So, why are you posting it? And posting the person's full name?
What are you hoping to achieve with this post?
Did the person beg you to help him or her post it?
Yeah. It came across to me that way. Should have redacted that info as was done with the other details.

EH only had their aptitude test a month+ ago so yes, many people will stilll be getting first round interview invites
Some EH also had theirs in April. It appears there are different recruitment streams for the EHs, I guess based on departments/divisions. But for the GHs it's quite confusing that there are different batches.

What's the latest update please?
Nothing new from my end. We keep waiting I guess.

StDeborah:
Yep, you caught me. I thought it would be last month, but then there was a call for another medical round, which most likely pushed it forward.

You don't have to take my updates sha, if you don't want to. I'll give whoever is concerned, which are very few at this point. Last last, your doubt will not take the offers from those who eventually get them.

Even the person saying they can cancel this round of recruitment, lol. Your negativity will not attract this to you.

We move.
The message here for you should be don't be so sure when you are not the one making the final decisions.

Oga, this one you are saying is plenty English ooo...go and check the trend from way back...almost everything StDeborah has said actually happened that way...so na to observe
It's like you don't know that Exxon has cancelled an entire recruitment program in the past (IIRC it happened over a decade ago). Well, going by what she said the offers are to come this month/week so we shall see.

I normally do. It's my domain expansion.
Lol! Nobody knows for sure, even the guys in Exxon can't say. The industry is going through uncertain times in Nigeria that affect entire budgets, so many differed production optimization operations and projects; and yes even down to recruitment.

Please does anyone have an idea how long it takes before we get feedback after the aptitude test?
We had our aptitude test on 20th July.

Supply chain experience hire
It took about a month.

Really, because I have been following this trend and offers are supposed to come out like a week or two after medicals. Also this recruitment process has reached 8 good months (since December 18th).
If you read the whole of my post you will see the peculiar circumstances that makes this different.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxonmobil Graduate Engineer Trainee by NUGBVB1909: 1:01pm On Jul 22, 2024
Seaborn21:
It’s quite weird. Coz from past Nairaland threads. Exxon doesn’t delay in their employment process.
We should understand that the circumstances are different with the whole divestment and now the move to their new office. But the timeline is just about the same as the previous one.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxonmobil Graduate Engineer Trainee by NUGBVB1909: 1:36pm On Jul 11, 2024
StDeborah:
Exactly wrong. A lot goes into hiring a new staff. Registration, health provider, pension plan, etc. Exxon will not go through all those processes, just to transfer the staff to Seplat. Seplat is doing their own recruitment now, and any staff not already transferred will probably be hired directly by them.

Any staff hired by Exxon this year will most likely work FOR EXXON.
You sound certain and reliably informed, so I guess that's good to know. But it won't be the first time an IOC recruits someone only to let go of the person a few months later. This is not me saying the same will apply here but to say it isn't out of the ordinary.

Having said that, in my interview, I also asked how the divestment would affect those to be recruited from this process. The response I got was that no one is certain of their place (both the old and the new recruits) and that everything will be assessed eventually when it is time. I took that response as them not wanting to give anything away to someone who is still an outsider interviewing and that's quite understandable, but I've got to say it wasn't reassuring. But your analogy is reasonable in the sense that Exxon may be anticipating that a good number of their current staff may wish to move over to Seplat.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxonmobil Graduate Engineer Trainee by NUGBVB1909: 8:12am On Jul 04, 2024
UGraced:
I heard something to the contrary though for EHs. So my source says no EH has been invited for medicals and the process kinda stalled due to their recent move to their smaller office that can barely accommodate the current workers how much more new ones. So they are looking at finalizing the divestment first so that some current staff will move over to Seplat creating space for the new intakes who will remain with Exxon. It's unclear where the new intakes will move to (Exxon or Seplat).

Well, I guess since no one on this platform can confirm getting an invite for medicals we can only speculate. All the best to those who are successful.
Interesting. Conflicting reports on this forum all the time. Thanks at least for the clarity of your comment, whether right or wrong. Most comments here are vague like it's supposed to be a mystery to be solved smiley.

Both are showing completed.

I completed Round 1 in April and Round 2 last week. It was 30 days apart.
Thanks. Mine is still showing Round 1 completed even after I did two rounds of interviews on the same day that I was scheduled for the Round 1 interview. Fingers crossed still.

All the best and thanks for sharing.

