Politics / Re: FG May Need Supplementary Budget To Pay Minimum Wage โ€“ IMF by Oboys12: 8:16am On May 14
The last time I checked
There was no IMF on the ballot paper during February 2023 election.
We didn't vote in IMF.
So what is happening, are we in a Tinubu government or IMF led administration.

Kweke we don enter one chance

If I'm a president today whatever IMF recommends I will do the opposite because history has shown that IMF recommendation has always being counter productive on our economy right from IBB Structural adjustments program to every advise they have giving us.

Crime / Re: Soldiers Kill 50 Okuama Villagers โ€“ Fleeing Residents Say; Army Denies Claim by Oboys12: 10:36pm On Mar 18
Thesame Army that are being slaughtered like Chicken everyday in the North, how many villages have they burned,
how many villagers did they kill when they were massacred in Niger, Nasarawa, on daily basis in Yobe, Zamfara, Borno, Katsina ans other parts of the North.
Because it happened in the south, level everywhere kill every living thing but when it happens in the north it is called KIA (killed in Action)

Oh I forgot we live in two different countries and two separate laws

Politics / Re: Commissioner Or House Of Representative Member Who Is More Popular by Oboys12: 12:07pm On Jan 27
Like somebody asked 'How old are you people' and to take it further I will want to ask what is the level of their education and Political exposure. Is not an insult but an honest question that will guide me in giving you the sincere answer.
That being said, a commissioner is nothing compared to a Federal House of Representative member, there are few cases though which involves juicy and lucrative ministries like Finance, Works and Attorney General of the state where the occupant wields some level of influence and mind you it also depends on the capacity and sagacity of the occupant. Commissioners are always willing tool of the governor that's why in most states the outgoing governor can easily install any of them either as the successor or running mate to the successor because they are 'yes yes men' whose meal comes from the masters table directly because he can hire and fire them at will but you hardly see a Representative member or a senator running around a governor
But in the nutshell a mere commissioner is nothing compared to a Reps member

Just two days ago particularly On Christmas Day over 100 Nigerian Christians were killed in Plateau State while they were celebrating Christmas.
We did not see Social media activism saying justice for the massacred, the media was not agoged but if it somewhere far away in Gaza, Ukraine or United States.
Social media will be full of fake activism.

Your write up is full of misinformation and fake news.
For the records Uduaghan did not support Okowa, Okowa wrestled his way into power, Odili did not install Amawchi, though Amaechi was his preferred candidate initially but Obj prevailed on him to endorse Celestine Omehia whomlater became the governor before the supreme court ousted him, Ubong Victor Attah did not install Akpabio.

What I do not understand is the fact that recruitment into the armed forces or any federal government agency is usually advertised and each state is allotted a certain number of slots in line with federal character.
So please can someone make me understand how a commissioner of police of a state will unilaterally enlist people into the Federal armed forces.
The question is who gave him the powers to do that?
What is this country turning into

I no longer read anything that has to do with elections in Nigeria.
As politically inclined and active that I am
From 2007 that I started viting I've encouraged people to participate in elections but I've lost faith in Nigeria and most expecialy elections that will be umpired by the worst institution in Nigeria INEC alongside Police and PHCN and the Judiciary.

As enthusiastic as I'm am about politics I no longer have interest in any news that bears Inec or elections in Nigeria.

You abandoned your daughter and went for Olosho in Togo and yet you have the audacity to challenge your parents about her whereabouts as if you have the moral rights.

If they didn't keep her will you be taking of knowing her whereabouts. I'm sure they didn't approve your journey to Togo, if not why will every member of the family against you.
Politics / The Continuous Reoccurring and Irritating North Centered Discourse by Oboys12: 2:10am On Aug 11, 2023
Recently here on Nairaland I was reading a piece about the ongoing Niger political saga and the writer was so ethno chauvinistic and it got me infuriated because of the bigger picture of the reoccurring North Centered Discourse.
Yes I don't want a a super power proxy war in west Africa that will be championed by Nigeria, if at all we are going to war with Niger it should be on the ground of personal interest and not because of Democracy or western powers instigation.
However what I find disturbing is the North North talk always, must everything be centered around Northern Interest.
Please was Nigeria formed to baby sit the North, OP said subsidy removal was done against the north, the borders was done against the north, are you kidding me.
In the first place the owners of the fuel that is being subsidized (South) are feeling the effect but their suffering does not matter what matters is that of the North who are being spoon fed. When the issue of 8k palliatives was on the front burner the south spoke from the standpoint of the ills of the scheme and it's little or no effect in ameliorating the suffering of the whole nation, but some parochial ethnocentric self centered unproductive backward segment of people and their elites were only seeing it from the angle of the Noth, in other words even if something it is bad on the country so long it doesn't affect the North is okay.
A backward unproductive population drawing the entire nation backwards

Perhaps you don't know who is writing that's why you will make such statement,
Well let me ask you who made Lucky Igbinedion Governor in the first place, who subsequently denied him the opportunity of bringing is his successor. Anehihs influence was beyond the Edo State, he was a national figure. The name Mr fix it was not guy name but a name will earned under Obasanjo's era.

EdCure:
These children with emotional opinions.

"If" is different from reality.
Anenih had his time, and he's now late.

There was a time Lucky Igbinedion was the most powerful man in Benin. But can the same be said now?
Politics / THE POLITICAL GLADIATORS OF SOUTH / SOUTH by Oboys12: 9:26am On Jul 26, 2023
Somebody sat down and complied APC members or better still those in Tinubu's camp and termed them as the top six most influential South South Politicians ๐Ÿ˜‚
He mentioned, Nyesom Wike, Adams Oshomole, David Lyon, Magnus Abe, Godswill Akpabio and the Governor of Cross River ๐Ÿ˜‚

Who is Lyon who is Magnus abe?

In the first place how do you categorize an influential person ? And what is the yardstick or indices? What is the scope, well in this case he said South South.
Well let me state categorically that apart from Wike, Akpabio and Oshomole others do not make the top six list
If only late Anthony Anehih was alive he would have been undisputedly the number but he is no more, again if Doctor Peter Odili was still active in politics he would have been on the list too, but he voluntarily resigned from active politics.

A list without Goodluck Jonathan, Rotimi Ameachi, James Ibori and Ifeanyi Okowa is not complete, the only 3 people I will accept from your list are Wike, Oshomole and Akpabio, but in all none can be compared to late Anthony Anehih and Peter Odili when he was active in politics

Lol you people will not seize to amaze me.
By what standard is binin the most educated or intelligent.
What a fallacious statement.
First and foremost do they go to school?
Esan are better educationally inclined than an average Benin man, Benin people that cross legs and sit at home doing nothing hoping to get inheritance after the demise of the father then the ones that were able to pass through Sahara desert (lybia) goes there for prostitution and all sorts in Italy.
Please which of the Benin abeg, I graduated from uniben and still live in Benin for more than 14 years now and I can categorically tell you about Benin people
When we were in Uniben in a school domiciled in Benin the number of esans students outnumbered that of Benin, delta ofcos has the highest number of students in Benin.
Benin people that specializes in miracle centres for their secondary schools where we and neco are written on the board. Malpractice of the highest order. Infact people travel from other places to come enrol for SSCE in benin because your A's are sure.
Benin dey go school do the know anything.
