Litmus: Sometimes the Kenyans forget the title of the thread. Here's a reminder: on Nairaland, a Nigerian forum, a Kenyan posts, “Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Fact Don't Lie))”. Its a little like knocking on a neighbours doors and declaring,'hay you in there, come out and see, I have a better car than yours'. And when the guy comes out and defends the merits of his car against yours you get all upset and sulk.
Jealousy isn't a Nigeria trait unlike, it seems, as it is for Kenyans. On the whole, Nigerians are unconcerned by the existence of Africans elsewhere. Kenya could label itself Masters of the Universe for all Nigerians would care. And if Nigerians should find out that Kenya labelled itself Masters of the Universe, the majority of Nigerians would not say, 'no,Kenya isnt Master of the Univers, Kenya is a shithole', Nigerians would be like, “why shouldn't Kenya be Masters of the Universe, they have electricity”.
Nigerians don't generally have jealous tendencies and Africa should learn this from Nigeria because jealousy is a terrible trait . Many Nigerians cultures actively knock the trait out of youngsters. Ask kindly and I'll telly you how.
correction on that first sentence ,this thread was started by a nigerian ,not a kenyan, go to the first page and read it yourself

GOP reps question GAO findings in $418M drone sale to Kenya
Two House Republicans are taking issue with a new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report that found no problems with a pending deal to sell 12 U.S. drones to Kenya.
At issue is a Sept. 5 GAO report that scrutinizes a $418 million sole-source contract the Air Force unit Big Safari awarded to defense firm L-3 Technologies. The deal is for 12 weaponized drones to aid Kenya in its fight against the Somali militant group al-Shabaab.
Defense officials “did not have any reason to believe that Kenya improperly selected” the L-3 aircraft, and that “Kenya made a reasonable choice” in its selection, GAO wrote.

jln115: And? Maybe I should post a few articles on how Kenya only has 1 yes 1 white Rhino left in its entire country due to poaching!!! At least we haven't lost half our wildlife to poaching like Kenya or 99% of our wildlife like Nigeria.
do not confuse northern white rhinos with southern white rhino sub-species,
there are only 3 northern white rhinos left in the entire world ,all of them live in Kenya, the last male northern white rhino is one, they are not native to Kenya , one was brought in from congo for safety the others were from zoo's in the west. they were brought to breed in a protected conservancy
only black rhinos are native to kenya, southern and nothern white rhinos have never lived in Kenya but were imported from western zoo's for conservation and breeding programmes
the difference is that in Nairobi you can distinguish between a slum and normal housing, Lagos planning is all over you cant tell the difference between slums and what they call "normal housing"
below we can see the boundary of kibera and can clearly distinguish it as a slum compared to its surroundings

Kenya ranked second best in logistics index after South Africa
Kenya moved up 32 places in a World Bank ranking to become the second-most efficient African country in moving goods across borders. According to the latest Logistics Performance Index (LPI),
the country is in position 42, up from 74 in what is perhaps the global lender’s approval of the Government’s efforts to improve the ease of doing business. The country comes second to South Africa in the index that ranks logistics in 160 countries . Kenya’s LPI score of 3.33 puts it ahead of economies like Russia, Brazil and Argentina.
The report attributed this positive performance on “strong political will” and implementation of administration reforms in the region. “Relatively rapid improvements can also be achieved regionally if countries have a strong political will and align their efforts in implementing administrative reform.
This is the case, for example, for the Northern Corridor that links Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda with the Port of Mombasa in Kenya, and also serves eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Tanzania,” said the World Bank
Maduawuchukwu: If Nigerians know about the Dam in Ethiopia it is OK but it is by no means necessary. What concerns us with faraway East African countries? We don't share culture or history or even future aspirations so why should we be that bothered about what happens in your countries? To be honest we here are more concerned about what is happening in our numerous states which are wide enough to exhaust our attention that we cannot spare much for people we have little in common with. Painful but true.
oh really . tell that to the hundreds of threads on nairaland started by nigerians posting fake news stories from blogs about kenya.
a simple search on this site is enough to reveal how nigerians love badmouthing and talking about other african nations ,with a particular weird focus towards hoaxes and sex stories ,
there was even a particular month last year when threads about kenya would be on the front page of Nairaland almost every day, typical.
Hati13: I also love some Oromo songs, even if I don't know the language.
I also love some Tigray songs, but I love Amhara songs more, may be because I'm Amhara and can speak Amharic.
