Ikpeazu Inspects Ongoing Equipment Installation at Enyimba Garment Factory, Umukalika, Aba

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has inspected ongoing equipment installation work at the new Enyimba Garment Factory (EGF) in Aba. The factory which will provide a minimum of 560 direct jobs to Abians, per shift, will also serve as center of excellence for garment making in Abia State.

EGF will largely be managed by Aba tailors who are currently undergoing training by the equipment suppliers.

It should be noted that Governor Ikpeazu had earlier taken 30 young shoe makers to China and some garment makers to Turkey for capacity building. According to him, the philosophy is to ensure that artisan Aba shoe and garment makers quickly migrate to automation and mass production that will enable them compete globally.

Happening since morning, Ibeno L.G.A of Akwa ibom state, was today invaded by Nigerian Army, lead by an informant one officer Kehinde Olatunji AKA 'Sheggey', to destroy bunkering diesel depot in Esit Urua community in Ibeno, and Ama Friday, also in Ibeno.

Diesel worths over 200 million was affected, while the army made away with drums of diesel.

Properties were also destroyed.


Sheggey use to serve in Eket, he had misunderstanding with a driver over his usual settlement, this led to him burning the drivers Toyota Dyna and the diesel the driver was carrying, this caused serious issue between him and his superior, he was transferred to Portharcourt, where he went and mobilized Army unit in Bori, and they invaded Ibeno.

Nigerians in Mortara city Italy have confronted Italian police over the Italian police alleged decision to bury an empty casket of a Nigerian student stabbed to death by an Italian citizen.

Nigerians are claiming that the casket which the police wants to bury, doesn't have the body of deceased in it, therefore they are demanding to see the casket, but police is saying it's against the city law to open the casket.
