I just read a post about this continuous narrative of Ikwere of Rivers and Ukwuani,Ika amd Aniocha of Delta State otherwise known as Anioma, I'm sick and tired of this continuous narrative of trying to usurp and erase peoples identity just to satisfy what i don't know.
I love the Igbos but there is one fundamental problem about the Igbos and it is the desire to always force their narrative on others and it is very bad
Ikwere said they are ikwere and not igbo so be it
Ukwuani, Ika of Delta State says there are not Igbo so be it, the only part of Anioma that are pro Igbo is the Aniochas or you can call them Enuani that is the Asaba axis
Our ancestors lived and died as Ukwuani and never Igbo and as a matter of Fact we have Igbo quarter, Yoruba quarter, Hausa quarter and even Ghana quarter in Obiaruku my hometown till date, these are areas that are predominantly dominated by these people. The Igbos have always being strangers in our land and are categorised among strangers till tomorrow.
So why force your identity on us. Why should we be called Igbos all of a sudden why not Igbos being called Ukwuani or is it because Igbo are more populated therefore we should be incorporated into them, Bullshit
As a matter of fact some part of Igbos migrated from Ukwuani to the present Anambra and Imo state

This is my problem with the Igbos and why we the Ukwuanis of Delta State won't be joining the Igbos in the so called Anioma state.

One thing is certain that recently the presidency in trying to pacify the south East region has made some bold steps in assuaging the ills inherent in the South East by giving them an additional state to make it 6 states from the south East region, and it is no doubt that number of states have been mentioned amongst them is Anioma which is the present day Delta North senatorial district having about 9 Local government areas. It has three ethnic groups which is Ukwani, Ika and Aniocha.
As God will have it the present occupant of the senator seat at the upper Chambers is Senator Ned Nwoko who is from Aniocha, Ukwuani and Ika having gotten their fare share in the past in the person of Senator Patrick Osakwe and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who later became the Governor of the state.
There is an ongoing debate to make Anioma state the 6th state of the South East and the Ukwuani and Ika people have vehement opposed it, there is no doubt that Aniocha axis which is the Asaba area have so much in common with the Igbos across the Niger but the other two ethnic groups are simply not igbo judging by their history, cultural heritage and beliefs hence their stand.
They have nothing against the Igbos, they have being living together as Neighbors sharing similarities both in language and even culture however they are not Igbos.
Ned Nwoko and his supporters from the Antiocha axis cannot Lord over the other two which is like 2/3 majority.
Anioma greetings is not Kwenu but Mbene-ni

Like somebody asked 'How old are you people' and to take it further I will want to ask what is the level of their education and Political exposure. Is not an insult but an honest question that will guide me in giving you the sincere answer.
That being said, a commissioner is nothing compared to a Federal House of Representative member, there are few cases though which involves juicy and lucrative ministries like Finance, Works and Attorney General of the state where the occupant wields some level of influence and mind you it also depends on the capacity and sagacity of the occupant. Commissioners are always willing tool of the governor that's why in most states the outgoing governor can easily install any of them either as the successor or running mate to the successor because they are 'yes yes men' whose meal comes from the masters table directly because he can hire and fire them at will but you hardly see a Representative member or a senator running around a governor
But in the nutshell a mere commissioner is nothing compared to a Reps member

What I do not understand is the fact that recruitment into the armed forces or any federal government agency is usually advertised and each state is allotted a certain number of slots in line with federal character.
So please can someone make me understand how a commissioner of police of a state will unilaterally enlist people into the Federal armed forces.

As politically inclined and active that I am
From 2007 that I started viting I've encouraged people to participate in elections but I've lost faith in Nigeria and most expecialy elections that will be umpired by the worst institution in Nigeria INEC alongside Police and PHCN and the Judiciary.

As enthusiastic as I'm am about politics I no longer have interest in any news that bears Inec or elections in Nigeria.
