Is your thermostat still installed?

Does your temperature gauge reach the middle at all (or does it ever move from the rest position)?

Usually, 4th gear will not engage in this transmission until the coolant temperature has reached a threshold (usually over 60 deg. C )

Most importantly, perform a scan on the vehicle and post the codes here, or on this thread:

one sure thing about failed knock sensors/ knock sensor circuits is the very obvious harsh shifting. @ Obajmedia, do you experience harsh shifting?

I don't experience hash shifting. Car drives normal at startup until I see the resolution going high to 3000rpm and keeps going up.
Reverse gear also perfect.

Hello guys, pls my Lexus rx300 is not shifting to the 4th gear. I have changed the ATF but no difference. Pls what can I do about it? Thanks
