He's not the first to have been there. Others like Awolowo had gone to prison and hell didn't fall. Abiola was even 'kpaid' in custody while his wife was shut dead by the government for daring to protest his killing, yet heaven is still in the sky, so what's the noise about Kanu going to prison?
