raumdeuter: The lawmakers in the state who were largely loyal to Ladoja didnt show up in the HoA, but that didnt stop NURTW boss Elewe Omo from impeaching the governor and the impeachment was ratified by the FG
......dem say na bad legacies of OBJ I dey drop here like it ain't part of our history already. LOL!
Gen Z seems plenty here now, and those who ain't Gen Z don forget how OBJ removed no fewer than five governors, either through a State of Emergency or impeachment.
Yet today, the same OBJ is hailed as their hero and regarded as the best President Nigeria has ever had. LOL!
You want to confirm before you announce it as bad or good news?
.......ain't sure buddy has even the slightest idea of what's happening in the North right now. He's just arguing baselessly, but at least it's entertaining.
Niger State will soon be feeding the nation with its aggressive investment in farming, backed by massive support from the Federal Government.
Perhaps he's not even aware of the deployment of 10,000 Agro-Rangers across all 19 Northern States solely to protect farmers.
The Sad News part Is; Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has secured $86.7 million IFAD fund to developing robust agricultural value chains in Northern Nigeria. LOL!
TradingGod: so a building is worth more than a human life?
.......once again, the State Assembly Complex is more than just a building; it is also a seat of power. Without an appropriated budget, a Governor has no right to spend a dime from the state purse.
It is a symbol of governance, and demolishing it without justification could ordinarily lead to anarchy.
izzou: And if 300 people are slaughtered in one day, it is not a matter of concern, in comparison to a State Assembly complex that was demolished, with no life lost.
Think about what you are answering oh, in relation with your conscience, and not because you want to win an argument
.......You guys are just lumping things together, and it’s really irritating. Do I need to show you, for instance, what Zulum is doing to support our troops in Borno?! Just a few days ago, he donated more than 100 vehicles to support their operations.
Why would a Governor like that be suspended when he is clearly doing his best to curb insecurity?!
The difference is that they are not aiding criminality, rather they are fighting it. LOL!
izzou: So to you, the demolition of a cement block is more worthy to be considered a National crisis than 300 human beings slaughtered to death?
You see as politics dey transform you?
Take am easy oh. Allah go judge all of us for which side we dey stand on.
.....the State Assembly Complex is more than just a collection of bricks and cement; it is a symbol of governance.
It is a sacred building that a Governor should prioritize protecting rather than demolishing bruh.
liveLongNprospa: Brother. Let us not waste each other's time. Put your money were your mouth is. You think I'm lying, you or anybody of your choice gets paid. Same applies for me.
liveLongNprospa: So stopping farming in the north did not cause our agricultural economy to cripple? Why then is the nation incapable of feeding itself? Abi that one nor affect economy?
And most importantly the loss of lives is not as important as crude oil abi? 😁
.......where in the North they ain't farming pls?!
Theflint1: Rivers' crisis is more political than actual insecurity, so why have states that have terrorists kidnapping its citizens not had SOE declared, but Rivers has SOE declared?
Are the citizens of Rivers more terrorized than those up North, or in the South East where there's sit-at-home every Monday?
.....LOL!
Spending without Appropriation alone is an Impeachable offence. Demolition of the State Assembly for no reason is enough to declare state of emergency.
We fuckin have 3 arms of Government at all levels for God's sake!
Theflint1: What makes Rivers more of an emergency area than the terrorist and herdsmen ravaged states up North, or the South East where there's sit-at-home every Monday?
......bombing of pipes. Demolition of State Assembly. Spending without appropriation ain't crises right?! LOL!
In February 2018, the Nigerian Senate passed the Emergency Powers (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill 2018.
The Act says, “The President may, with the approval of the National Assembly, suspend a State Governor or the Local Government Chairman in an emergency area during an emergency period.”
GloriousGbola: And ironically enough Lawal was a performer as a governor. Just that he had a penchant for celebrating himself spraying up Lawal all over Kwara state projects
.... First August Coy too chop sha. Every Construction na dem. LOL!
......In 2004, President Olusegun Obasanjo suspended Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State after declaring a state of emergency due to violent ethno-religious clashes in Yelwa.
Obasanjo used Section 305 of 1999 Constitution to remove Dariye from office, dissolved the Plateau State House of Assembly and dismissed Local Government Councils; citing a total breakdown of law and order.
He appointed retired General Chris Alli as the Sole Administrator to govern the State.
