Bros you even noticed the silence on his part ? During the earlier days Elrufai and some of those guys you listed were crazy and ranting but now their voices are needed by the old man to help him shout they all kept mute not even in attendant to his rallies..its as if it is tinubu and mostly ewarriors that are doing their payed job, they are simply disapointed in the choice of the presidential flag bearer.
This is so true.
They did not fight for tinubu and Buhari to benefit. Even Emir of Kano does not like Buhari. This is not the change they want.

@OP;

Have you checked online using this Web address - www.govote.ng/pickup/ to know where your PVC actually is? It may not be where you think/have been told it is. The Web address has been featuring in many threads on this forum, and has helped people that I personally know to get their PVC's without further stress. See if it will help.

Good luck!

I hereby plead with the moderators to bring this topic to the fore. Nairaland has done a great job on helping the voice of the voiceless.

My vote should count as a Nigerian. This is the only right step to the change we crave for.

It is only fair that we use all available medium to bring national issues to the fore. Mr. Seun please help me in my bid to exercise my rights as a Nigerian by being able to vote come 140215.

Front page my observation since no formal platform is available for me to make my case with INEC. My only interface are the reps who said they cannot help my situation.
Thanks.

Mine isn't marked nor have any body thumb printed on my behalf but it isn't there. It is useless if these cards are provided after the election. At such point what use would it be since I am unable to cast my vote?

She said there is nothing INEC can do between this short time. Why would my card be missing is the big question? It is curious that all other individuals in the same situation are not from the south west.

This your permutation is not admissible anymore under GEJ leadership.

He is not an arm twister, he will always allow organs of government to operate independently but it is obvious that his democratic sense of doing things have often time been abused by those appointed to man the affairs of such national bodies. At such point, questions must be brought to bear.
Why can't regisitered voters vote with their TVCs and why do we have collection rate of PVCs in the North that is filled with strife higher than the southern part of Nigeria where peace reigns?

Those are questions JEGA needs to answer and cannot be alluded to Jonathan's democratic values.

I voted fashola in 2011 and Jonathan for President in the same year. I still believe in the good work of APC at the Lagos state level but with the history and baggage Buhari bringd onboard, no sane person can vote him.

Ambode just got short changed because APC is chasing goals yet proven to be attainable come 140215.

My vote at state level for Ambode just got alienated. Doing yourselves and think you are doing others.

What is happening to me is happening in Lagos state; a south western state and insinuations by INEC staff points fingers to politicians in Lagos resisting the need for a people to exercise the rights to vote.

I keep on saying it: southerners are not sufficiently clued-on, and they're their worst enemy! Don't be surprised the north east (with all it's on-going security problems) will record better PVC collection rates than any region in the south!
The south west sense of pragmatism is what is destroying southern politics and togetherness. They help the north succeed then the north will dumb them and again seek their face when the going is tough and they go back all over again. I don't understand it.

Its obvious dat Jega has his own agenda
Meanwhile in the North, nobody is directed to go to a local government to pick up their pvcS. They give the PVCs to village heads who distribute the cards to their people. In the North, they have recorded over 90% collection rate while we are struggling to achieve 60% collection rate across the southern region.

Buhari could not account for $2billion USD as minister of petroleum resources at this time. Going by inflation rate today. This man can be said to be one of the biggest criminals in Nigeria. Remember Naira was worth more than dollar at the time.
Nonetheless. If we decide to simply do the maths based on thr rate today. Buhari stole over 400 billion Naira in 1979.

Please nairaland, this is a verifiable info. I registered to vote at Agungi Mosque Ajiran in 2011, thus when it was time for PVC pick up, I went to the mosque for pick up but noticed that INEC had no presence there.

Subsequently I read in the papers that all registered voters should go to their local government council for PVC cards. I did visit my local council and I was directed to go to IKota primary school towards VGC to pick up my PVC.

