has over 10 songs to his credit.

In 2010, he released his debut Kokoro Ife which got fans and critics amazed at his great vocal dexterity.

Since then, he has released several singles and music videos which have all enjoyed massive airplay and downloads.

Nollywood actress, Sola Kosoko who is also one of the daughters of veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, disclosed in a recent chat with Punch, her marriage to her beau, Mr Abiodun Abina whom she has been married to since 2012.

How have you been copying with marriage and acting, do you stay with your husband?

Of course we stay together. I just spoke with him on the phone now. My husband is based here in Nigeria. He works in a telecommunication company as an architect. I just came back from abroad where I had gone to deliver my baby. So, back to the question of how I have been coping with marriage and acting, I would say it’s been God all the way. If I say it’s been easy, that means I’m not being truthful to myself. Combining marriage, acting and motherhood is very tasking, but the Lord has always been my strength.

How did you meet your husband?

The truth of the matter is that I have known my husband even before I became this famous. He has been my very close friend since I was in secondary school but we never dated, he was always there supporting me. He’s very good at calculations and I’m not that good, so he was always helpful. Even when I got admission into the higher institution, he never turned back; he supported me academically and financially. We met shortly before my 20th birthday in 1999, but I told him I wasn’t ready for a relationship.

Popular Yoruba comic actor, Sanyeri, has reportedly injured himself while performing a stunt during a recent shooting of his new movie “Asiwaju” featuring Mr. Ibu.

In his words;

“I got injured on the set of the movie I just concluded works on. I did a stunt and broke my leg. I am not in a hospital, I am at home but as we speak I have a POP cast on my leg.”

“The character I was playing had to climb the roof of a house because he had some spiritual problems. When the landlord of the house realised that someone was on his roof, he called the police and while avoiding arrest, the character had to jump off the roof of the house.”

Yoruba movie star, Mojisola Olaiya, who recently premiered her movie, Iya Oko in a brief chat with City People opens up on the state of the Yoruba movie industry.
According to her, she says many movie scripts have always been about crime and prostitution and nothing reasonable to talk about.

In her words, “What I would have to say about that is that I do more of soaps now, and when we talk about the Yoruba movie industry right now, to really be truthful, the kind of production coming out this days are not the kind of productions that teach morals. Most of the time when productions come out or when you are giving a script, you have to play a role of prostitute or crime, and stuffs. So I just have to sit down and watch the kind of script I really want to take, and now there is no money in the industry anymore, unlike before when we used to make money.”


Moji also added, “I can’t imagine myself going on set for five days and coming back with peanuts. So I have to consider that as well. Besides I have a new business now, you know we are growing, and you know this industry is not a life time thing like I think., so I say to myself, while I am still young, let me channel my energy towards diverse things, that doesn’t mean I am quitting the industry. I still play my part in the industry if I am called. The reason why I am not too frequent right now is firstly the payment, secondly the kind of stories they produce now. It is rare to see a very good story now. It is just few people that produce good script now”.
