RECIPE:
3 medium sized apple…
3 eggs
¾ cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
1.5 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate powder
¼ cup milk
50g butter

Add the crushed apple in a bowl, then the eggs and the oil in a blender and blend it for at least 5 minutes. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and baking powder.

Next step is to pour the apple-egg-oil puree in to the dry ingredients mixture. Place in a 8-inch cake pan and bake for 45min at 350 F.
For the icing, just mix sugar, chocolate powder, milk and butter in a saucepan and mix it well. When it comes to a boil, wait 1 minute and turn off the heat.

Wonders they say shall never end. We actually live in world of wicked generation. Another disaster have happened again in Kawo area of Kaduna State.

A 53-year-old man, Mallam Saleh Magaji, on Wednesday allegedly killed four of his children and attempted to kill himself after a quarrel with his wife.

Information from a reliable source have it that the man had allegedly tried to kill his wife the previous night but she left the house located on Ahmadu Bello Street in the Kawo area of Kaduna, the state capital. However it was reported they had a minor quarrel.

Thereafter, the man allegedly locked the door of the house and used a knife to kill the four children who were between the ages of six and one.
It was learnt that the suspect said he was sure that he and his children would go to heaven.
One of his children who was not in the house at the time, alerted the ward leader of the area, when he found the door to the residence locked from inside on Wednesday afternoon.

When the neighbours and some policemen forced the door to the house open, the children were already dead while their father was still alive but in a critical condition.
It was learnt that the man and the children had been conveyed to St Gerard’s General Hospital in Kakuri, Kaduna.

Our correspondent, who visited the emergency ward of the hospital, observed that Magaji was in a pool of blood with a deep cut in his throat.

He attempted to speak to nurses and doctors on duty but was incoherent.
The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Zubairu, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

The police spokesperson said the wife reported the matter to the police.
Zubairu said, “The wife came to report to us, and when policemen got to the house, they met the house locked. But the police called on the Mai Ungwan (village head) of the area to witness the policemen force the door open.

“When they opened the door, they saw the four dead bodies of the children. And policemen also discovered that the man wrote something on the wall of the room, alleging that his wife had tried to poison him, and since she could not succeed, he decided to kill all members of the family, including himself, so that all of them can go to heaven.”

The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Zubairu, confirmed investigations was ongoing.

Preparation
1. Spice and boil Gizzard, adding the grounded garlic and ginger.

2. Cut and boil the unripe plantains with a little salt till soft.
3. Drain Gizzards of meat stock

4. Fry Gizzards slightly till they are browned and drain off excess oil. (you may chose not to fry the gizzard)

5. Heat groundnut Oil and then throw in sliced onions and all the sliced peppers. Fry a little.

6. Add a little meat stock into the hot oil, allow to boil a little. Drain out the unripe plantain. Add the unripe plantain, add the Gizzards. Stir together on low heat. Taste for salt.
Serve with a glass of freshly squeezed juice.

Less than a week after they were born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the conjoined twin girls have died. The head of the intensive care unit, Abid Hossian Molla said they died on Sunday after apparently suffering from heart failure. They were taken into intensive care at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh’s biggest public hospital, which set up a team of specialists to treat them.


“She was not in a stable condition since she was born. She died before we could intervene,” said Hossian Molla. “She was a rare conjoined twins with two heads. She had two hands and two legs like any normal baby, but inside she had two hearts, two sets of lungs and shared pelvic organs.” he added.

The birth of this type of conjoined twins – who develop after a fertilized egg cell fails to divide fully – is extremely rare, with most cases occurring in southwest Asia and Africa.

Last year, a baby with two heads was born to a mother in India, who was too poor to have an ultrasound during her pregnancy. However, the infants died after 20 days.

Another baby named Kiron was also born in Bangladesh with two heads in 2008, but later died.

There have been instances of dicephalic parapagus twins being born in the West.

In July 2009, Lisa Chamberlain, from Portsmouth, gave birth to twins Joshua and Jayden, who shared the same single body.
