This is serious. I can imagine the level of frustration that led to this drastic action. Some of these tenants may have refused to pay rent just because the house was inherited, while restocking their business to the tune of millions. Wait o, is it all the tenants that refused to pay their rents! My former boss abandoned the house he inherited from his dad for heartless tenant. He had his own properties, so was not too bothered

It is the standard on many farms stop talking like some of us have never been to a farm before, yes it is a lot for money but it may be what is required.

There are enough young engineers in Nigeria maybe they shld device a solution that has commercial value.

I live in a country in EU where the major business for centuries was farming and still is in the rural areas. Most farmers fence their many hectares of land using wood because barbed wire is barned because of wildlife safety.
You are missing the point. This is not just a case of wild lives straying into farms. This is a case of deliberate and calculated herding of cattle into farms. Whatever you recommend for the farmers must be extended to the herders. Since you mention living in europe, then ranching should not be a novel idea. It is a standard practice

If you kill someone on your farmland I do hope you can defend yourself in court. Your only option would be protection of life and/or property in the face of imminent danger and that is very hard to prove or disprove . God help you.
You shld spend that money installing steel poles and barbed wires round your farm
Do you think a commercial farm is the size of a plot of land? While spending money erecting barbed wires and steel poles round several hectares of farmland, what happens to the trespasser doing same for his cattle
PoliticsRe: Cattle Colonies In Nigeria: 16 States Ready by nonjebose(m): 1:34pm On Jan 21, 2018
“We won’t come to a state, take land and give Fulani or Hausa or Itsekiri or Idoma or Tiv and say this area has been seized and given to an ethnic group. That’s not the idea but we’ll also tell the herdsmen: ‘If you are passing through a state, you can only go to the colony and stay there, feed your cattle and, when you are moving off, agro -rangers will follow you and make sure you don’t destroy anybody’s farm.'”
The statement above shows how sloppy, dangerous and impracticable the scheme would turn out. Hope the agro rangers would carry AK 47 or rocket launchers as they move around monitoring the herdsmen. The policy only seek to preserve nomadism.

I actually agree with him on this one. I hold the opinion of people appreciating God for healing, after all, God guides the hands of the Doctor during surgery whether he believes in God or not. Appreciate the Doctor with a gift, appreciate God with a sincere thank you from the heart and the evidence of it from your giving to those who are still sick and still in the hospitals. The clergy needs to learn from the Apostle Paul (the greatest Christian Missionary) who worked (tent making) to support his ministry. He never relied on the congregation for his upkeep. In fact, he was the one helping others too.
You are wrong. Even Apostle desired gifts from the church to help the needy and for his welfare. Check your scriptures. Besides many of these pastors are not even full time. Many have schools, clinics and other businesses

Giving gifts to pastors is not appreciating God. Most pastors these days are already rich. If you want to appreciate God give to the poor and the less privileged and God will bless you all the more. Many pastors are in it for the money. Giving to them does not honour God.
I disagree with that assertion. Giving gifts to pastors honours God as much as giving to the poor. Check your scriptures. Pastors having money or not is not the issue here, A pastor or church prays on your behalf, and the prayers are answered through healing or a miracle. I dont think what you would be thinking next is " what would the rich pastor do with my money".

Look at the vegetation of the pictures.
I will engage in constructive discourse. The ecological fund allocated to many northern states over the years should have taken care of this. The problem with nomadism is the assumption held and forcefully shoved down the ordinary herdsman's throat by the fulani elites, that it is a cultural practice which must be defended to the death.

