Scolari's error. Alves should have played instead of Maicon. Alves is smarter. Dante is weak

Brazilians are shell shocked. Wailing in the stands. Silver missed in the defence

A corner kick taken by kroos finds an unmarked muller, who taps in. School boy error by Brazil. Luiz left his muller all by himself

abatically: Suarez is a single player from Uruguayan team. Zuniga's challenge is part of what we see in football everyday. It is a different thing entirely when a whole team fights for money and boycott training and threaten to boycott a match. Jeez Ghana even flew $3 million cash to Brazil. What a disgrace.
You getting disjointed and clutching at straws with ur views. Fighting for money was not done on the playing pitch. French fought on racial lines in 2010
Sports › Re: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by nonjebose(m): 3:55pm On Jul 08, 2014
felipemadero: e.g James Rodriguez?
Why Rodriguez and not Sterling or iniesta?
Sports › Re: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by nonjebose(m): 3:42pm On Jul 08, 2014
abatically: You are missing Gareth Bale, peter Cech, Marek Hamsik, Henrich Mkhitaryan.

Yes Africans are needed to promote global image, but FIFA makes only little money from Africa. Do u wanna talk about the empty Stadiums in South Africa 2010? Africa lack real talents and it looks like its getting worse. Africa had more stars in the 90's than they do right now.
if you are missing those guys, then watch champions league. And you are very poor in your analysis that africa has nothing to offer. They may not have done well as a team, but players like Slimani, jonathan Mensah,Gervinho, etc really played better than some of over hyped foreign players
Sports › Re: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by nonjebose(m): 3:29pm On Jul 08, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: No card was given in Suarez's case and yet it was not over. Fifa investigated the case and took action. What Mara Dona is saying is that, if Matuidi intentionally broke Onazi's leg, which Maradona believes was intentional. Fifa should investigate it like the Suarez case because he considers Matuidi's action worse.

FIFA has announced their staffs will investigate the Neymar's case. If they are to investigate it, they should also do the same for Onazi. It is not about a developed league or not. It is a FIFA organised tournament. Equality should be a standard. Even if it is a player from Somalia or Myanmar.
Well said

Wrong. Africa would be missed.

Sweetlemon: Well it depends on the level of cheating. If it's serial cheating then no to the rich cheat and the broke faithful too. In fact most especially the broke faithful. Where was he when his mates were hustling and still hustling for money?
Besides, poverty humbles people. You can never tell a man's true character or how much he loves you until he can stand comfortably on his own two feet.
lol

Sweetlemon: None.

Both are potentially dangerous!
v Got to be a rich and faithful guy for you. Or are all men dangerous

thegoodjoehunt: A players performance is beyond just watching. Some people on this thread said Mikel never tackles. That is based on what they watched. Yet he had a higher tackle rate than Matuidi.

So criticising base on what you watch is wrong. It does not show the true reflection of things. That is why everyone can not be coaches.
Why do you find it difficult to accept that Matuidi was better. Btw,have you ever wondered why the FIFA monthly ranking has little or no bearing on the perception of teams by soccer enthusiasts? Simple, statistics that are not objective. What tackles are they talking about? The guy was so confused in Brazil

obeski13: what i am saying is that he has the potential to be a greater player than he was.he ought to be competing with likes of Zidane, roberto Baggio and co.am not saying he didnt do well, but he had what it takes to be better
atleast he paid his dues. Did u ever read Ronaldinho's comment on him? He was never a dull player

Djangocode: @ Chelsea, Mikel's being benched not cuz his coach is biased, Mikel's Gameplay needs a complete Overhaul.. I've seen DMF's n CMF's that are damn good.. Sergio Busquets | Cheik Tiote | Fernandinho | Cabaye | Yaya Toure | Kevin Strootman | De Jong | Blaise Matuidi.. These dudes throw in crunching Tackles, break-up play, Start Counter attack, Spread passes and ease burden off the team.. What can Mikel Do, Throw tackle and still play a Back Pass(Most times Unnecessary)..

Mikel cannot Mark without fouling his opponent, he has no pace, no agility, no sublime pass, no attacking spirit, no shot, no swerve, no aerial prowess.. Damn, what else can the niccur do besides playing Playstation3.. When they Broke Onazi's Leg, Erybody saw the doom that lay ahead.. Onazi deserves more merit than anyone in that Team.. Without him, all our Opposition team will exploit our defense like a Database with no Password.. Watch Matuidi's style of play(Tireless runner and tidy in possession), Watch DeJong's tackle and assist against Chile, Watch Fernandinho's incessant marking of James Rodriguez and his goal against Cameroun.. These are men that up their game erytime they kick a ball.. My definition of Mikel is like "Running an Android 4.4kitkat on a 20mb RAM Android Phone".. His perception of football has a backward compatibility of the Year 1563BC.. Etim Esin's Point on this matter came through Loud and Clear..

thegoodjoehunt: Okocha was moved to the wings at PSG. It took time for Okocha to reach the pinnacle of his game. Okocha's game changer started at Bolton, not PSG. At PSG he still was not at the top of his game. He still played for himself, not the team.
You don't get it. His individualism was spectacular to say the least even at PSG,such tha coach Fernandez was short of accolades for him. Mikel's individualism is gone, teamwork very poor.

thegoodjoehunt: Vidal is one of my best midfielders especially when it comes to his all round play.

Any player that did better than Vidal does not deserved to be crucified by his people.
an unfit Vidal was better than a fit Mikel. More creative and battling

obeski13: .d guy is very correct.despite okocha's enormous skills he was overlooked by a lot of big teams becos he waste a lot time on d ball showboating.he is not as impactful and effective as people thought.that was why kanu was able to play for bigger teams than he did.d same problem is what is bedevilling moses, inspite of his skills, he is not dat very impactful.modern footballer combine skills with efficency and effectiveness
For all of his errors, he was still a match winner for both club and SE. I have already listed all other qualities that endeared him to us. If you have the time scroll back

thegoodjoehunt: What about how many stray passes Onazi passed? What about how many wide shots?

I am not slating anyone, I am saying Mikel is not as bad as you guys made it. Mikel recovered more balls than Arturo Vidal. That shows Mikel is not as poor as you guys make him to be. He covered more distance than any Supper Eagles player. That shows he put in much work into the team.
why Vidal all the time! Vidal was far more creative than Obi. Even at that,he was substituted in almost all their matches. Remember also Vidal just barely made the team becos of his recovery from injury.
