Policemen collecting money for bail are kidnappers – Lagos CP

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Zubairu Muazu, on Tuesday inaugurated a statement-taking room for the CID Panti, Yaba, warning that policemen collecting money for bail were not different from kidnappers and would not be spared.

At the inauguration on Tuesday, Muazu commended RoLAC for the initiative, noting that statement-taking was important in police investigation

The commissioner said that statement-taking was the foundation of police investigation.

He said the facility was important to police operations, assuring the British Council that it would be put to effective use.

The Lagos police boss warned officers men of the command against corrupt activities, saying that anyone caught would be decisively dealt with.

AFCON 2019: Mikel Obi speaks to NFF president


Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, has praised the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick .

Mikel Obi made the comments on Tuesday during the team’s meeting with the NFF.

“There is no doubt that your administration has done very, very well for this team.

“A lot of things have changed with regards to traveling, lodging, and other logistics. We stay in the best hotels and fly chartered aircraft to matches. Your good self and the NFF as an institution also make it a point to fulfill all promises made to the team.



“Let me assure you that we are very committed not only to win against South Africa on Wednesday but to win this championship. We have confidence that we will go all the way,” Mikel Obi said in response.

The president then presented the sum of $75,000 promised the team by NFF’s Official Optimum Partner, AITEO Group, for their three goals against Cameroon in Saturday’s Round of 16 in Alexandria.
