Abdul4trust1:1. Ramadan is starting whenever the moon has been sighted there is no precise date. 2.Today is 28th of Shabban 3.There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet....not he his only prophet. |
Akkord4gov:Jazakalah kairan |
Ramadan is the name of the ninth month of the islamic month calendar, it is very important because it is the ninth month in which the glorious Quran was first sent down by Allah for the prophet Muhammad(S.A.W). During Ramadan, muslim must fast, we don't eat or drink between dawn and sunset and we should be very careful to speak and behave in the right way, we learn many things from fasting during Ramadan. It is a time to increase our Remembrance of Allah and remember the blessings which we have been given, we learn how to be thankful for the good things that we normally take for granted. After fasting all day, we realize just how wonderful food and drink tastes,so we thank Allah more sincerely for providing us with enough to eat and satisfy our thirst. Ramadan is a good form of training, there may come months or times when things are not easy, we have to carry on even though it's difficult, but by fasting, we learn to be patient at such times and to control ourselves and bodies...this is called self discipline. During this Holy month, the prophet (S.A.W) said, the doors of heaven are opened and the doors of hell closed and devils are chained. This helps us to see ourselves as we really are, not under the influence of unseen evil forces, we can learn to improve ourselves more especially by reading the Holy Qur'an and going to mosque joining in the tarawih prayers. In Ramadan, there is a special night in which is better than one thousand nights...it is called laylatul Qadar; the night in which the Qur'an was first revealed, the night in which all our sins can be forgiven. Fasting is also important because it makes the rich equal to the poor,it givens them a chance to realize what life is like for the less fortunate; those who have little or no food, this helps them to become more charitable and give generously their wealth to the needy,so that they too can enjoy and share the blessings of Allah which are enough for all. • Zayd ibn Khalid(R.A) reported that the messenger of Allah(S.A.W) said"if anyone gives to a person who is fasting something with which to break his fast, then for him is an equivalent reward of the fasting person"...(Tirmidhi,hadith 807) Dua at the beginning of the fast • Wa bisawmi ghadin nawaitu min shari Ramadan Translation:- I intend to keep this fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan. Dua while breaking the fast • Allahaumma laka sumutu wa ala rizqika aftartu fa taqabalminna innaka antas samiul aleem...Bismillah Translation:- Oh Allah, I fasted for you and I break my fast with your sustenance and accept this service from us for thou art the All hearing, the All knowing...in the name of Allah. • My dear brothers and sisters in islam, if 11 months were stains, let Ramadan be cleaner. Let us abstain from all bad deeds and move closer to Allah for he will bestow his mercy upon us all. •AbdulAzeez wish you all Ramadan Kareem in advance!!!!

Men have the gift of spotting baggage- carriers from afar off, as well as the skill to avoid them. Well, most men… If you’re one of the helpless souls who do not, here are the 8 types of women that no young Nigeria man should date at all 1. The Barbie. The only thing Barbie has, is her pretty face. Finish. She’s the type of woman that doesn’t know much about anything. Hell, she doesn’t care much about anything! As long as her pretty face is intact, the world can burn for all she cares. 2. The Drama Queen. Avoid this person like a plague, even as a friend. She has no qualms about creating a scene over a perceived sin. She would bawl her eyes out loudly in public if she feels you don’t love her; or love her enough. She cries, she’s passionate and yes, she looooves the attention. 3. The Possessive/ Obsessive Clinger. Similar to Miss DQ above, but she doesn’t have the need to cause drama; she has a need for YOU. At all times. She calls thrice an hour. Her first question always is ‘Where are you?’ If you don’t pick up because you’re getting chewed up by your boss, expect the multi-page accusatory text messages to start flooding in. She gets upset when you have the barest interaction with another woman. She wants to be the only presence in your life. Before she goes the way of Cameron Diaz’s character in ‘Vanilla Sky’, quickly give her the boot. 4. The Wife. She is not interested in dating. She doesn’t want a boyfriend: she wants a husband. She wants to marry. Now! One date and she’s ready to meet your parents. Two weeks on and she has chosen the names of the children you will have together. Nobody said women were logical creatures but then, life – as well as love – is in stages. I’m not sure I like you yet and you’re already choosing aso ebi… slow down madam. 