Ekoishome:
Is it the fault of the South that there is desertification in the North? As much as the herdsmen need to find food/feed for their cows so also the farmers need their crops to grow for bountiful harvest! You cannot continue with something that has failed or unsuccessful just because it is your way of life for donkey years and expect improvement. The truth is that with the current scheme of things such as climate change, population growth and modernization these have made open grazing unrealistic!
There is ecological fund mapped out in the budget every year! The government should address the issue of desert encroachment, water source rehabilitation etc which will favor parties from both sides! Afterall most of the vegetables consumed come from the North and it will be unrealistic for farmers in far away North to come trooping to the South requesting for farm land because of desert encroachment etc! The North practices water irrigation system for their farming, how come something similar cannot be created for the herdsmen!
I sense a cynical motive here...create a PROBLEM then proffer a fake solution that serves the innate selfish/negative interest you want to achieve. People need to stay woke...
My thoughts exactly. Farmers in the north have a good and sensible plan of action in taking care of water irrigation, use of fertilizers and mechanized practices. The herdsmen issue is more of cultural than climactic. The sponsors should come out and outline what they proposed to the federal government, that it seems difficult to implement
PoliticsRe: Sultan And I Are Miyetti Allah’s Patrons, Says Sanusi by nonjebose(m): 3:01pm On Jan 14, 2018
The emir mentioned (i) desertification in the north (ii) competition for grazing areas. The second is a direct consequence of the first. Having said that , desertification may not be noticeable in the south, but competition for land is also growing. It is this competition for arable land among farmers that is exacerbated by the destructive grazing practices of the herdsmen. Farmlands are either inherited or rented by farmers, and not appropriated by Federal government as seen in the federal grazing reserves. It is glaring that the local farmers need this land for survival. Miyetti Allah sponsors and cattle owners should invest in ranches and request for support from the government. They should stop taking the stand that grazing is an age long cultural practice of the herdsmen. Cultural practices are constantly changing all over the world. They should drop the sense of entitlement, and realise that the green land areas seen in most parts of the country are a subject of interest to farmers.

If there are witnesses against him as alleged by the Lagos command, then appearing before IG would not save him.
PoliticsRe: Benue Fulani Herdsmen Killings: Buhari Commiserates With Governor Ortom by nonjebose(m): 5:48pm On Jan 03, 2018
Like i said before, the governor failed the people. It was clear that the herdsmen were going to resist the recently passed anti- grazing law in the state, yet serious measures at properly arming the livestock guards were not taken. The issue of proliferation of small arms is no longer on the table. The herdsmen deliberately attacked the livestock guards inorder to instill fear. They have been arrested, only to be freed later

R.I.P Goalkeeper Raymond King of Abiola Babes.

I remember in 1986 at the filled-to-rafters National Stadium, Surulere. Reliable defender, Toyin Ayinla of Abiola Babes, under pressure from Uwem Ekarika of Leventis United, attempted a loooooong back pass to Raymond King. However, Toyin Ayinla somehow contrived to lob the ball over the head of Raymond King, who had left his line, to score an own-goal in favour Leventis United of Ibadan during the FA CUP final.

Late Chief M.K.O Abiola, owner of Abiola Babes FC, sitting at the V.I.P State box was at the stadium that day. He put his two hands on his head and screamed "YEEEEPARIPAAAAA!!!" at that incident. LMAO!

Abiola Babes were highly favoured to win that match and they battled to no avail for an equaliser until the final blast of the whistle. Toyin Ayinla and Raymond King both wept like a babies after that match.

Nigerian football was so interesting then.
Wow. I remember that, and also when Ogbein Fawole's backhead pass to out-rushing Raymond King beat the goalkeeper, with the ball landing coolly at the back of the net, in the presence of over 80,000 spectators. The occasion; Final of the CAF Champions cup match against Zamalek. It was a defeat that sent the famous Odegbami into retirement

Politicians use these evil men for various purposes. They arm them, fund them, release them from detention, with the hope that they can unleash them when necessary. Unfortunately, these men can not always be restrained. They have their own vendetta and sundry evil issues to take care of. Has any election been won without these cultists playing a role in disenfranchising the people or subjugating the will of the people? I guess not. It is so unfortunate that the brazen actions of these boys stem from the protection they get politicians

OP divorce her, your children would survive. The cause of this is that many women don't get to marry the men they love. The settle for the one the don't love because he got cash or he is ready for marriage immediately.

It not always the ex boyfriend's fault. In most cases, it is the married woman that leads him on. Speaking from personal experience an ex chatted with me during the first week of her marriage that we should remain close. I told her we can't.
So true. They ask that you remain friends, not minding that this could ignite old flame.
