OK. thank you so much for your feedback. are there any problems drivers/car owners can encounter when they go for vehicle inspection?
I heard Uber inspection is not compulsory in Lagos anymore. So check if you actually have to do one.

Car Owners should install remote CCTV inside the car to monitor if bedroom activities is taking place in the car.

What of drivers that sleep in the car overnight?

What of drivers that collect Uber fare in kind when the gal is out of cash?

grin cheesy grin

Am just looking for small trouble ni jare.

But to be sincere, without any form of monitoring after the agreement has been signed, abuse is bound to happen because how would you know when such happen inside your car when it's with the driver.
My oga, me sef, today I have time. wink

The agreement is not for whether you will smoke or you will not smoke, it is so that the day the partner finds out, he can have something to fall back on in his argument. Otherwise, it would be that, "We never agreed I couldn't smoke and burn your seats, did we?"
Agreement in itself cannot stop anybody from doing anything, and that ironically is precisely why we sign them. Otherwise, people would do anything. grin

What happens to those drivers that get paid by riders to leave the car so that have a private discussion with opposite sex in the car.

The driver that leave the car with A/C on, do not know whether they are talking or talking.

grin grin grin
Lol, personally I do not leave my keys in the ignition when other people are in the car and I have to leave.
If you want to 'talk' with the windows up in the sweltering heat, fine, but I'm not leaving my keys in the ignition with perfect strangers, even if I had the best insurance and tracker in the world.

Most especially for 'nefarious' activities.
Small time they will ask for room service. grin wink

Imagine how stupid I would look, if someone paid me tops 5k for that arrangement and then zoomed off. Even me, I will not be able to report it to police.
I will just go home.

News Flash!!!
A friend of mine who gave his car to a driver didn't know the driver has been sub-renting out his car to SARS officials here in Lagos, this might not mean anything if the car owner cares about just money but then the car can be marked and he might get in trouble someday we all know what SARS stands for these days there might be retaliation from victims and the driver who rented it out might not be the one behind the wheel.

So in as much as we want to make money let us all not be so desperate at it, the car in question has been abused you would think it's a Danfo, the car has been mishandled it was later my friend found out the car was been used by SARs officials.
That is why we tell everybody to sign an agreement.
In our Agreement template, it is explicitly stated you cannot sublet the car unless otherwise agreed.
Partners must bring up these discussions upon entering into an agreement with renter/hirer.
-You cant take it out of the state unless with permission.
-You can't smoke, drink or have sex in the vehicle
-You can't sublet the vehicle.
-You cannot use the vehicle for other purposes than it was agreed. Which means you can't use it for along rides, using it as a hauler carrying heavy items etc.

So that when such happens you can pull out your agreement and deal with the matter appropriately.

Don't play with your investments, don't wait till there is a dispute before you sign an agreement. By then it is usually too late.

PING!!! grin

Hello everyone! Please I need some information (urgently) from active uber/taxify drivers (uber in particular). what is the vehicle inspection process for uber like? I would like to have a comprehensive list of issues that can arise during the vehicle inspection process of uber/taxify (uber in particular). I look forward to your contributions, thank you smiley
Safety equipment such as c caution, fire extinguisher, Jack and spanner, extra tyre.
Then they will check your radio(not music player), ac, interior, lights, tyres.
Then exterior.
After that they drive the car for wheel balancing and alignment, brakes etc.
If everything works they will give you a pass, if something is bad they should be able to fix it for you.
You might want to get all this before you go there because of they do it for you, it's going to be more expensive.
They'll also check your car papers.
Up to 24 hours after inspection, they will send your inspection report to your email.
You should take that inspection report to www.partners.uber.com and upload it there.

You also need to upload your insurance cover.
Uber's insurance is not very adequate for its purpose, for instance, you aren't covered even if you are online but have not got a request. If anything happens during this period, you could fall through what is known as the ride share gap, where you are not actually covered by Uber's insurance.

Taxi App Guy has entered into a partnership with AXA Mansard that allows us to give you the best deal on ride share compliant insurance. You don't have to worry anymore whether your insurance covers all your ride share activities. Because it now does.

Its the best deal in town, hands down. We offer you cash back on your AXA Mansard insurance.

Here is how it works;
- Contact AXA Mansard and ask for their price quotes.

- Contact Taxi App Guy and compare price quotes just to be sure you are getting a better deal.

