Apple Inc. which was founded by a famous entrepreneur Steve Jobs was founded in 1976. It is a multinational company headquartered in Cupertino, California and deals in electronic and telecommunication technological devices. It is considered to be the world’s second largest technology company after Samsung according to revenue generated.
Apple Inc. is famous for its iPhone, iPad and iOS software which also give tough competition to its biggest competitor Samsung. Its total revenue was more than $170 billion in 2013. Tim Cook is currently serving as the Chief operating officer of Apple Inc.

2. Google

Google Corporation is an American multinational company which deals in providing internet facilities. It was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were completing their PhD’s from Stanford University. Its main service is to provide a search engine which is also the world’s most used and trusted search engine. It was founded in 1998 and its headquarters are situated in Menlo Park, California. Moreover, it also provides online software’s such as cloud storage service, email, an office suite and social networking service. It also provides much application for editing pictures, instant messaging etc. Google also produces high end mobile phones known as Nexus by collaborating with different major electronic companies.

3. Coca Cola

Who is not aware of Coca Cola drink these days? Every fridge has experienced the presence of Coca Cola more than once in its life. It is the leading brand of carbonated drinks. Coca Cola also known as Coke, has got a unique taste and the formula of soda is a secret one, not known to anyone except a few personnel. Therefore the concentrate is produced in the company which is further sold to Coke bottlers around the world. Coke was first invented by John Pemberton in 19th century. Coke has got finest marketing trends and the credit goes to Ass Griggs Candler who made it the third most selling brand from 20th century. Some other sodas in the market under the brand of Coca Cola are Diet Coke, Coca Cola Cherry, Coca Cola Vanilla, Coca Cola Zero and Caffeine Free Coca Cola.

4. IBM

International Business Machines was founded by Thomas J.Watson and Charles Ranlett Flint in 1911 as Computing Tabulating Recording Company (CTR). The company adopted the name IBM in 1924. This is another American multinational company which deals mainly in technology and also as consulting services. It is headquartered in Armonk, New york. It is widely known as computer hardware and software developers but they are also inventors of devices such as automated teller machine(atm), Universal Product Code(UPC), hard disk drive etc. IBM has a very distinctive team of employees who have received five Nobel Prizes, ten National Medal for Technology and six Turing Awards.

5. Microsoft

Microsoft has a wide range of software and hardware products. Software products include Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows (Installed in almost every computer). While hardware products consists of Xbox game and series of Microsoft tablets. Microsoft is basically a multinational company whose headquarters are in Redmond, Washington. Microsoft was launched by the combined efforts of Bill Gates (his name is not anonymous in the IT world) and Paul Allen in 1975. From that date till now, history of Microsoft is full of success stories. A huge credit can be given to Microsoft as it has changed the whole scenario of technology ever since its birth.

6. General Electric

General electric also known as GE is an American Multinational company which deals in manufacturing electrical appliances. It was founded in 1892 by a joint venture of Edison General Electric Company and Thomson-Houston Electric Company. Its current revenue is $147 billion and current chairman is Jeffery Immelt.

7. McDonald’s

McDonald’s, the very favorite of children, holds the position of the largest fast food chain of hamburgers. McDonald has got about 35000 outlets throughout the world and receives 68 million customers daily. Major items of McDonald’s include cheese burgers, hamburgers, French fries, chicken pieces, milkshakes, desserts etc. Kids are mostly attracted to Happy Meal through which they get a free toy as well. For the regular customers, good news is that the menu is expanded to salads, smoothies, wraps, fish and seasoned fries by the company recently.

8. Samsung

Samsung Group was founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul in Samsung Town, Seoul. Samsung group was originally founded as a trading company but now it deals in many areas such as food processing, electrical appliances, microchips, apparel, chemiclas, telecommunication appliances and many more. Its current revenue is $327 billion which is one of the reason it has a powerful influence on economic development of South Korea. Samsung’s current chairman is Lee kun-hee, son of founder Lee Byung-chul.

9. Intel

Intel Corporation founded in July 18, 1968 has its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, United States. It is an American multinational company which manufactures semiconductor chips. Moreover, it’s the world’s largest chip maker company and is also highest valued semiconductor company due to its revenue. Its founders were Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce and its current Chief operating officer is Brian Krzanich. Intel is also one of the pioneers of microprocessors, motherboard chip-sets and other computer related technologies.

In this modern and rapidly developing world people run for brands instead of quality of the product. Although people should prefer to the quality of product as there are good quality items available in a cheaper rate.
