It's only in the South-West you will see them processing palm oil like this, and I believe that's the reason why their palm oil usually has odor as I witnessed throughout my stay in Ibadan (please I mean no harm).

In the East, they have machines both big and small that process palm oil. They don't process palm oil the way Op posted above.

Yeah very likely with federal power.

I was thinking that by now he will be in apc because he was seriously romancing apc as of last year.

But many forces will still be against him even he decamped to apc, because many sees him as dubious and unloyal person since after his issue with the owner of Cosharis Group, Cosmas Maduka.

Obaze doesn't stand any chances at all. That he knows the new chief of staff doesn't add anything.

APGA leadership is having issues with many influencial wealthy people in Anambra. The Governor seems to be favoring only people from Anambra North and ignoring others, as it stands now their only hope is the religious leaders except if they settled with them before that time.

APC doesn't have leader in the state currently, Chris Ngige that suppose to be playing leadership role doesn't care either.

YPP - Ifeanyi Uba will win the Anambra south comfortably but his challenges will come from Central/North as many of them doesn't like him.

PDP seems to be learning from their past experiences, as it stands now they seemed united and coordinated but you don't conclude until after primaries.

In Anambra State, Governorship election depends on how well you negotiated with the influencial people from various communities and as well as religious leaders (Catholic and Anglican). Any party that get that successfully, wins the state.

I don't know where you came from, but if you have a relative in Enugu, Imo or Anambra, I beg you to ask them if they have ever seen a poor man leading as the head in the Catholic Church over there.
U must be a NORTHERNER, NO DOUBT, because only few people in your state knows about the Catholic Church, 99 % of your people are Muslims.

Stop generalizing things.

Many parishes in Anambra state mostly Awka, Newi and Ekwulobia dioceses have different people of financial backgrounds as their leaders respectively.

I know a parish where primary school teacher is the cwo chairlady,

I know of parish where a local printer (some call them Artist, those people that usually draw and print sign post locally) is the chairman of CMO.

I also know a local electrician who is chairman of CMO.

I have seen a retired teacher, a retired olden days Typists.

I have seen a woman who sells plantain in a local market being a CWO chairlady.

I have seen a woman who owns a shop that distribute sachets and bottles water to social events as chairlady of CWO.

Issue of leadership is mostly based on personnels who can influence others either financially (due to projects going on in that particular church most times), morally or otherwise.

So it's all depends, you can't compare Nigeria to Western countries when it comes to church matters, Nigerians have a different attitude towards church matters. You can't just go and pick someone who doesn't have any influence in the society to lead, no body will listen to that person.

So stop spreading lies on the internet, making it look as if it's only wealthy people that leads in the church. It all depends on the locality. In Onitsha for instance where you have alot of wealthy business men and women, can you bring someone who hardly feed twice a day to be the chairman or chairlady?

The issue of North, you don't know anything about North, so keep quiet.
Who told you that 99% are Muslims in the North?
Who told you that Catholic Church are few in the north?

You're just here saying lies up and down.

You want names, right?
Mrs Linda Chukwu. We heard this during the domestic violence with her husband at my compound. Even the priest was confronted, but an Assemblies of God church pastor intervened and the matter died.
My colleague in airport were I work as a security has caught a priest with a married woman making live love in his car, he bribed them, so as not to go to police station in Enugu Emene station
Do you actually thought I am Dastard. I say what happens not what they say they say and he said.

I just went through all your comments here and the only thing I will advise you is to forget about becoming a priest. Just go and finish your HND program, get a job and serve God through other ways.

Thanks.
My Paris priest told me to be careful about the congregations I applied to, because many of them do not have a strong seat in Rome, while many of them don't have valid authority from the Bishop, etc, such congregations can expel you in the theology level just to have fewer seminarians to ordain, because they were not that popular or rich in terms of ordaining priests or having parishes on their own, etc, just things like that.
About being a religious priest, Sir, I really tried my best. I applied to Somascan, Claratians, Dominican, Capuchin, Redemptorist (the Vocations director told me they are on recession because of financial status, etc so they have not been accepting application letter for two years) and for the rest, I went for the first encounter and second encounter, which I spent 3 days in the mission house. Only God knows why I was not admitted. I have to move on, IT IS NOT A DO OR DIE AFFAIR. if that is HIS WILL, then who am I to twist it.
And for joining the seminary after primary, that will only help if you have the connections needed. We know about 35 of the aspirants that attended the same minor seminary school that we wrote the entrance exam in, but, during the day of our interview, we didn't see many of them, they didn't even pass the simple examination but they attended the minor seminary school. When I met one of them who failed on my way to park, we discussed, but, but, but, he said he is only trying his best because he knows that he is going no where, even if he came out in flying colors, that they won't grant him admission. He was the one that told me to call all the priest I know to assist rather than me depending on my intelligence or education. He really said many things which I believed. So Bro/Sir. We are in the world of who knows who. No connection nothing for you. I just pray I succeed with the NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE. I have to make a living nah!!!