It depends on the tiredness of those recruiting. Sometimes they do everything in a single day for EH especially if there weren't lots of candidates

I had my Round 2 interview last week, which was scheduled for 30 minutes but lasted about 40 minutes. The panelists were the GM and a senior HR rep. The interview primarily focused on understanding my personality and assessing if it fits into the company culture and values. This was an Experienced Hire
This was a similar experience with mine although everything was done the same day so I am not even sure again. Please what is your status showing?

I did not ask for the type of questions asked since I was not invited. But one thing I am sure of is that it is 30 mins.

Read about competency based questions (CBI) on Google. It will answer your question on obj or theory.
I had a separate session with the GMs on the same day I had the panel interview, I don't know if that is the second interview or it's the same first interview. But the interviews with the GMs were basically questions from my CV and kind of profiling where I may best fit in the company. It lasted about 30 mins.

Really? Bad Belle? on a faceless platform? You make me laugh. So quick to respond without reading in between the lines. I knew why i used the word "some" and they know themselves. Enjoy!
The spirit of your message wasn't in good taste and, no offense intended, it came across as quite arrogant. I couldn't understand the purpose of it, but if you feel justified about it, carry on. You make light of what is at stake here by calling this a mere faceless platform, but you should know that the people behind these user accounts are real with emotions hanging in the balance because they have put a lot of effort into this - for some of us this is as real as it gets.

I rest my case and wish you the best.

lmao…I noticed some of the active ones are speechless because the interviews humbled them. They are waiting for that miraculous mail and someone who would come here to spoon feed them with info like Hercules and the other Exxon informants did. It’s better everyone stays mute till success or regret mails drops.
This message smells "bad belle" and totally unnecessary. Would you rather everyone was quiet from the get-go and not share at all?

Is there anyone from PH who has gone for interview in Lagos?
Yes. I am billed for next week. I had to request a reschedule due to work-related issues and travel logistics that made it near impossible to meet up the 1 day notice.

Bro this is unrelated and probably a silly question to ask but please when you did the aptitude test like how many questions were you able to get their answers in the mathematics section

Also how was the test overall
Did you know you killed it
Or it didn’t go so well and you were surprised that they called you for the next stage

This question also applies to other guys that had their application status changed from under review to application in progress

And the purpose of this question is so people who haven’t gotten positive feedback so far can know where to put their mind and also know how to jazz up for the should in case we want to do a similar aptitude test for Exxon Mobil in the nearest future
Silly questions are usually the right ones that most are not bold enough to ask. But sincerely, in this situation how can one know the questions you got correctly, there is no feedback on that ( I have written some tests where your results are displayed immediately after the test).

Having said that, aptitude tests are speed and accuracy tests, and as such you may not necessarily recall all the questions and answers, and for me I don't necessarily do exact calculations, mostly mental maths techniques (you have to learn how to use approximation techniques to close in on the right answer, i.e intelligent guessing techniques). There are online resources that can help you learn such techniques and prepare better for such tests.

Did I know I killed it? Well, I can only say my confidence level for each of them is as follows:

Abstract: Very high, perhaps confident enough to say I should be hitting the above 90% mark. Had sufficient time remaining to go through each question again to dot the i's and cross the t's and still had about a minute remaining.

Verbal: High - say the 80%ish mark. Had some time remaining to also revise my answers but not as much as for the Abstract test.

Quantitative: Mid to high - I couldn't finish but I must admit it wasn't also one of my best. I had a very bad start (perhaps due to insufficient preparations unlike the ones I have done in the past) and that affected me all the way, I only properly attempted like 75% of the questions, the remaining were intelligent guessing cool.

In a nutshell, preparation is key, aptitude tests are methodological tests that require some level of training just like IELTS, GRE/GMAT, etc.

Does anyone know what the interview process is like for Experienced Hires?

It appears we will be having two interviews, one technical and the other non-technical, but i'm not sure. I just know I've got to appear at Exxon on Monday (tomorrow) and Tuesday (next day) as per their invitation. The first invite noted to be prepared for technical exercises and candidate should be equipped with a scientific calculator.

Anyone has any insights? Any interview questions from those who have experienced the process before will also help.
Really, mine is just the one face-to-face interview for 45 mins. You see this was why I asked earlier if there was going to be a skilled test. The recruitment process in 2019 for EH was just skil- test (discipline-based), then interview round 1, and a final interview before the medicals and offer; there was no aptitude test (only for GTs). Apparently, they are taking a different approach this time around. Do you mind if I ask how many years of experience you have? I just want to get clarity here.

For the graduate engineer role, if in your application, you stated that you're currently working elsewhere at the moment, they must have skipped you. I guess that was the mistake I made.
Especially if you work in a reputable establishment.
Wrong! It's rather the opposite, they will be more eager to assess you.
