The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, yesterday appealed to residents of the state to abide by measures stipulated by the ministry of health to combat cases of Influenza A/H1N1, also known as Swine Flu. According to reports on Tuesday, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris, revealed that the woman who died from the A/H1N1 virus may have contracted the infection from the United States before returning to Nigeria. He said it was the third case in Lagos and the only death recorded. Mr. Fashola, however, said the state government is "on top of the situation," and that plans to procure vaccines from manufacturing countries abroad are in top gear. FASHOLA! FASHOLA!! FASHOLA!!!
