Jake Tapper joined several other CNN personalities in showing how concerned they were about President Trump mocking Stormy Daniels’ looks, despite the fact that CNN ran two segments about the details of Trump’s penis.

The Judge’s reasoning that Daniels is a ‘political adversary’ because she said Cohen paid her for her silence to influence the election.

Now on the issue of the alleged defamation made by DT. Not only would Stormy Daniels have to prove that what was said was false, she'd have to prove that DT knew it was false or he made his false claim with reckless disregard for the truth. That second part makes it hard to win a libel suit.

This dismissal only affects the rather ad-hoc-afterthought case of ‘defamation’ - one that never had much chance and was obviously filed for strategic reasons. Stormy Daniels’ real case against Trump has not been dismissed – which is paying her hush money during an election period.

But there is one particular aspect a lot of people simply do not consider when discussing American politics; the Electoral process. The US electoral system is so fundamentally flawed as such that it rubbishes the cardinal norm of the term '' democracy ". The truth is the United States is not a" true democracy" in the real sense of the term. The fact that a presidential candidate can win the popular vote and still lose the elections shows how undemocratic the system is. Notwithstanding whatsoever excuses they might put up to support it, the US electoral college system is the most devissive of all electoral systems in the world. It is a sham of unprecedented proportion, a system that breeds and entrenched inequality, segregation and class-based voting.

It is laughable when people describe the US as a democracy. The electoral College system effectively destroy that tag. The fact that the US is the only developed (and perhaps the only one) Country practicing this wantom aberration further bespoke the unpopularity and illegitimacy of the system.

In the real sense, democracy per elections in America is a sham.

America is more of a Constitutional Republic rather than an outright democracy. If the popular vote is to be utilised as practised in most other countries, You will find out that only two or three states (The Coastal States) will be deciding the Presidency: California and New York. These were the states that gave Hillary Clinton the popular vote. You can do the math and see. Every electoral system has it's own flaws but I think that their founding fathers designed it in such a way that no states would be neglected. Each Candidate will have to go to the nook and cranny of each States to campaign for votes. And that is why they have the Electoral College. Democracy itself can be mishandled with its attendant demerits and that is why most folks see it as nothing but MOB RULE. You may see it from a different point of view - I understand, but that's just my assessment.
