Ellexy: Very soon now, you'll swear that you're not a troll. A screenshot showing what a concerned president is doing to alleviate the suffering of the people amidst high cost of living and your default response was to immediately mock and make jest if it.
If Tinubu is even doing something in that regard, won't it be a good thing? But no, anything that talks about easing the burden on Nigerians, you immediately start trolling and mocking. .....maybe trolling has another meaning though. LOL!
Any update from Argentina?! Or we shouldn't talk about it any longer. |

Amoto94: Economic reforms usually come at a cost sometimes too unbearable to the common man. People like mentioning the developed countries and their economic model to be followed but behind every success/rosy picture there's a dark side that's most often left unsaid; China has to mass starved their population to death due to failed agricultural policies that helped reduced their population, at a time England had to enact Poor Laws and Speenhamland Laws to help cater for the paupers due to highrate of unemployment and underemployment I can go on and on about the economic reforms and attendant consequences. This was why I was against subsidy removal because of the unintended consequences that may likely to follow, I think Ibime and Nihilist were the people who held the same view and time has proven all of us right. .....spot on but the last line is still much necessary though. Subsidy just must go! |

STATE HOUSE PRESS STATEMENT
PRESIDENT TINUBU COMMENDS TOLARAM GROUP FOR REPOSING CONFIDENCE IN NIGERIA'S ECONOMY
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Indonesian business conglomerate, the Tolaram Group, for believing in Nigeria and having absolute faith in her economy.
Tolaram, which partnered Nigeria to build the Lekki Free Trade Zone and the country’s first deep sea port, has acquired Diageo’s 58.02 per cent shareholding in Guinness Nigeria Plc.
According to an announcement at the Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday, Tolaram will also enter into long-term license and royalty agreements for the continued production of the Guinness products and its locally manufactured Diageo ready-to-drink and mainstream brands.
President Tinubu said Tolaram, by acquiring Diageo’s shares in Guinness, had shown that it has a long-term view of doing business in Nigeria.
Tolaram has been doing business in Nigeria in the last 50 years.
In choosing to expand its investment footprints in Nigeria, Tolaram has demonstrated strong faith and confidence in Nigeria's economy.
President Tinubu welcomes Tolaram to the beverage sector of Nigeria’s business landscape and hopes the group’s business will continue to flourish.
President Tinubu gives assurances to investors and Nigeria’s businesses, promising that his government will continue to make the operating environment more conducive and transparent.
He said that the multi-pronged reforms and interventions being implemented on the economic and financial fronts would deliver sustained growth and enduring profitability for investors.

Itsrm: Again, follow who know road .....if it didn't dey, it didn't dey. LOL! This is Rivers State High Court Verdict not even Federal High Court.
BREAKING: Rivers State High Court affirms Wike's ally, Martin Amaewhule, 26 other Rivers Assembly Members that defected to APC as PDP members
Delivering judgement in Port Harcourt earlier on Monday, Justice Okogbule Gbasam of the Rivers State High Court, held that the claimants failed to prove that Amaewhule and 26 other lawmakers, had defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Justice Gbasam further held that membership of a party is only proven by being listed on the party’s register, or by membership card, adding that television ceremonies and or verbal statements, were not enough to show the same.
Interestingly, the PDP had filed a motion to be joined in the case, and was added as the fourth defendant.
Justice Gbasam further held that the Rivers state government is bound to obey all laws passed by the Assembly, as they are still members of the PDP hence, their names are still in the PDP’s membership register as provided by the party.
He further posited that the state government is bound by the laws made by the Assembly, as they are still members of the PDP, and as such, haven’t lost their seats. |
