Kamala Harris Taken To Walter Reed Medical Center
Days after meeting with the Democrat lawmakers from Texas, and one day after three of them tested positive for COVID-19, Kamala Harris has gone to Walter Reed Hospital.

The White House says that the visit is for a “routine doctor’s appointment,” though the timing is curious particularly because it is a “routine” checkup on a Sunday.

How often do people go to the doctor for a routine checkup on a Sunday?

On Saturday, Symone Sanders, the spokesperson for Harris, said that Harris was not in close contact with the lawmakers who tested positive, but judging by a photo on her Twitter account “close” would be in the eye of the beholder.
“Based on the timeline of these positive tests, it was determined the Vice President and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined,” she said, noting that Harris and her staff have been fully vaccinated.

They’re among nearly 60 lawmakers who fled the state Monday to break quorum in the House, part of an effort to block the passage of a GOP-led elections bill. Most members are staying in the same hotel.

One member found out about their positive test result late Friday evening, but they do not have symptoms, caucus officials said. All House lawmakers were alerted and received a rapid test following the member’s positive result.

Two additional members tested positive in a rapid test on Saturday morning. One has mild symptoms, caucus leadership said.

The three who tested positive on the rapid tests will receive a PCR coronavirus test, a more sensitive and accurate version of a COVID-19 test. The positive members will isolate for 10 days before taking a follow-up test, according to a memo obtained by the American-Statesman.

“The House Democratic Caucus is following all CDC guidance and protocols,” House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Chris Turner said. “This is a sober reminder that COVID is still with us, and though vaccinations offer tremendous protection, we still must take necessary precautions. We are in touch with public health experts in Texas to provide additional guidance. Our caucus will follow all recommendations from public health experts as we continue our work.”

But what is even more curious is that the three members are fully vaccinated.

We do not want anyone to get COVID-19, but the hypocrisy is astounding, and knowing that it happened on a trip many believe they took to score political points was something that amused many on Twitter.

These Democrats also met with Kamala Harris and we have yet to discover if she is going to quarantine.

“This is quite possibly the biggest disaster of a trip not seen since the S.S. Minnow. Perhaps all of these Texas Democrats ignoring the mask mandate on the plane to DC led to this. Look forward to seeing the coverage…,” Joe Concha said.
