Please guys, lets encourage competition and not over leverage on StanbicIBTC MMF. Competition is in our best interest. We are not working for StanbicIBTC.
I have hit the target amount for my savings in StanbicIBTC Money Market fund. I currently shopping for another good Money Market fund.
I haven’t gathered enough information to reach a decision. I am open to suggestions. I no fit pack money for only StanbicIBTC MMF, I no wan hear shoot bird mama fly  yoU need investment-one! |

Good afternoon to the mutual fund gurus. I have patiently read this thread from the beginning. But I will like to ask some few questions.
1. I observed that the interest rate of top mutual fund managers does not differ too much, so besides the rate, which of:
(a) ARM
(b) Stanbic IBTC or
(c) Investment One, is more suitable to invest in base on:
(i) Good customer service
(ii) Transparency
(iii) Ease of tracking your investment
(iv) Ease to top-up more funds and cash out and
(v) Pay tax-free interest and quick compounding interest to original capital (not waiting till quarterly).
2. Secondly, people here have constantly held the position that Balanced Fund is a better investment choice than MMF for long-term investment even though the interest rate for Balanced Fund is lesser than MMF, can someone explain why. I have attached and asteric the interest rate for both Balanced Fund and MMF for two mutual fund managers (ARM and Stanbic) as at today.
To help me get quality advice, my investment plan is long-term (Maybe 7yrs and compounding the interest) and maybe spread 5m across different of fund type.
Experience gurus, help me with advice to help me opti. mised my portfolio. THanks . What is the minimum amount I can invest there . Well it is a long term investment, Vantage Balanced Fund. open an account with investment one minimum amount is N10,000 you can like their facebook page and ask question their customer service is ok. Used 28816 as your reference number. Read more on their website www.investment-one.com The good News is VBF invest in real estate, equity, money market F etc. |

You can download the app from google playstore it is called stanbicibtc mobile app #appyness once you download the app install it and follow the instructions under the "open an account" option.. Then you select mutual fund and follow the instructions... A simple way i calculate is amount to invest divided by 100 then answer multiplied by 17% (which is current interest rate) then you divide the answer by 12 to give you monthly interest and further divide by 30days to give you daily interest... for example
#5000\100 = 50
Then 50 x17% (interest) = #850 yearly
Then #850 /12months = #70.83k monthly
Then #70.83k monthly /30days in a month = #2.36 dsily
So for your 5k thats how much you make... Guess it is still better than leaving it in a savings account...
You can start small and continue to add more funds to your investment as you wish.. All the best ma . Bros, help calculate that of balanced fund with 5.12% |
