I think NYSC act is outdated and the program should be made optional. While I don't want to join the debate as to whether it has any merit or not, I think if a person has got something doing after graduation, she/he should be exempted because if you leave any opportunity and go for NYSC, the opportunity may no longer be there by the time you come back after service year. |
This has become a forum where "facts" are manufactured. People are religious but with zero conscience. |
Thank God. I am so happy he's recovering and I pray for his full recovery. |
Beautiful |
Nigerians are intolerant of one another especially when religion is involved and this is hypocrisy given what we know that majority do not follow the tenets of their supposed religion and many of the leaders are cultists in the night and religious vanguards in the day. Even same faith ticket is not new. Awolowo ran for president on Christian/Christian ticket - his running mate was Phillip Umeadi. Azikwe ran on Christian/Christian ticket- his running mate was Ishaya Audu from middle belt. Abiola ran on Muslim/Muslim ticket. What was on the front burner during their own campaigns was their vision to catapult Nigeria to the league of developed nations but now our focus is how we will share everything and leave the nation stagnant. Sadly the masses who are the end lossers are ready to fight one another to show support for these wolves in sheep clothing. |
It is high time Nigerians realized that political and religious leaders belong to the same class - the establishment. When are we going to stop being a ready and willing tool in their hands when they are competing for recognition or positions? We need to stop the argument and look for a better way to hold whoever providence has made the leader accountable and put them on their toes so that they deliver common good to the masses |
Religions that the appointees subscribe to does not really matter but what positive contribution they can make to save the impoverished masses. However, majority of the masses have been brainwashed to the extent that they also view everything from the prism of religion. This weakness of the masses is recognized by the political class and other people with ulterior motives and this they exploit to the fullest to keep the masses divided and distracted while keeping themselves relevant and powerful. |