Since a month and half INEC officials have been tossing me around. Upon my first visit, I presented my TVC with which they identified me on the list but when they checked based on my ward number 028 for my PVC, they could not find it. I was told to write down my name and serial number which I did. The lady further instructed me to visit the week after that INEC will send new card for me. I visited and they told me new cards are yet to come and they directed I vist this week (which is three weeks from the day I first visited). The lady told me yesterday that she is sorry that my card cannot be available before elections.

I threatened to arrest them for selling my PVC and the lady out of fear confessed they have nothing to do with missing PVCs that all questions should be directed to the local government chairman and Jega that they are only doing as instructed.

I was aghast and stunned and realized that something is fundamentally wrong with our country, the system and pathetically wrong with the Institution Jega is running.

These are the same set of people going on national tv and telling Nigerians that all is set for 2015 elections.
The big question is: why can't legitimate voters who can't grab their PVCs use their TVCs?

God bless Nigeria.

Legitimate registered voters are currently being frustrated in Lagos state. I went for my pvc, after confirming that I was the original temporal card holder and identifying me, they could not find my pvc because someone has collected it. INEC in Lagos are taking orders from Jagaban.

The Muslim girl distributing the cards told me in person that it is the APC making live difficult for them o. Igbo Efon local government area chairman is colluding with inec to rig elections already for APC. This is happening right now at IKota primary school along lekki Epe express way. The place is crowdy and the story is that pvcs are missing.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Now Has 5.9m Registered Voters –INEC by Noviolence2015:
iwaeda:
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says Lagos State now has 5.9 million registered voters ahead of next week’s presidential election.
The commission has also deployed its staff to all polling units in Lagos to distribute the Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs in the next five days.
Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola addressed newsmen on Thursday evening after a meeting with INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, for Lagos, Akin Orebiyi.
He said from his interface with the REC, Lagos now has 5,905,000 registered voters, urging all residents who had registered but who had not collected their PVCs to proceed to their polling units from today by 8.30am to start collecting their cards.
Speaking at the State House, Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Fashola said the REC had briefed him of the readiness of INEC to commence the distribution exercise from Wednesday 8.30a.m to 5.30p.m in the evening daily and lasting till Sunday.
He stated that what has changed is that from the former Wards Collation Offices of INEC, the collection has been moved closer to the people at the primary places where they usually vote and which they are familiar with and irrespective of where they registered.
The governor also advised all those who have registered freshly to also proceed to the Polling Units where INEC has made arrangements to distribute the PVC to them, stressing that in case there are difficulties the state government would continue to work with INEC towards providing solutions.
“I would keep an eye to see this new phase of the exercise. It allows the people the opportunity to vote and as I said, this exercise would start Wednesday. There are five days to do this, so that as many people as possible and hopefully everybody who is registered can get theirs at their poling units,” he stated.
On what Lagosians should expect from the latest exercise, Fashola said it is for them to make out time and go out and make the sacrifice, adding that he would continue to insist that the umpire must get it right.
“I know people have tried. I have heard people say they have been to the places, the Ward Offices eight times and some four times and for me if you have made that kind of efforts, the real success must come in not giving up and I don’t give up and that is why I continue to address the issue.
“I have made state broadcasts, I have granted interviews, I won’t give up on our people. They must get a chance to participate so the people themselves must be willing to persist and to persevere so that they will get an opportunity to have a say in how their affairs are ordered by being able to vote at the next elections,” he explained.
He appealed to such people to see the hitherto unsuccessful efforts as adversity and hopefully when they succeed they would have the final joy on election days to say they finally voted and that would be the real success story in the difficult exercise of collecting Permanent Voter’s Cards.
When reminded that he was yet to collect his PVC, the governor maintained that he won’t give up and that INEC has acknowledged that it has received quite a number of more voter’s cards and his is presumably amongst them.
Affirming that he would not collect the PVC until the majority of Lagosians collect theirs, he declared: “A captain does not leave a ship when there is crisis and I must make sure all the passengers are safely evacuated so I want Lagosians to get theirs first. As a Governor, I enjoy certain privileges but I can’t go ahead of them so I want them to take the fullest benefit of this exercise before I collect mine.”
