Thanks. Tuition = 15,445 CAD Room & Board = 10,000 CAD Others = 3,500 CAD Funds Available = A summation of the above (plus any other funds available to you through your sponsor, if any) You should also show the source of the above funds and the possibility of the funds being available for the second year. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-how-documents.asp#doc3 tommee: |

No but it also depends on the school and how you're able to convince them that your first degree was in English Language. You should find out from your school. ejobeh: |

Thanks bro. First Application: Scholarship amount: 16,500 CAD per year, sponsor declared 5,000 CAD per year. Tuition: 3,717 CAD (per year) Room and Board: 10,000 CAD Other: 4,256 CAD Funds available for my stay: 21,500 CAD. My expenses in Canada will be paid by: Other Other: (1) Scholarship (Grant) (2) My Cousin. Second Application: Here, my cousin wrote a letter of support (not letter of sponsorship) stating that he was aware of my full scholarship but that he'll be supporting me with 15,000 CAD per year to ensure that i have a stress free stay. I stated in my LoE that i didn't need any additional funds considering the scholarship but that the additional funds was to cater for any eventualities. Tuition: 3,717 CAD (per year) Room and Board: 10,000 CAD Other: 2,000 CAD Funds available for my stay: 31,500 CAD. My expenses in Canada will be paid by: Other Other: Full Scholarship. In my LoE, there was a section titled Financial Requirements where i wrote the breakdown of Funds Available: 1. Scholarship (16,500 per year), My Cousin (15,000 per year). Total: 31,500 CAD per year. On the issue of third party sponsorship, my cousin wrote a more elaborate Letter of Support, stating why he was supporting me and i provided more proofs of our relationship and evidence of his previous supports (though i provided this in my first application). Also, in my LoE, there was a section titled Further Explanation Concerning Previous Refusal: Here, i stated that the reasons given for my previous refusal were bothered primarily on Finance which came as a shock to me considering the full scholarship from MUN. I also stated that i believed there was an oversight in the review of my previous application because the scholarship wasn't mentioned in my GCMS Notes, that the scholarship amount was more than sufficient for my studies and that i didn't need any additional funds but nevertheless, i had additional funds. I also increased my personal account balance from like 100k in my first application to like 1.5M in my second application. My people, Scholarship is not a curse, you just need to stress it in your LoE but you need to show additional funds. dannydenzy: 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Greetings Bosses, you guys are doing a terrific job here. I was a silent follower on this thread for long but I reached out to guys here when my first TRV application was refused back in July. My second application has just been approved. We Bless God! Here's my timeline: M.Eng (Electrical Engineering, MUN) 1st Application: May 5th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Refused: July 7th, 2017 (Insufficient Funds for tuition fees, Purpose of Visit, & Travel History) Ordered GCMS Notes immediately and it arrived on August 9th, 2017. VO said i was being sponsored by a third party (my cousin), limited evidence of relationship on file, limited travel history and weak evidence of personal financial establishment. Meanwhile, it was a fully funded admission, i had to stress that in my second application while also tackling the above reasons. Second Application: August 28th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Medical passed like three weeks later (same upfront medical i used for the first application) Application updated November 14th, 2017. Approved (I checked my profile the night before (13th) and review of eligibility had not started) Special shout out to @Thesoj; As soon as i got my admission in March 2017, one of my guys in Canada advised me to read all your posts from the beginning and i did, very enlightening. Thanks Boss. Very big thank you to @Maziude 1 of Ottawa who reviewed my LoE and pointed out areas where i sounded desperate, Lol. Thanks Boss! Special thanks to @Austinpee4, @Mcobex & @Jnyuwa02 for their inputs and advice on how to tackle my refusal reasons. I'm grateful. I believe my Scholarship was overlooked in the review of my first application because of the way i filled the financial section of my first application form but @Osemigho's post on that subject ensured that i didn't make the same mistake twice. Thank you bro! I'm happy to answer any questions and to help anybody in need of some guidance. Cheers Bosses. 21 Likes 1 Share |

TOpash: How about two or three pages before this? Your passport photo and this attachment here look out of place, the GCMS Note is more like a report or documentation of your details, with lots of abbreviations here and there. Please check if there's any other file in the mail you received from gcmsnow team |

Osemigho: If it's about having tens or hundreds of millions in account, people like myself shouldn't dream of Canada. Full funding is made for indigent scholars like myself. Goodluck to any that has it and still struggling to find millionaire sponsor. You Better don't waste your time! Just my ten kobo that I have to share. I'm not talking about the funding issue again. Thanks. Boss, Please, does this mean that even if you have any other money, you should fill your Scholarship amount as the Available Funds on CIC Form? 1 Like |

LightandDarkness: Oh, Ok. Thanks for the enlightenment. That means you filled the summation of your Tuition, Room & Board and Others, which implies that you filled 1k CAD as Others? |

deolutolu: Use any means of payment that will work for you, just the same way you paid your application fee to your school during your admission. If you have a friend in Canada that has a credit card, let the person help you, otherwise, you could use any debit card that works. |
10K CAD
Ok. Thanks. So, your Available Funds on your form was 27k CAD + 21k CAD = 48k CAD? |

deolutolu: Hi @deolutolu, No, you don't need your refusal letter to apply for your GCMS Notes. Now, as for reapplication, there's always this urge to reapply immediately after a refusal, but i think it's best to wait a bit for your GCMS notes which will help you to know what the VO thinks about you and how he/she came to the conclusion. Otherwise, it might be a blind reapplication and i bet nobody wants a second refusal, shii could get messy...Lol....My one cent. 1 Like |

deolutolu: Hi @deolutolu; You can use this link: http://gcmsnow.com/standard-gcms-notes/. Once you fill your details and make your payment, they'll send you a consent form to sign and send back to them. It takes about 30 days from the day they acknowledge receipt of your consent form. Cheers. |

Hi @LightandDarkness. Congrats on your approval. Please, aside this your 27K CAD funding, did you show any other source of financial support? How did you state it in your SOP? Thank you. LightandDarkness: |
