To me law makers do their work on part time as they only sit about 66days out of 261/2 days a year, they even earn more than civil servants that works all year round. Law makers shld be paid per sitting |
Oh oh oh, Atiku is immuned to arrest? Then let him go to the U. S lets see the efficacy of 'arrest immune drug' he was injected with. Naija no be U. S oooooooh! |
Its unbeleivable for sambo |

@ toba, someone is a president only in his country, the evil that men/women do lives with them. If Atiku is elected as president wldn't he travel to America if not for other reason but to attend U. N summit? |
@ shimfe, well am just an ordinary person like u in comandclem, though i do call to knw the updates. I will advice u to call/e-mail them to knw whatzup |

Since i have been thinking what this thread is all about, i've just realise that its a joke. TAKE IT TO THE JOKE SECTION |
@ jamesugo, u said 'Another strategy of embezzlement'. So i ask, how will part time law makers (per sitting payment system - PSPS) be a strategy of embezzlemen? |
@ nna boy, u are getting to my thought, but the problem now is since they are the law makers they will not pass such into law. how can we go about it? |
Whoever has the will to preside over nigeria's political affairs, not being forced to |
@ jamesugo, how do u mean? |
Moderator, pls ban ikomi for bringing up a posted dated topic that can destabilise the polity in the niger delta and nigeria. |
@ omo tier 1, u will be in ur office and N'deltans will be in the polluted waters fishing death poisoned fish? |
How shld this be forwarded to the entire public, can it be by questinaires or by sampling public opinion verbally? |
He doesn't yield to intimidation from any body and he has integrity |
Is switzerland an immune country that will not effect her arrest? @ omo ibo, as u said u knw she has lived in switzerland for about 2yrs now, is it the same address mentioned in the report that she stays? |
killing innocent pple, burning houses, it looks idiotic to the intelligence unit of the security outfit that shld rather monitor Togo for possible arrest. Gej is taking a bad step for future reference if at all |
Can a govt do all things as u guys are saying in 8 months? Most of u are apolitical and dont knw the workings of govt. Poor u |

@ poster, 1. who is the other party? 2. Why did SNG visit the president at midnight? 3. If it was a bribe, what did it intend to induce SNG for? 4 Can a sane govt report bribe case it did to the press as u are trying to logic it? Any govt has a provision for visitors, that money wasn't a bribe! |
@ seanet02, ordinary board member in a commission or parastatal, do u knw how much they earn. So law makers job is enormous than that. Just suggest how much they shld be paid per sitting if u agree |
Zoning is a thorn in the flesh for purpose leaders. Man has about 70yrs to exist, someone who has the will to preside over nigeria's affairs politically will with-draw and wait for their zone's turn, what if he dies? His/her vision for nigeria goes with him and due to the gap, an unwilling person may be push up just to accomplish that zone's slot. He wldnt perform because it is not out of his will. THE CONST'TN OF The FRN doesnt recognise zoning, if it was so good it would have done so. |
i always reason that developed countries may have passed through what nigeria is passing through only that their colonial masters didn't pen them down due to some classified reasons. Nigeria's major problem is jumbo pay to political office holders and THE ELECTORATES especially because they fail to effect RECALL PROCESS to non performing officers. |
@ dapsse, yes they do on part time basis, are they paid per sitting? No. Now should they be paid per sitting? |
@ bluetooth, if u scrap the legislature, it will result to fusion of the arms of govt and it becomes parliamentary not federal system of govt. |

Reactions are coming out from nigeria's apex bank gov'nor - Mr. Sanusi and minister of finance - Mr. Aganga, on F. G's huge expences on nigeria's law makers. Is it worth for nigeria to have part-time law makers so as to reduce huge expenses on our legislature? This means that nigeria's law makers shall be paid per sitting. |
@ kcjazz, thanks 4 seeing reasons but where i think has contributed to corruption is the use of state funds in running the campaigns, lobbying, buying traditional rulers, victimisation, they will not tell u they use state funds. Misuse of state apparatus like the police. Imagine my state capital has the highest check point than any other state capital in nigeria, but kidnapping, arm robbery, assasinations and the like is the order of the day just to realise a 2nd term by force. |
Atiku after reducing company tax will have the opportunity to steal more money, then complain of economic recession. Just imagine Atiku btwen 2004-2008 stole $6 billion to U. S alone, do u knw if he stole to Dubai? |
@ beaf, u can say that again. Is the U. S senate control by jonathan? The hidden is now revealled. |
