The way Rangnick has described the problems and the solutions he has proffered align with what some of us have been saying for a long time here.

1) The manager has to be more powerful than the players
2) The players should be bought mainly for footballing reasons that align with the manager’s philosophy
3) The management, support staff and squad have to be rebuilt from scratch.

P.S With regards to his coaching , 15 yrs of decent/good coaching can’t be trumped by his 4 months here when we know this set of players are notorious for packing it in.

If ten Hag is not given authority to hire and fire players and this set of players are left with the power that they have we won’t fare much better.
