Solskjær: "Many players have been and gone and now there is some youngsters coming in. We are one or two players light at the moment because of injuries but that's an opportunity for the kids to play and to see if I can get the best out of them." - Sky |
Solskjær: "I want to be a part of us going back to where we used to be, but of course the Premier League is now a different animal. Manchester City and Liverpool last season were fantastic and we are in the starting phase of a new team." - Sky |
Solskjær: "I think it's about time they [youngsters] had some exposure, and see if they are ready to play in the Premier League." - Sky |
Solskjær: "We must protect them [youngsters], find the right moment to put them in. Give them guidance behind closed doors. Social media and the media these days is so different. We will try to help and guide them as much as we can." - Sky |
Solskjær: "You learn quite a lot when playing the youngsters. You want them to go out and express themselves, to go out and perform so that have a platform to build on. I thought it paid off [against Astana]." - Sky |
Solskjær: "They're [youngsters] almost ready [to play in the Premier League]. That's why they're with us, why they're training with us and they have done well in training." - Sky |
![]() I weak for this Thread heh!

United should sack OGS for Poch! |
![]() Dem declare Curfew here?! Fear of Liverpool though.... Even Raum follow them dey ghost mode. |
afrodoc2:How old is Rashford sef?! He's still a young Chap, he's not peaked yet, so why the Fuss and reeling out of unjustifiable Stats to counter real Facts?! Rashford is suffering of same thing that happened to Januzaj. But we should understand he's 21yrs old, thus he can remodel himself to perhaps a deadly Winger. |
![]() Wetin Musa no go see for Gate...... Burster also bursted?! LMAO! |
![]() Chelsea Thread though..... From 69 to free Nipples?! LMAO! |
GloryIsaac:Yes..... Onto the next Match. I hope Martial and Pogba are fit for the Match. |
GloryIsaac:OGS facial Expressions during Matches said it all. He knows all is not good. He clearly knows the Team needs to be fixed. He's a bit relieved during the Astana Game, coz he was happy Greenwood scores. Is he gonna get it right? Hopefully with more Signings in the Summer, coz it's apparent Board won't sanctioned any Deal in January again. The last time they did, it turns out to be an ever regrettable decision. United is in safe hand, and I won't be amazed if OGS starts making unexpected Decisions with Players selection. |
afrodoc2:You are right Doc, but as a Dude already mentioned - Dalot will definitely do a good Job as a Wingback. Shaw?! Maybe, but it won't be bad to experiment Lingard again as a Wingback.... Lol! |
![]() Eph has said it all, you can't ever pleased United Fans. The Reason is clear, we are used to winning Titles and dominating Games until SAF left. However, we do forget that we've tried out LvG and Mou in the process of rebuilding to no avail. EPL Matches are becoming unpredictable. Teams are getting stronger Season by Season. Who would have predicted a new Comer to beat the defending Champion?! Who could have predicted Chelsea to massacre Wolves at their Home?! So far, we are well placed on the Table, thus what matter most is winning and keeping the Momentum. I stand with Peeps backing 4 - 3 - 3 Formation chaired by Afrodoc2. I really believe it's better way to balance the Team style of play. Pogba, McSauce and Fred are needed in the Midfield, with Andreas and Matic on the Bench as Backups. Though left to me - I would have suggested 3 - 5 - 2 Formation with the below Lineup; ________________ De Gea _______________ Tuanzebe______ Maguire _______ Lindelof AWB __ Fred __ McTom __ Pogba __ Shaw ________ Greenwood ___ Martial _________ Subs: Romero, Rojo, Perreira, Gomez, James, Matic, Rashford. |
Solskjær: “We've had two clean sheets now, and that will give the defenders confidence. If we can keep a clean sheet [vs West Ham], it will be easier for the strikers. You don't have to score twos, threes and fours every time.” |
Solskjær: “Why should we coaches be concerned? We're looking forward to things, looking for solutions. I've never been concerned about anything really.” |
Solskjær: “I think today's forwards are different from old traditional No 9s. There's not many left of them. Marcus can play all four positions – right, left, up front on his own and as a No 10. Anthony can, Mason can.” |
Solskjær: “We're working every single day in training with Marcus. He wants to improve, wants to be better. He could have finished with his left instead of his right on Thursday. It's just one of those days. I thought their keeper [Astana] was excellent.” |
Solskjær: “He's getting the chances. Of course, he could have had three [against Astana]. The keeper made a few fantastic saves. I don't worry about that, no.” |
Solskjær on Rashford: “He is still young, he'll improve. You won't hit your peak as a striker until you're 26 or 27. He's still learning what finishes to make in different circumstances.” |
Solskjær: “If he [Greenwood] keeps scoring goals when he's on the pitch he'll get more minutes in the Premier League as well and he'll get his first start soon.” |
A Quick Reminder; Martial is the designated No. 9 for United this Season. He's the chosen One to the lead the Attack not Rashford. The latter was leading in the absence of Martial, and so convinced I am that Greenwood will be the 2nd Choice soonest. |
Tuanzebe: “It’s [starting give academy players] amazing, it’s what the club’s about. It’s our identity — the manager has faith in his young talent which is important in the training ground saying ‘if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.” |
Tuanzebe on Greenwood: “We see him doing it [scoring] day in, day out so we have confident in him, the manager has confidence in him. It’s good for him to portray his talent and good for him to help the team win." |
Solskjær: "For sure it’s natural for him to play football, it’s natural for him to score goals, in and around the box he knows how to hit the ball. Maybe he hit it too hard in the first half — but he shows glimpses of what he can become." |
Solskjær: “If you get him [Greenwood] inside the box you know something’s going to happen. Inside or outside and it was a great finish through the keeper’s legs." |
Solskjær: “Greenwood renewal? We’re always in talks with the boys about how we see the future and Mason’s one we want to keep with us." |
Michael Owen: "His [Greenwood] goal record at youth level is phenomenal. In my mind he's gonna be a proper Manchester United player for a long, long time." - BT |
Owen Hargreaves on Greenwood: "Stay fit, stay healthy, and the sky is the absolute limit for him. He can be anything he wants, top scorer in the Premier League one day. I'm excited to see he's able to decide a Europa League game at 17." - BT |
