Sports / England 1 Spain 0 (england Defeats European And World Cup Champions) by NovellP: 11:29pm On Nov 12, 2011
As you know already, England defeated Spain (the European and World Cup Champions) today at Wembley, London, England by 1 goal. Thanks to Frank Lampard header in the 49th minute of the game. So just curious know, which country is the best in everything? I mean in domestic League and in National side after seeing today's international friendly game. England definitely surprised everyone today with their performance against the European Champions, World Cup Champions and the country that has the best team in the World when it comes to talking of the Champions' League Champions Barcelona FC.

So for all those English Football haters, what do you have to say now

Nairaland / General / Documentary On Lagos Recently Shown In North America On Documentary Tv Channel: by NovellP: 5:34am On Nov 05, 2011
For True Documentary fans and for your Knowledge,

For your interest.  If it happens you are not into Documentary on cities across the World, for example like Lagos, Nigeria (the biggest city in Nigeria) as mentioned here, please disregard this message.  My sincere Apology.

I must admit, I recently saw a show just few days ago on the Documentary network station about the streets of Lagos City.  The Documentary is entitled, "Louis Theroux - Law and Disorder in Lagos."  It seems to have been shown on the BBC network TV station last year.  It's a documentary hosted by a British Journalist visiting Lagos in 2010 (last year), that shows who has the control of streets in Lagos.  Louis Theroux also spends time with the Area boys gang and the Government's Paramilitary task force.  I am happy to have recorded it.  It is almost exactly one hour in length and it is commercial free.  Guess what?  You too can also watch the whole documentary online.  To view the whole documentary, please feel free to view the link below and just click on the play Icon red button on the video for the video to start and to play for almost one hour.

http://documentaryheaven.com/louis-theroux-law-and-disorder-in-lagos/ (link to watch the whole documentary)

Oshodi, Lagos is shown during the Documentary.  They even showed a detailed walk inside the mansion of the Boss of the Area boys gang residing at Lagos, Nigeria.  He seems to be their boss.  As quoted on the link below, "The main income for the Area Boys is an arbitrary and unofficial form of taxation, extracted from local businesses and commercial drivers. Louis gets to know the rich and glamorous Area Boy leader MC, a former street youth himself, who has now become a friend of the most powerful men in the city."

http://louistheroux.com/programmes/lagos.php (on Law and Disorder on the Streets of Lagos City --- It also shows links to other cities across the World on your right hand side)

After watching the Documentary, MC doesn't even talk much.  His assistant is the one talking and answering all the questions on behalf of his boss known as MC.  The Documentary really enlightens one about the streets of Lagos city.  No question about it, there are some filthy rich people living at Lagos, Nigeria.  And then it shows how unfair some shop owners have to go through in owning a business on the streets of Lagos city.  I was amazed to see the Paramilitary task force destroying some shops with their heavy machines.  The reason given, were because the owners of the shops were warned in advance and they had no documents of whatsoever to show their building is legal to be built on the land.

Just thought it will be great to share to you this recent Documentary which was broadcasted on the Documentary network.

Feel free to spread the words out.  Thank you.

For True Soul Music/Hip Hop Music Fans across the World -- For Good Entertainment purposes only, Enjoy and feel free to spread the words, Thank you

As you know already, I couldn't resist not informing you of one more good old school classic soul song worth listening to, if you are a true soul music fan. It's by Danesha Starr featuring Rome, entitled, "As long as I live". Unfortunately this song was rarely played on radio waves back in the summer of 1998 but it became a bit famous in the African Music Community. Wish Ms. Danesha Starr was still singing. Too many good singers out there don't sing anymore. It's just get to show you we all live in a very diverse changing and competitive world. Things changes and that's another reason why the Almighty God is so great. From I (DJ Novell) to you, wishing you a Happy Black History Month (February 2011) wherever you are,

Music/Radio / What Happened To Adeva? The Best -- Frankie Knuckles Mix Of Beautiful Love: by NovellP: 9:25pm On Jan 08, 2011
Hello.  As you know by now, I am into World Music including my beloved Country Nigerian music.  Not sure if you remember Adeva, the American Dance Singer back in the late 80's and early 90's.  What amazes me is how come singers like her don't sing anymore?   For instance, if you want to know what I mean, try listening to Adeva's - "Beautiful Love" -- the Remix version on Youtube.com.  Time waits for no one.  Time is certainly precious.

My favorite mix is that of Frankie Knuckles' mix of up to 8 minutes 34 seconds which can be heard also on Youtube.com at

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKzNoh7sYoM&feature=related (I believe this is the BEST version, Enjoy),

Politics / Interesting Articles--President Of Nigeria In 2011-- April 22nd 1990 Coup: by NovellP: 12:52am On Jan 01, 2011
For true Nigerians, Fans of Nigeria, and West African Politics Fans,

Hello All.  Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Seasons wherever you are.  Once again, wishing you a Happy New Year in Advance.    I know the New Year starts today.    To be precise on Saturday, January 1st 2011.

As a true Nigerian, I couldn't resist bringing up the topic of the upcoming 2011 Presidential Election in Nigeria.  Which comes within the next three months.  In regards to Babangida, one of the Candidates running to become President, I remember back on Sunday, April 22nd 1990 when I was at Lagos, on the early morning hours, a coup was being staged against him across most parts of Lagos state.  Back then, the capital of Nigeria was Lagos city within Lagos State.  Woke up in the morning, and I heard noises of War from miles and miles away.  At that time, I was residing at the Ojo Local area of Lagos State.  An intense coup was being staged against Babangida's Government regime.  From what was said on Wikipedia.org, the Coup Plotters lead by Major Gideon Orkar chased President Babangida through the Presidential residence (at that time located at Dodan Barracks).  Babangida wisely took a secret Back route at Dodan Barracks to escape from the Coup Plotters.  Later that day Babangida's Goverment crushed the Coup staged.  Up to now, it is still considered to be the last most bloodiest coup staged in Nigeria. Up to Two Hundred military officers were eventually arrested and executed for being involved in staging the Coup.  Now the one and only former Military President Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida wants to run for President again.  Will he be successful?  What's his reasons to become President again? Only the Almighty God knows the beginning to the End.  I am not to Judge on the outcome of this New year's Federal Presidential Election but all I want, is for Nigeria to have a fair Presidential Election and for the best to still come from the Election for Nigeria.

Major Gideon Orkar and other young military officers back then, had a good cause for Nigeria for staging the last Coup.

From Left to Right: Captain N. Empere (Military Police), Major Gideon G. Orkar (Armour), Captain P.A. Dakolo (Infantry), Lt. C.O. Ozualor (Armour) and Lt. C.O. Odey.

Sometimes, I wonder where Nigeria will have been by now, if only they were successful.  For more infos about Babangida, the coup staged on that day, views on Babangida running to become Nigeria's President again, and recent CNN Interview with Babangida, please feel free to view the links below.  Enjoy and do feel free to spread the words out, Thank you

May the Almighty God bless Nigeria in this New Year of 2011 with the right President,
