But the issue here isn't about banks nor the new notes, it's fuel scarcity.

And like GloriousGbola said, diversion of fuel begins and ends with NNPC and Buhari is the minister of petroleum. I'm just confused how you tried to lump us all into this unnecessary hardship which isn't caused by the average Nigerian bearing the brunt of it today.
"We" ain't about just average Nigerians only. Those private citizens milking us dry, causing the hardship are Nigerians too.

They’re not lying. They’ll lose because most of them are buying from major marketers. Not directly from nnpc. I’ve paid to nnpc since last year august and I’m yet to carry fuel. So how do you get your station running when you’ll have to wait for that long before buying directly from nnpc.
In a nutshell, NNPC is the problem here. They keep saying they have billion litres of fuel, then why are they not disbursing it to all Dealers?

One fact i love about the regime is that no matter the lies the people swallow and believe, reality will always be waiting at the end of the day.

So IPMAN that is telling you that they will lose if they sell 189 is lying? To you, it is because they cannot divert fuel?

In the past one year that there was no scarcities, which diverted fuel were they surviving on, bros?

Bro..... I am not arguing to defend Government here, if you believe IPMAN is right based on Information you had, cool.

This is not an argument to defend Government, rather to set records straight.

We can't change when the system doesn't checkmate us.

We are human and by default exposed to selfishness (fraud).......

We need a system to discipline our hunger and there comes d gov .....
....... so every Nigerian is a potential criminal, thus we need system to keep us in check?

But how we take dey guilty for this matter of fuel scarcity now?
.... is it not same Country Banks are hoarding new Notes and selling to POS Operators? What's the difference between those diverting Oil to neighbouring Countries and those diverting new notes to POS Operators?

Ain't they Nigerians too?

Even when there was no scarcity, diversions of products were occurring. We even saw a video of a Custom officer denying some trucks passage to Cameroun. This was when there was no scarcity.

So blaming today's scarcity on diversion is just a lie that anybody will tell you, hoping it becomes true.

If a truck departs with PMS from Lagos, it will not get to Niger Republic till Sunday (assuming all goes well). Add the same number of days for it to return, and tell me how this can cause scarcity.

The price to get fuel at the depot, and selling at 189 is not realistic. You have just heard IPMAN telling it's marketers to stop purchasing. And the reason is clearly written there.

Bro.... check my response to Sege again, I didn't blame current scarcity on diversion. Rather, I ain't giving a fùck on IPMAN Strike cos I know its because they are unable to divert oil to neighbouring Countries again and also being monitored by DSS to selling at fixed rate.

you can't blame the people when the system is fukd.

A closed border isn't supposed to be opened to some commodities and when it does....heads is supposed to roll..

So I am putting it to you that it involves powers from d system (gov)...if at all there is a diversion
Bro.... we can't keep blaming system everytime. For how long? Is it impossible for every Nigerian to avoid illegalities?

Government is corrupt, so are the Citizens. We can blame system, Government all we want, but if we do not change as Citizens, we will keep electing our replicas as Government Representatives.

I don't know where you people get all these stories, but i hope it sticks sha

GloriousGbola stays in Festac. Ask him how long the queues are just to access the depots in Satellite Town.

Truck cannot even access the depots, and you are talking about selling to Niger. Do you know how many days it will take a truck to drive to Niger?

I have said it here before that the price at the depot cannot make any marketer to sell at 189. How the major marketers do it is what I don't know, and I hope to find out soon.

All these ones are just lies to console those that trust and believe in them.
Bro.... are you saying no one is diverting Oil to neighbouring Countries?

It will shock you that the same gov you are exonerating are the same people dishing out instructions on d passage of the refined oil..

Who do you think is responsible for the opening/closing of borders and when it becomes open for some commodities who is to blamehuh
I am not exonerating Government bro, not at all. My point is; we are all as guilty as People in Government.

How do you blame d system and exempt the gov imposing it...huh
Who are the People in Government? Who are the Thieves diverting subsidized Oil to neighbouring Countries? Who are the Law Enforcers manning our Boarders and so on?

Are they not Nigerians as you and I?!

Who do we blame on the diversion.??
Nigeria borders are porous. Customs Officers manning Borders are extremely corrupt. This is not about blaming Government but us too.

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.

Wetin dey occur ??
Nothing dey occur, they are the ones diverting Tankers to neighbouring Countries to sell our subsidized Oil.

NNPC is strictly monitoring them nowadays, thus its affecting their illegal practices seriously. They also inflating their pump price as against fixed price by FG to cover their illegal loses from failed Oil diversions.

Are they even selling at all? So far only major Marketers are selling while they are diverting to Benin, Togo, Niger and co.

Totally wrong - like someone making a movie of George Floyds without the family consent/ compensation.
God forbid if that's my family, na yankee I go sue Netflix - forget all that shalaye thats it is fiction, no its not purely fiction its a fictional adaptation of a real live event.
Too many things wrong with that country 😥

In the West or at least in Yankee I think you have to get the family's permission, especially if the movie is commercial.

As it is this is Linda ikeji doing the same thing her blog does, profiting off the misery of others

She pulled a similar stunt some years back when she put out a story about Femi kutis kids not being his ie the wife cheated. Femi Kuti called her out for the trauma she was inflicting, not just on him, who was fully aware of the issue, but the children. Imagine 10, 12 or 15 year old you going to school and everyone is looking at you strangely and then the taunts begin. And the taunts and strange looks and bullying are everywhere. The kind of thing that makes oyibo kids commit suicide. All because linda ikeji must have her clicks.
Tough...... the Movie's quality is fúckin low sef. Watching it already.

The details of the story were throughly trashed out on Nairaland. The story is not hidden in any way. Retelling the story is not going to bring any justice or succor to anyone. The movie till is ultimately about the birth of the civil rights movement.

This is just a story that will remind you that this is a fked up nation.

And it is because it is Nigeria she could make that movie. Obodo oyibo the family would have shut it down
Do you think its wrong morally and legally for her [Linda] to retell the Story?

lol, it's usual out cry when something is springing it's head for success.. there must be always a drawback..

There has been series of videos referencing that particular event.. both on YouTube and on movies

They didn't get recognition and outcry because they were subpar

But because it's Linda and Netflix.. people tends to chook mouth..

Linda has said it's a product of a fiction.. the characters and real live events weren't used..

So it's his story, his fiction and his movie and he did that as a tribute and rememeberance of innocent people that died through jundle justice and also that of aluu community
.... well, its not really bad though, at least it'll remind us jungle justice is never an answer to try an accused person(s).

Sad to learn those culprits are still walking in their various prisons after been sentenced to death