5. The Party Animal. There’s nothing wrong with letting your hair down and having fun occasionally. When it now becomes a way of life, nne, we have a problem. Sometimes one needs to chill and enjoy the other person’s company. Not this lady. She knows all the happening places in Lagos. And Abuja. And London. Her friends are going. And she must be there too. The party animal will be bored with you in no time. 6. The Cheat. Seriously, do I need to explain this? There is no way in the world to have a meaningful relationship with someone who’s cheating on her boyfriend with you. Even if she gets out of that relationship and starts a new one with you, you know that she has no qualms about infidelity. She’s going to cheat on you too. Period. 7. Nairabody. “I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger, but she aint messing with no broke n…” This is the type of woman who craves the finer things in life and expects a man to provide them. She’s with you only for the money. She might actually ‘like’ you, but if you can’t buy her things and generally assume responsibility as her personal cash dispenser, forget it; you can’t get five minutes of her time. She’s a pro at using sex as a tool: you get it when you pay. The moment she finds a more affluent man (that is if she doesn’t have a bunch of you suckers around her pinky already), she’s going to kick your broke behind to the curb. Expecting a steady stable relationship from Nairabody is futile. There are better ways to waste time and money. 8. Your neighbour’s teenage daughter. Forget how she looks in a tank top. There’s a law against that type of thing.I know oga tosyne2much is guilty of this and my oga 7 point agenda(Danceviille) Cc wristbangle |
Ahead of the International Anticorruption Summit in the UK this week, a civil society group Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the UK authorities to “extradite Nigeria’s former petroleum minister Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke to face charges of corruption and money laundering, as the charges she is currently facing in UK court do not sufficiently capture the gravity of her alleged crimes, and the increasing allegations of corruption against her in Nigeria.” The request followed announcement this week by the Central Bank of Nigeria that it was carrying out special investigations into the roles played by banks in certain financial transactions, especially the N23bn reportedly shared to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission by officials of the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration to influence the outcome of the last general elections. In a statement today by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni the group said, “The anticorruption summit in London provides an important opportunity for the UK government to support the ongoing fight against corruption in Nigeria, and to send a powerful message that the UK will not provide sanctuary or condone impunity for corrupt public officials.” The statement reads in part: “As a state party to the UN Convention against Corruption, the UK government can use the convention as a basis for the extradition of Mrs Alison-Madueke back to Nigeria.” “We urge the Nigerian authorities to without delay submit a request to the UK authorities for the extradition of Mrs Alison-Madueke, explicitly making the point that Nigeria will guarantee her a due process-trial.” “If the UK refuses extradition request, Nigeria should consider submitting the matter for arbitration and if this cannot resolve the case, refer it to the International Court of Justice for adjudication. The Nigerian authorities should also consider filing a civil action against Mrs Alison-Madueke in the UK court.” “By sending Mrs Alison-Madueke back to her country, the UK will be sending a message that high-level official corruption will not go unpunished no matter where the suspected perpetrator hides and thus contribute to the fight against impunity for grand corruption. The UK indeed has an obligation to extradite Mrs Alison-Madueke through international cooperation and collaboration in good faith with Nigeria.” “We believe that effective prosecution in Nigeria is feasible, and this will bring justice closer to Nigerians who are direct victims of corruption. Extraditing Mrs Alison-Madueke back to Nigeria is equally important for allowing easier access to witnesses, evidence, victims of corruption; creating a deep connection between Nigerians and the impact of the trial; and empowering victims of corruption.” “SERAP believes that there is probable cause that Mrs Alison-Madueke participated in the extraditable acts involving some banks in Nigeria, whether directly or indirectly. The allegations of corruption against her are strong enough for Prime Minister David Cameron to facilitate an extradition proceeding.” “The UK shouldn’t be a country of refuge for corrupt officials if it is to avoid a miscarriage of justice in high-level corruption cases. But if Mrs Alison-Madueke is not extradited, the UK will have a responsibility to amend her charges to include the fresh allegations against her and