Sometime last November when I was a little bit less busy, I applied for an international VA role in a very big firm.

And they just replied me on Friday 27th inviting me for an interview and onboarding.

That's like almost 5 months later.

Funnily enough, I didn't accept the invitation because I am now very occupied.

I have sent them an email to see whether I can refer people for the role.

For you guys complaining about not getting a response, just keep applying, you'll surely get soon, the firm might not be ready to employ after advertising for employment.

Just keep checking your mail box daily and your spam too.

Here are 3 things you should update in your CV this New Year:

✏️ Skills:- Ensure that your CV has the in-demand and relevant skillset needed in your field. It doesn't matter if these are skills you already possess or if you're still learning. It should reflect in your CV.

✏️ Achievements:- Instead of listing out the duties and responsibilities you performed at your previous place of work, replace them instead with the results, numbers and key metrics you were able to attain.

✏️ Keywords:- Many organizations now depend on ATS systems to screen CV's and if your CV doesn't carry the appropraite keywords, it would be screened out by the ATS system so always ensure you tailor your CV to each job you apply to and use the exact keywords used in the job advert.

Note that your CV shouldn’t just list what you do but should sell the unique value you bring.
