mikeapollo: Iran should watch how it attacks fellow Arab nations so it does not lose their support and sympathy because that would be a big mistake. We hope the possible rise in fuel price would not cascade down to affect our pump price in Nigeria too? Fellow Arabs, how? Iranians are not Arabs. |

mikeapollo: Would you people stop these nauseating lies? Who is ''occupying'' where? Does Jerusalem, Hebron, Beersheba, Shiloh, Bethlehem etc. belong to Arabs? Do you know the history of the place you claim to be under ''military occupation''? Would you say the people of Plateau and Benue who have now fled their ancestral land and gone into exile because of attacks and killings by bandits and terrorists should forget about their ancestral land forever and they no longer have the right to return to where their ancestors had lived for more than 3,000 years before the crises started? When these victims recover in the future, build a strong army and they come back to reclaim their ancestral land, then you start shouting ''military occupation'' What kind of thinking is this? Once again another dumb take. So, people who are indigenous to a land, whose fathers, grandfathers and great, great grandfathers have lived in a place deserve to be kicked out because some people claimed 3000 years ago they had an ancestry linked to the land and their evidence was a religious text. You think if we excavate your village in Nigeria back to 3000 years it is possible like you that lived there? Imagine people knocking your doors and takign over your homes with support of powerful countries. |

nosa2: The people of Gaza voted for Hamas, knowing fully well that Hamas planned to attack Israel. They are not innocent.
Votes have consequences. Your victim-blaming is very stupid and insensitive. When did this election you talked about take place? Over 18 years ago. Is that what you areusing to judge their annihilation that took place recently? If you are subjected to the humiliation of military occupation and the indignity of being kept in an open-air prison with the IDF on one side and armed HAMAS on the left, what would your choices be? |

Was N1,200:$ what he promised Nigerians when he was campaigning to become president? Or was N1,200:$ what he inherited?. Glorification of failure and mediocrity This is a ridiculous claim. We all knew the value of the Nairato USD under Buhari was not real. We were spending billions and even borrowing to sustain this artificial Naira exchange rate. Worse still, we operated an obnoxious dual exchange rate system with a wide gulf between official and black market rates that left room for arbitrage and made Emefiele a king that dispensed hard currency based on affiliations. Now all that ahs ended. yes, we are still occassionally spending to maintain stability as it is a managed float, but the bulk of the value is now sustained by market forces. May we not return to the days of Airlines boycotting Nigeria because they couldnt repartriate their eranings. |

yMcy56: Pluto, you don't have to keep replying, they won't agree with you no matter what.
The thing is that, ZICHIS didn't allow them chop with am, so they won't stop blaming them. Just see story changed once they're able to buy after suspension is lifted.
I wonder why no one is blaming NGX for dereliction/negligence of duty here... Why did it take NGX this long before they noticed the infractions? Even common investors were noticing this but regulators were blinded to it because there pocket is getting fat with it. I would say, NGX couldn't also partake in ZICHIS goodies, hence the need to look for an excuse to nail them......so they found one. Shikenah! Na wa o! We are not really different form the politicians we are blaming. The people defending Zichis are hilarious. Their infraction was starring us in the face. Just because you were abke to grab some units or you know the people manipulating the stock price you ahve turbed to their defender and accussing thoseapplauding the NGX for doing the right thing as sore losers. |

Very sad that the managers of this company have been unable to turn assets to profitability. I sold off some weeks back. A company with potentials marred by managerial incompetence- sad. handsomebolanle: Caverton became irresponsible to safety at some point. I personally complained about their chopper service and poor maintenance with their helicopter fleet. I dumped them when they almost killed a colleague and that incident lost them the contract.
Except things have changed- I have no idea. |

emmaodet: Honestly, i am not really impressed with the result. 70% of the profit before tax comes from ''other income'' and ''share of profit from associate'' They have a worrying receivables of 2.56 trillion, borrowing ballooned to 1.7 trillion from just 40 billion previous year, decommissioning liabilities of 3.35t, payables increased from 120b to 2.9 trillion. In the share holders equity, non-controlling interest is now above 50%. Ever since they came to Ngx, i think they have learnt the act of playing with the books unlike them. Lol. How do you folks interprete financial results? You call this not good? Really? The balance sheet has moved from a mid-cap profile to a mega-cap powerhouse. Total Assets: Surged by 495% to ₦10.42 trillion (FY 2024: ₦1.75 trillion). Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE): Jumped to ₦5.01 trillion from ₦676.6 billion, reflecting the acquisition of productive oil and gas assets. Decommissioning Liabilities: Increased significantly to ₦1.46 trillion, a long-term obligation associated with the newly acquired fields. Total Equity: More than doubled to ₦3.48 trillion, primarily due to the addition of non-controlling interests from the new subsidiaries. |

I think this is true of most companies on the NGX, including the BUAs of this world. I once read a Nairametrics article on this. It's one of the reasons foreign investors are wary of the NGX. |
