What xbernardx said is right. You need to install a Flash player plug-in for your browser.
Just simply go to http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer

Java Runtime is just meant for running Java-applications.

Thanks for the message.

Only God knows who are true prophets or men of God. There is no need to ask any Nairaland member which church he/she attends.

@dhtml
From what I have read it looks like a good antivirus tool for flashdrives, but how am I sure that this Troy.exe program is not a trojan itself or a spyware?

This was the average speed as at today in Swift Hotspot at Silverbird Galleria.

@Spikedcylinder (weird username)
Swift Hotspot is a location for wireless internet browsing. You go to the Hotspot locations with ur Wi-Fi enabled devices like laptops, PSPs, Phones, etc and browse. Its like a wireless internet cafe.

@spikedcylinder
Whats the average download speed of MWeb in KiloBytes per second?

The average Swift Hotspot download speed I got was 300KB/s or 2400Kb/s.

@Gamine
How far?
I have alot of 80's songs on my hard drive. I love the 80s especially songs from Mary Jane Girls, Rick James, Kim Wilde, Foreigner, Tears for Fears, George Michael, Earth Wind & Fire, and so on.

There is a similar topic here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-240436.0.html

I was at the Swift Hotspot in Silverbird Galleria and I was getting download speeds of 2400Kb/s (bit transfer rate) or 300KB/s (file transfer rate).

There is a big difference between bit transfer rates and file transfer rates.
We keep mixing them up.

@init4dmoni
The Rx speed of 600Kb/s you are getting is the bit transfer rate or transmission speed measured in kilobits per second and not the file transfer speed measured in kilobytes per second.

I was at the Swift Hotspot location in Silverbird Galleria today. The free trial ended today.
I have to say that I was really impressed with what I saw.
I was downloading 3 files simulatenously each at a speed of 120KB/s.
Sorry I couldn't get a snapshot but the next time I'll be their I'll get one and post.

After the free trial, 30 minutes will be sold at N150 and 1 hour at N250.

I have to say its one of the fastest wireless network so far and I hope it spreads across more cities in Lagos.

@grafikdon
WOW! I really appreciate your work! Keep it up. This is better than some Nigerian films released nowadays.
You should do some serious work on the voice acting. That was the only down side.
Keep it up.
When will Business and Pleasure Episode 2 be released?

@matos
They are both very fast. The only difference is that the MTN 3.5G has a 3GB download limit for a month while the iZap has unlimited download limits.

For more details on Starcomms iZap go to http://www.starcomms.com/bbs_prices.php

For more details on MTN 3.5G go to http://www.mtnonline.com/data/infopack.aspx

@matos
Why do you want a dial-up connection anyway?
Well, if you want to go for a dial-up connection go for Starcomms 1X. For details on price list go to http://www.starcomms.com/d_cdma_price.php

Better yet why don't you go for broadband connection like Starcomms iZap or MTN 3.5G.

@chikend
Maybe there is no 3.5G/HSDPA coverage at Enugu. When there is no 3.5G coverage, it switches to 2G - GPRS or EDGE. That should be the reason why you are experiencing poor reception.

I have come to realize since I have been reading this topic is that bits/sec is different from bytes/sec.
1 bit/sec = 0.125 bytes/sec

So that means when Starcomms advertise their download speed as 2.4Mb/s (2400000bits/sec) it is actually 300KB/s (300000 Bytes/sec) as the max. down speed limit.

I was having difficulty on which broadband service to acquire between the Starcomms iZap and MTN 3.5G Fastlink.
But after reading this topic and the MTN 3.5G Data service topic, I have decided to go for the Starcomms iZap.
Lets see how it goes.
Thanks for all the posts.

Time magazine has their criteria for choosing which films will make the list.
Wall-E is good.

The Dark Knight premiered in US., UK. and Australian cinemas on July 2008
And it came out on DVD in December 9 2008.
While The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will be released on December 25 2008 and it made the list.

I give thanks to my heavenly father for all He has done in my life.