to try her on the merits under the UK laws as if she had committed the crimes there.” “Mr Cameron risks missing an ‘open goal’ unless he shows that the UK is unreservedly committed to seeking justice for victims of corruption, and international cooperation in the fight against corruption by urgently facilitating the extradition of Mrs Alison-Madueke to Nigeria so that she can explain her role in the continuing disclosure of allegations of corruption and money laundering involving several Nigerian banks which allegedly took place during her time in office as petroleum minister.” “SERAP is also concerned that UK banks continue to accept millions of pounds from corrupt Nigerian politicians. Without the complicity of these banks, it would be much harder for corrupt politicians including from Nigeria to loot public funds or accept bribes.” “Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of the UN Convention against Corruption, Mr Cameron will need to do more to reform and crack down on his country’s financial institutions that continue to provide safe havens for corrupt funds from Nigeria with almost absolute impunity.” “It’s also important for Mr Cameron to work towards improving judicial cooperation between Nigeria and the UK if stolen assets stashed in the UK are to be fully repatriated and if he is not to send a message that corrupt suspects can get away with their crimes without consequences.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/corruption-allegation-extradite-diezani-serap-tells-uk-govt/

He Died 29years Ago Today (Saturday, March 6, 1909 – Saturday, May 9, 1987) . Today, the 9th of May 2016, is a remarkable day in Yoruba history as we celebrate the life and times of Chief Obafemi Awolowo Awolowo (A Nationalist, A Statesman and Former Premier of Western Nigeria). On this day, 29 years ago, Nigeria’s political landscape shook to its roots, when the unexpected happened. The earth-shaking occurrence was the transition to glory of Chief Obafemi Awolowo. With such a massive blow, Nigeria lost her most priced and valued possession, the man whom Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu called, “The Best President Nigeria Never Had”. Chief Obafemi Awolowo was born in Ikenne, Remo Division of Ogun State in Southwest Nigeria on March 6, 1909. He was actively involved in politics from 1947 – 1987 (40yrs). Obafemi Awolowo was born to Chief David Sopolu Awolowo and his wife Mary Efunyela Awolowo in Ikenne, Remo, (now Ogun State of Nigeria. Chief Obafemi Awolowo, leader of the banned Action Group and leader of the Yorubas of western Nigeria, was a son of a farmer and was a self-made man. He was the leader of the Yorubas of Western Nigeria. Chief Awolowo was educated at Anglican and Methodist schools in Ikenne, his home town, and at Baptist Boys’ High School in Abeokuta, Western Nigeria. His had hiccups with his education due to lack of money. As a result of this, Chief Awolowo worked as a pupil teacher at the age of 17 (in 1926) and then went to Wesley College in Ibadan, the then capital city of Western Nigeria, to attend a course in teacher training. Leaving Wesley College, he studied shorthand and typing, and after working for a while in Lagos, returned to Wesley College in 1932 as a clerk. Two years later, he became a trader and a newspaper reporter. He organized in the late ’30s the Nigerian Produce Traders Association and became secretary of the Nigerian Motor Transport Union. Awo was not satisfied with his level of education so he decided to take up part-time studies and, after matriculation in 1939, went on to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1944; in that year he was also editing the now defunct Nigerian Worker. In June 1940, he became secretary of the Ibadan branch of the Nigerian Youth Movement ( NYM )and, in this position , led the agitation for the reform of the Ibadan Native Authority Advisory Board in 1942. He was co-founder of the Trade Union Congress Of Nigeria in 1943. The following year, he went to London to study law and founded the Egbe Omo Oduduwa, a Yoruba tribal society. After qualifying in 1947, he returned to Nigeria to set up legal practice and continued to work for the Egbe Omo Oduduwa, becoming general secretary in 1948. Two years later he became the moving spirit in organizing with other Yoruba leaders the Action Group, which won the then Western Region elections in 1951. Chief Awolowo was a leader of Government Business and Minister of Local Government from 1951-1954 when, with the introduction of the new constitution; he became the first Premier of Western Nigeria. Chief Awolowo, who was highly competent, full of initiative, original in thought, practical and very often single-minded when he was convinced about something, built the Action Group into what was then described as ‘the best political party south of the Sahara’. Chief Awolowo led an able and efficient team, both in Government and in making the Western Region the admiration of the rest of the Federation of Nigeria. He resigned the