-If you are satisfied Taxi App Guy is giving you a better deal, and you would like to go ahead, an AXA Mansard representative will be in touch with you, usually within minutes. Taxi App Guy does not collect any payment or handle any money from you. We only facilitate you getting better insurance for cheaper.

After your comprehensive insurance has been installed, you can contact Taxi App Guy for your cash back, and we will process it and send your cash back payment, usually within a week.

It's all very straightforward and Taxi App Guy never handles your cash. After indicating you want to enter our cash back program, we immediately hand you over to an AXA Mansard staff, so you deal directly with AXA Mansard at all times.
What we do is take advantage of our relationship with AXA to help you procure the best deal possible for your ride share vehicle.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OAKSFIVEFARMS:
Ways to make extra money with your Uber Car

Hello all, today we will explore the extra ways to earn an income if you have a vehicle or drive on Uber.
Transportation in Nigeria is a multi-billion naira industry, taxis and car-hire services make up a huge sector of this industry. Within this sector, millions of Naira exchanges hands on a daily basis.

Take a look around you, not only are there taxis everywhere, there are passengers to pick them up as well! And the truth is, transportation is an open sector, there is lots of space in this sector for people who are willing to participate.
Enter Uber, a revolutionary taxi app that aims to change the way the world hails cabs. When you have have a car on Uber, that car becomes a lot of things, it becomes an office, it becomes a billboard where you can market your products or/and services and it becomes an asset, instead of a liability.
This article explores how you can make extra profit from the effort you are already putting in, since your car is already picking up passengers and driving around the city; why not monetise this opportunity even further.
All the methods stated here applies for both partners and drivers.
Direct Sales and Marketing
When you pick up a rider, you can use that opportunity to market any other businesses that you have, a partner on Uber can place flyers in the car pointing to another business he or she owns. I recently came across an Uber driver who had a beautiful mini shop in his car, his wares were displayed in a neat and appealing manner. Needless to say, I was quite impressed. You can also do that, do you run or own a restaurant or a barber shop, why not print flyers to advertise your joint? As many as 800 passengers can enter your Uber car in a month, if done right you can convert a good number of these people to your customers.
Car-hire services
You can turn your Uber Car into a car hire service thereby by-passing Uber's 25%, after every trip, make sure to tell the passenger that you also perform car hire services, either on a hourly or daily basis. You can sweeten the deal by offering free Internet, free candy and biscuits, free bottled water, free drinks, free recharge cards etc. The partner should decide how much worth of freebies they can give away and still make a profit. As a result, the passenger gets pampered and spoilt silly at the same amount he/she would pay if he was doing an online Uber trip which ordinarilly wouldnt carry all these freebies.
A partner can afford to do this because the 25% that Uber would otherwise collect on an online trip is now going into the partners pocket, as a result there is more cash to free up in order to entice the passenger to take offline trips with you.
Delivery business
You can also start a delivery business with your car, since you are already in motion across the city, why not approach people who need items delivered, people like restaurants, supermarkets, tailors etc. You can tell your customers you run a delivery business, if they want to buy lunch or they need to pick up their clothes from the drycleaners, they can call you.
There are so many more things to do on Uber that can earn you extra income, you can reply this post to let me know your ideas.
Cheers and Take care.

Can taxify sign me on without physical inspection of my vehicle? Please i need answers from the house.
Usually overnight, maximum of 2 days. You need to factor in the weekend.
Log in to your partner profile at www.partners.uber.com and check under documents, if it shows 'in review' in red by noon tuesday then go to the office. Its usually fast so there is never any need to fast track.
You have to take thecar to taxify office.

Goodmorning and happy Sunday.

Always make sure you start your day in a positive note. Take atleast 5minutes out of your time to thank your Creator.
Once you wake up, don't just jump out of the bed, straight to the bathroom and after that head straight to you car, nahhhhh you are starting your day on a wrong note.
First things first, pray, speak positivity into your day, speak light into your day and allow God to take control. if you are late, pray in your mind, you can pray while bathing, don't rule out the Grace of God, we all need His Grace in such a competitive and evil world we live in.

I remembered when I tried correcting a driver on this thread, some lashed out at me.
Let me give few tips...
1. Greeting your rider should be a must, if your rider replies or not shouldn't be your business.
If your rider replies, good...
2. Take little things into consideration. There are things you can't really control, such as nature. When your rider isn't comfortable, maybe he or she got cold, catarrh, sneezing/coughing, it's wise to show a bit of care, offer a wipe to use, ask if he or she needs water to drink, 50/100naira from your pocket won't kill you.
3. Don't start a conversation except your rider initiates it, if your rider initiates it, know how to maintain professionalism.

