Treasureprince1: " First, as I said before, it is important to remember that this Proclamation only restricts entry on certain categories of immigrant visas. Family members can still visit their loved ones, businesses can still employ qualified candidates, and other visits can take place on a temporary basis with a non-immigrant visa."
I just observed he used certain categories of immigrant visas and not all categories of immigrant visas. Hopefully fiance(e) and spousal visas won't be affected I read that too but I thought he meant visit like on a b1/b2 visa. Let’s hope for the best. |

Treasureprince1: honestly i don't even know what to say, my wedding plans and other things put in place would really be affected if this ban affects the k1 applicants. I'm optimistic and positive the ban would be lifted soon. Please let's be strong, bond more with our fiance(e)s and hope for the best. Sadly, delay on our cases is inevitable but it will end in praise by God's grace. The ban definitely affects the K1 visa since it’s an immigrant visa. Let’s be hopefully, delay is not denial. I’m more pained that I didn’t choose a February date when I had the chance to. But God knows best in this situation. |

Paccus: for those of you that has passed NOA2, what will happen when the ban is lifted will you continue to visa application or start afresh At this point we don’t know what the next steps are. We don’t know if a fresh application will be needed or what’s next. |

Dutchleez: Here are my thoughts though.
To those who have secured an interview date which falls after the effect, you might likely be contacted by the embassy for an interview for an earlier date or otherwise. I’m convinced your interview will still take place.
And those who haven’t secured any date yet, you’d likely be advised by the embassy to secure a date on or before the effect.
And to those who are still on with their respective petition with USCIS or just got approved. The case might not be sent to Nigeria since we are no longer eligible. Effect from January 21st, links to immigrants visa application will be totally removed on the website.
You might choose to ignore the above as they are just my own thoughts. I don’t think they prevent immigrant applications, even with the ban you can still apply but will be denied under presidential proclamation/travel ban. This is sad indeed and I wish there was something that could be done about it. Only God knows if this ban will be lifted and if so how long it will take. |

Drsmileade: Yes attend your intervuew if it is before February 21.
What is the solution to this travel ban for those awaiting interview. Are we still meant to attend the interview. I can’t believe this is happening. And if it’s after what happens?. |

Dutchleez: Oh yeah. I did mine in Abuja and payment was made before attending my appointment. Find attached details of the account that was given to me if it tally with yours. Oh great! Everything tallies! Thanks for the info |

dicsnemma: Those who did their medical in Abuja should please give a response to this.
In my own opinion, if the account details tallies with the name of the Clinic and you got the details from their contact information via google, then you should be fine. I heard QLife also confirms your appointment only after you make payment.
PS: Read the reviews too. It helps a lot.

Kokomo: Hello boss good morning, where will I see the appointment confirmation number? Good morning, it’s at the bottom of that page. Where the Barcodes are. The first bar code is for ds160 number. Check under the barcode and make sure the number matches your actual ds160 confirmation number. |

I thought I should put this info out there as it’s been very common lately. If your Ds160 confirmation number doesn’t match your appointment confirmation number, simply call 01 227 8955 and it will be fixed instantly and you will be emailed a new appointment confirmation letter. Stay blessed xx |

brownesugar: Hello NTUK1 1:it doesnt take time if status says its in transit to the embassy closer to you(2/3)days max 2:speaking from experience and advise from elders in this forum best is you &your hubby or wife waits for a mail from the embassy that they are ready to begin the final process before paying visa fees&scheduling appointment to avoid stress of calling them to link your ds-160 number to your appointment letter&co..its always better to walk with one shadows than faster however you may start filling your form(ds160) so that when scheduling ur app ur ds160 num can easily be linked to it automatically. 3:dont know what its like now but someone else might 4: places to do it in abuja will come with the medical packet ,IOM is one of the accredited clinics for medicals in abuja,ur medicals can be done after booking ur appointment and two/3 weeks to your app.. cos it reads too and has expiring date, moreover u need appointment letter to do med cos is strictly by app..so also is getting your police certificate the all have expiry dates.. Attached below is Abuja IOM addy..best wishes..cheers This was very helpful. Thank you darling! |