premiership of Western Nigeria in 1959 to contest the Federal elections but, failing to win, became the leader of the opposition in the Federal House Of Representatives. Chief Awolowo led his party’s delegation to the London Constitutional conferences in 1953 and 1954, and to a later conference in Lagos in 1958. So excellent was the administration of the Western Nigeria during Chief Awolowo’s tenure in Office as Premier that when in 1953 the British Government announced its intention to grant self-governmentin 1956 to any Region desiring it, the Action Group Leader asked for and secured it in the same year. He was chosen by the Yoruba elite as their political leader or, formally, Leader of the 10,500,000 Yorubas, during the peak goodwill period following his release from imprisonment for about three years (he was released on August 3, 1966 with a state pardon) on the charge of plotting to overthrow the national government, and was later appointed Federal Commissioner for Finance and Vice-President of the Federal Executive Council in Yakubu Gowon’s Federal Military Government during the Civil War. He was also leader of the Western delegation to the All Nigerian Conference on the future association of Nigeria. In those capacities, he played a major role in preserving the Nigerian federation. As chairman and Presidential candidate of the Unity Party of Nigeria, which contested the elections of 1979 and 1983 on a social welfarist platform, Awolowo polled the second highest number of votes. He retired from politics on the termination of the Second Republic in 1983. Chief Awolowo was an unyielding advocate of a federal constitution for Nigeria. He is also a strong antagonist of any form of feudalism or feudal system and its spread to other parts of Nigeria; an advocate of the creation of more states in Nigeria. Awo brought the first television network to Africa in 1959 before quitting office voluntarily. In all his forty years in Nigerian politics, Awo remained the same – a man magnificently gifted, charismatic, competent and a “visioner par excellence”. He was indeed a statesman. Spokesman of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-kayode, who appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over the receipt of N840 million campaign fund last year, was questioned today for many hours by operatives of the commission. The former minister, who arrived the EFCC headquarters on Formella Street, Wuse 2, at 9:45 am, was still being quizzed at 7pm on Monday, although sources said he had been granted administrative bail on condition that he produces two sureties who must be serving directors in the federal civil service. As at the time of filing the story, Fani-kayode was yet to produce the two sureties in order to be released from the EFCC custody. Copied; Points of correction: # BukolaSarakiLetterToDeleMomodu: 1. Saraki did not help to build the APC as claimed in this letter. 2. It is just to earn cheap sympathy that he alluded to have been the reason APC didn't feature a Muslim/Muslim presidential candidate; unfortunately people are now wiser and won't fall for such claim. 3. The PDP would never have contemplated the position of SP or DSP if not for Saraki's hobnobbing to gain electoral favour. Otherwise, why didn't the PDP use that same numerical strength to feature their own for SP position and vote for same; or even vote their own for both SP and DSP. What would Saraki have told the world if PDP had won the SP and DSP positions on that day. We know better abeg. Was it the PDP that increase the number of Senate committees and also gave Committee Chair to a 1st time Senator? 4. Also , you said if Jonathan had found anything against u, he would have prosecuted you but I made bold to say that President Jonathan naivety was why he thought he could trust the EFCC to try u because your influence over that institution was overwhelming from the days of late President Yar'Adua because both you Saraki and James Ibori called the shots at EFCC. Wasn't one of your personal aide as Governor moved to head one of the departments at EFCC? So Jonathan couldn't find anything against you because your goons held sway everywhere then, but not anymore. 5. Truly you did not not force any Senator to accompany you to your trial; force isn't needed for such, inducement is the thing and it's what you probably have been doing. 6. Since you claim that your trial isn't about fighting corruption , what then is it about? Only you can explain the all the evidences tendered at the CCT trial and of recent, the Panama saga. Finally, God is the true judge and He will judge both you and your perceived persecutors, and of course ALL of us. But truth be told, you seem to be a clog in the wheel of the progress President Buhari desire to make in this Nation. This is evident in the 2016 Budget controversies which you have refused to make comments on all this while. Nigerians need you to walk away now because with people like you in power, the Nation can only become worse. A concerned young Nigerians. |
