Beautiful excellent infrastructure . Most state capitals like glorified villages of Owerri and Umuahia do not even have such quality roads than Anambra build in their hinterlands

Soludo Breaks Decades-Long Jinx, Commissions 26km Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awba Ofemili Road

After decades of abandonment and unfulfilled promises by successive administrations in the state, the people of Amansea, Ebenebe, Ugbenu, Ugbene, and Awba Ofemili communities can now have reasons to smile following the commissioning of the road crisscrossing the communities.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo commissioned the 26 Kilometer road which had been publicised, awarded and re-awarded by previous administrations many times without any tangible action.

Despite their contribution to the development of the state, the rural communities have remained obscure in every ramification.

With the completion and marking of the road, it now takes less than 25 minutes to drive from Awba-Ofemili to Awka, the state capital, a journey that took hours by road amidst its pitiable condition.

Governor Soludo stressed that he contested election because of Awka North and the component communities, reiterating that his government stands for the poorest of the poor, because a system is as strong as its weakest link.

The Governor described Awba-Ofemili as the major food basket of the nation, assuring that the lingering boundary issue between Awba-Ofemili and a community in Enugu State will be solved once and for all.

The Commissioner for Works, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma recalled that the road was awarded in September, 5, 2022 and completed within the record time, even though it took difficult engineering because of its terrain.

The contractors thanked the Governor for the support which is why they completed the road in record time and expressed willingness to continue partnering with the state government to offer more solutions to the challenges facing Ndị Anambra.

They asked benefitting communities to avoid blocking the drainages to ensure the road's durability.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr. Thankgod Anagor lauded the Governor for remembering them, because a journey that used to take hours, now takes about few minutes.

The Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, Chief Chikodi Anara stated that Governor Soludo brought Anambra to Awba-Ofemili and replicating same in other communities across the state, while the Member representing Awka North at the State House of Assembly, Hon. John-Mark Ikwunne said that successive administrations in the state politicized the road from time immemorial, but has been actualized by the present government to the glory of God.

Some people who spoke at the different communities including the President General of Amansea, Mr Chris Ughanze, President General of Ugbenu, Samson Ojoh, President General of Awba-Ofemili, Chief Emenike Nwakeze, Secretary, Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Lady Benedine Anagor and Chief Dennis Ngene said the road is promise made and promise kept by the Governor.

Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Joachin Anaeto, President General of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barr. Titus Akpudo, Traditional Rulers, among others, attended the event.

At the various locations visited, members of the communities trouped out en masse to receive the Governor and his entourage.

When a large number of SW people praise a governor in a state they don't live in, be wary of him. This is the same thing they did about Hope Uzodinma during the last Imo election.

A useless governor going to join other governors to commission projects in their states without having key projects to commission in his own state after spending 4 years in office.

In this case Soludo County s working unlike the fraudulent uzodimma that’s a failure and imo state has nothing to show

Stop being bitter at all times. Catholic is a general Igbo thing. Whatever nonsense you guys are doing in your backward abia state doesn’t concern igbos. But all everyone knows is that Catholic and Anglican are major Christian organizations in igboland

Nigercity:

I know this because I have spent a lot
Of time in most cities in southern Nigeria especially down East
Any Catholic church you see in Abia is 70 % dominated by Anambra men, the remaining 30 is shared between other igbos or non igbos
Different churches from Presbyterian, to assemblies of God church to Methodist all have there National Theological pastor training school in umuahia,
You can easily count Popular Anambra men, women, actors and actresses that are Catholic
I can bet you can't count up to 4 from Abia or 6 from rivers, or the part of IMO state close to umuahia that are Catholics
Catholic is not really a general igbo thing like you guys think, is basically an Anambra thing with imo orlu axis
Politics / Re: First University In Onitsha Taking Shape (photos) by NwekereNdokl: 11:30pm On Mar 12
You are totally correct

Unbiased1:

If not for the Catholic church, most Igbos alive today would have either been dead or not born due to the Civil war. The Catholic church's contributions to education, health and childcare support in Igboland is too much for them not to have special status in the East. Most of the best primary and secondary public schools in the east are run by the Catholic church, they also run the largest orphanage and childcare centers in the east. Now tell me, what has Oyedepo (or whatever you call him) done for easterners? Schools run by the Catholic church in the East are highly affordable, same can't be said of the schools run by Oyedepo and his church.
Politics / Re: First University In Onitsha Taking Shape (photos) by NwekereNdokl: 11:29pm On Mar 12
This dirty aba pig full of inferiority complex you are always on every Anambra threads crying like an ediot. What the guy said is a fact . Stop attacking people that states the fact. Also Onitsha was the first place the missionaries and western education first came to the eastern Nigeria.

Stop telling us about your backward useless abia state, no one cares about your nonsense abia state here.

Nigercity:

Stop generalizing bro
The effect of Catholic dominance was only in Anambra, orlu part of IMO and some parts of Enugu
But mostly Anambra!
You will hardly see a Catholic man from Abia, also igbo speaking part of rivers, owerri zone of imo state, ebonyi (especially afikpo axis) are largely Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian and protestant,
Ngwa people on there own are largely Adventist from okezie, to Alex otti e.t.c and that's why Clifford university exist in that axis, the also have numerous of secondary schools and motherless babies home within ngwaland, the remaining part of Abia, rivers, imo e.t.c are not Catholics
Catholics is only predominantly in Anambra, orlu imo axis and you can feel there impact there.

Except orji uzor kalu
Who grew up in northern Nigeria
I have never seen anyone or any Popular figure from Abia or my side in IMO that's a Catholic

Politics / Re: First University In Onitsha Taking Shape (photos) by NwekereNdokl: 9:41pm On Mar 12
Even when your backward useless worthless shithole imo state has no standard university that can match any university in Anambra. Imo state university in the glorified village Owerri is more or less a glorified secondary school but how you managed to have guys to post is still a mystery to me

Abagworo:

Politics / Re: First University In Onitsha Taking Shape (photos) by NwekereNdokl: 2:37pm On Mar 12
Onitsha is the headquarters of Catholic and Anglican churches in igboland because Onitsha was the first place the western education and Christian missionaries first established and headquartered and from there they went hinterland of igboland