Hmmm.., From the things you have said, I can only conclude that God never wanted you to serve Him as a priest.

When I graduated from the University in 2016, many priests were disturbing me then to join priesthood which I wasn't interested due to issue of celibacy and chastity. At one time my friend, a Rev. Sr. from Chile was a kind of making it a must thing.

So from the little knowledge and experiences I had, it's not all that difficult the way you're painting it here. Though I know that most Dioceses who already have a lot of priests and also some top Congregations usually make the entry process tough just to control the number of people joining.

But as I said earlier, maybe God never wanted you to serve Him as a priest.

Brother, I am a devout Catholic, I didn't say a priest didn't write any for me, but the one they requested must come from your parish priest, I mean your present parish priest, so we did by getting one from our parish priest, but what you don't understand is that, we were 75 that came to the exam to which 35 passed, now out of that 35, do you think they are going to choose on merit, NO, they won't. because they only need at least 5-8 persons to be admitted that year. they. So let's see it this way. If the Bishop, vicar General, assistant to the Bishop, treasural, secretary, or those lecturers in the seminary school gave a list of those they recommended or suggested or wished to join the seminary, do you think the Vocation directors will drop those candidate to choose we that only came with a recommendation letter from a priest we are not that acquainted to, remember that even the Vocation directors has his own cherish candidate including the people his friends wishes to include in the seminary. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENT THAT YOU ARE AN ALTAR SERVER IN A PARISH AND THAT YOU ARE A RELATIVE OF A PARISH PRIEST. I hope u definitely understand where I base my word? The same politics plays in recruiting soldiers, police, custom, etc is been played the worse in church. I believe you are a Nigerian, well, since none of your relatives has experience it, you may think I am lying. I still have the recommendation letters two priest gave to me here. Have you ever seen a poor and educated and intelligent man become the PRESIDENT OF THE CATHOLIC MEN ORGANISATION, or a poor woman become a Leader in the women organisation?
No, you must be rich and well connected, some women do sleep with priests to get that position, which is likely to be the reason the wife of this man died on bed with a priest. My brother, stop seeing those white garment men as Jesus. Many but not all are Jezebel's Husband AHAB. I REST MY CASE.

The way you painted the whole thing previously made me to comment the way I did.

But there're many Congregations out there looking for people. Though I know that when it comes to joining Priesthood many Aspirants are always selective. Most will always choose being a Diocesan priest over a Religious priest, and most Dioceses in Nigeria have a lot Priests these days which have resulted in making the entry process very difficult. So the easiest way to become a Diocesan priest these days is joining immediately after your Primary school education, joining after Secondary school education is always difficult.

For the politics part you talked about, there's politics everywhere and in everything we do in life.

About poor man or rich man being the chairman of CMO or chairlady of CWO depends, but wealthy people always influence things in our society. You will always see that in any African churches.

It's very wrong to see Pastors/Priests as Jesus Christ. They're humans and must disappoint your expections in one way or the other.

I tried it 3 years, but since me and my four friends no get top priests to speak to Vocations director on our behalf nor write a befitting or convincing recommendation to him, we are just here looking for work, we even left polytechnic to pursue this seminary admission, we passed their entrance examinations, but what happened then, they even gave admission to someone who failed the test. Nigerian Catholic Church Leaders. MAY GOD JUDGE US ALL. AMEN.

Nawa o.

The only thing needed from you is just a written recommendation note from a priest that can attest for your character.

If you said that you couldn't get one, it means you have not been a committed catholic. There's no way you will be a committed catholic without having many priests as your friends. It's normal everywhere.

By saying he is innocent. Basically he is entitled to compensation worth billions & d FG would have to pay it.

Read the bolded part below. The court didn't say he's not guilty.

Justice Eko explained that the declaration was on the ground that Justice Mohammed Idris was already a Justice of the Court of Appeal, as at the time he delivered the judgment sentencing the appellants.

He held that a Justice of the Court of Appeal cannot operate as a judge of the Federal High Court.

The apex court, therefore, ordered the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to reassign the case for trial.

It doesn't make sense. The few outside the country should have been lockout for the greater good.

That is what a reasonable and responsible government will do. Now see where we are.

There is hardly any thread in this forum you don't find beggars. Families are hungry, jobs are lost. No body knows what's up next

I'm happy you used the word reasonable and responsible.

Borders are still open and people are leaving and coming freely.

Yesterday some people came in from Enugu state without any hindrance. According to them, as they reached Amansi boundary, they boarded another vehicle that brought them to Awka.

Remember his daughter was in UK then.

Also many top politicians were outside the country then, so they can't lock themselves outside.