4. Use a mild body spray and airfreshner.

There are so many more...

Well, that's a pix of me for those who wanna have an idea how I look like...
Your wedding band finger should be trending now, it must be getting a lot of views.

He met one rude girl that didn't even return his greetings. Do you agree you can continue to get randomly matched with rude people on uber/taxify? Now imagine if that was what happened that day? We wouldn't hear about this beautiful story by the poster.

Besides, the calibre of people he got matched with are not regular riders on taxify cos obviously they would have one or two cars in their compound. Now imagine these people didn't use uber on the days Mr Horizon worked on uber, or if they did and got matched with another driver?

My point is meeting these extraordinary clients is mostly by luck. There is no denying Mr Horizon did his best to prepare himself and made himself and his ride attractive to these people calibre of people. But meeting or getting matched with them at all is completely out of his hands. He doesn't chose who he gets matched with. Which makes this beautiful story down to luck. Abi na every day you dey hear this kind gist?
Luck is not a bad thing or something to not be proud of. I want more luck in my life abeg.
Luck is when you get a client that dashes you 5k extra after the trip. Luck is when you get a rider that wants to buy you food.
To get a 45k per day offline is definitely not luck.

Riders are drawn from the same pool for everybody, everybody will get his share of bad/good riders. How you convert them beyond a one trip ride is definitely not luck, it is effort. Even if it doesn't seem so.

I tell you, you can have a 2018 Benz on Uber and still not be lucky with a worthwhile rider that wants to meet with you outside Uber (and I am not talking slay queens or whatever they are called now) if you are a totally nasty or uncultured person or have absolutely monstrous bad breath.

Everything has to be just right, so that when your luck wants to shine, it doesn't get overpowered by bad english, or a terrible lack of manners.

Dovehorizon had to work on himself to get a rider who is willing to overlook the "I met him driving Uber" stigma and actually book a date with him. If poster did not look or speak like someone you can hang out with, imagine if he looks distinctly untrustworthy, it doesn't matter how much luck he had, he wouldn't snag a (better) date off the platform.

I am dating a rider who is much older than i am (and is a golden catch, I'm a first class catch myself, or at least so I like to think) for almost 2 years now, and still counting so I know first-hand.

Uber provides an avenue that not many other places provide, you drive people around in very close, comfortable quarters.
Not even a candle lit restaurant can offer the kind of cozy atmosphere Uber gives. Plus the lady has a valid excuse to see you again via offline, so she doesn't have to seem 'thirsty' when she calls you to come pick her. If you turn out to be a bum, well, it was just a trip. But if you turn out to be dovehorizon, maybe it was really a first date.

However as Uber is not a dating site, you will do well to be ferrying your passengers instead of looking for dates, if you meet a kindred spirit and you connect, fine. Otherwise you might misstep, "toast" the wrong woman and get kicked off the platform. And your wife is going to ask you "why".

And I'm not shading you my brother, all the 'you' is just a general way of speaking.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OAKSFIVEFARMS:
So a friend of mine was giving me the full gist of a guy that drove for me last year, absolutely crooked guy.
But funny he was always straight with me.
After driving for me about 6 weeks, he wanted to start some funny doings, i very quickly collected the car back.

So the story goes, the partner he got after me was a really nice lady. So she allowed him free reign mainly because she didnt really know about cars.
So this guy drives her car for a week, disappears and stops picking phone calls for 2 weeks!
Eventually, the lady had to track him. She had to go far and wide before she got someone who knew the guy's house.
Eventually, she locates him, but he is not with the car. So where is the car Mr. man. He started telling stories about mechanic and phone network and how his relative was ill. But the woman had had enough.
Long story short, he agrees to take her where the car is.
And guess where it was. A Nairabet shop! With the battery removed.
Betslips all over the car.
She chastised him, preached to him blah blah, that one went.
Apparently, the reason he dropped the car at the nairabet shop was because he was owing, so he was desperate for money.
The very next day, he tells his girlfriend who he was living with at her house, that he was finally ready to marry her and that they should go to the village for introduction. The night before they were supposed to travel, he faked that somebody called him and he had to meet with the whoever the next day. But that she should proceed to the village and he would meet her the day after.
Believe that this guy emptied the house, sold everything and ran away?
