[quote author=bellong post=55654022]@occie3,

Why not ask for the CDR you have written to be proofread than asking for a template?

@ Bellong. I will do that soon. It's better to be corrected here than waste money.

Thanks

Studying at The University of Queensland, Brisbane.

Visa app 16 Jan, medicals WFCLINIC 17th Jan, biometrics 18th January. Total time 3 weeks.

No bank statements, Ielts was compulsory for my program, no further contact made from the embassy.

MY PROGRESS REPORT

Writing from brisbane, QLD.

Arrived 21st of Feb. From the airport every one was so whity. Cultural shock lol. Not like USa or UK. I Had to go that same day to UQ for a compulsory orientation. It was hectic.

Brisbane is hot just like naija at least for now.

The city is really developed at least I can rate and compare with cities in usa and uk. Perhaps even more developed. I Was impressed and haven't even gone anywhere yet.

For accomodation; presently still using airbnb. Looking for something more permanent. Not a problem because I'm still trying to understand my school schedule and clinical placements.

Navigating in town has been with Google map, journey planner. And I ask a lot of questions esp to confirm my route. Everyone seems polite and apologise if they really can't help. My school is so massive every one esp newbies use the school's navigation app. Lol

Food ain't a problem good stores available. Take your blended soup things believe me it will help. My second luggage was just food. I also took crayfish and stock fish etc Well sealed in ziploc bags and sealing bags. Gambled on that but they let it pass since I declared in the form.

Met a nice couple that have really been a good guide. NOTE: Avail your self to a religious centre eg church

Doing my background work to prepare me for a job etc TFN, bank account etc.

So far so good, no complaints missing home though.

Team brisbane we could team up. Cheers!

Hello house,
please I need help with universities I can directly apply to in Australia myself and not via agent, most importantly one that doesn't require a to write an English test has part o it's admission process.
Secondly, do they accept HND for masters or its advisable I go for pgd?
I intend to study occupational health/hygiene commonly know has workplace health and safety in australia...Goggle drained my battery so I had to post my Q. Here as I need quick leads and directions to apply for admission to read up on thread later.

Had cgpa of 2.85/4.00
Try ECU, UNE. Others may still redirect you back to agents after suffering to submit an application by yourself.

Guy, thank GOD say I see you. Na small remain make I enter pfl net, thanks for you guys.
Now my question.
Please I want to further my education in Aussie, i had an HND in civil engineering but want a top-up course that can make me do my masters afterward.
Pfl just dey tell me say make I come pay first sey everything easy. Please how far with it?
The agent is not the problem. The issue is don't fall for their ignorance. Research what you want and determine if it fits your goals then ask them to apply for that program. Don't let them do the thinking for you because you are the one at stake. Almost every school, esp the AL1 will require an agent so no way to escape most times.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by occie3: 6:39pm On Jan 10, 2017
haliru to be frank, do what's on your mind. If money is not a problem start and change later. On applying for medical administrator, with vetassess its equivalent to a CMD or Hospital director. It's not the same as practice manager.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by occie3: 10:10pm On Jan 09, 2017
PFL!!!!!! all of them are the same. I was roped into using them by the school after submitting an application to the schools, I was referred back to them after wasting my time.
I sent you a pm. If you can apply to ECU have all your credentials certified by the regular courts and write your statement of purpose, cv and financial sponsor bank details ready you can get an offer soonest. It's the same money whether mph, nursing etc. You may choose to call them tonight and ask if you can still apply for this February. Or ask pfl to make an application into any bachelor of nursing programs graduate entry for you in a school that responds fast. It's their job since you have paid.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by occie3: 9:56pm On Jan 09, 2017
That would be after losing money about 25k aud per year as it only starts in February. Check this school you can apply for July UNE or see if you can apply for this session. But they say the town is small because of jobs.
What's your degree? Did you apply through Goajo?
Try also ECU you won't need an agent just like UNE. These agents misguide people because of the commission they get they will tell you you can change but it's not so easy. You must pay your first semester fees before you can change course or campus as your case. I called the school then, that's why I know. But I have moved on. I just abandoned the offer.
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by occie3: 9:26pm On Jan 09, 2017
Unto masters in nursing. In most cases the program is useless as upon completion you will be unable to register with their board. Its best you do bsc graduate entry.

@Frank success does this info also include master of nursing graduate entry for non nurses as it is also accredited by the council? Fewer schools do this program.

There is a difference between master of nursing and master of nursing; graduate entry. This is also done in other countries.

Please let us know what's happening there as the schools and the regulation board cannot be saying one thing and turing around doing another.

http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Accreditation/Approved-programs-of-study.aspx

TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by occie3: 7:48pm On Jan 09, 2017
@haliru and frank success

This was the same situation I was in. From my experience majority of the schools require you to apply through an agent limiting your choice of programs. Sometimes the agents will even force you to accept a program you don't want because not every agent is affiliated with all schools and certain programs are done only in some schools. Very annoying. Nothing gets done best except by you.

Haliru I was also offered mph at WSU but before making commitments my friends and senior colleagues back then in school that are in australia warned me that anything but public health. Infact a friend of mine from Ghana, writing the med exams and doing mph said mph isn't it anymore. They have removed most of the specialties eg Occu. Health and environmental health from the list. Community workers do most work public health workers do people with just diploma. Most public health jobs are done by nurses etc. Even if you continue mph through doctorate it doesn't guaranty PR.

You can go ahead if you are planning to Ace any exams and do something else as I was adviced by at least 4 persons or plan returning to naija.

Options I was given were health informatics, masters of medical sciences, above all every one suggested nursing "like if I had known kind of expression"

After hearing that I just abandoned that and moved on after all no point paying that kind of money with no financial support from the school and running pillar to post post graduation. I had to change agent again as that's the new norm. Not that I cant do it by myself it is mandatory for the schools I was interested in.

A point to note is that health professionals and even doctors not only from Nigeria do nursing via graduate entry bachelors or masters. It's the same fees as any other regular program. And it's about 1.5 to 2 years. Benefits are; you learn about the medical system, high job availability while you sort out your exams to practice, connections in the medical world and of course no worries for pr later. Because it's speculated that GP will be removed from the list this year.

Finally only God knows tomorrow. If you feel convinced then please go ahead as our destiny's are in the hands of God.

[b]Note that a managerial position will require a minimum of 15 staff directly under

I'm sorry. It has been a long time since I was on that path. And that's why applying for a managerial occupation can be difficult for many. But who knows it may not be totally correct. Give it a try and let us know.

[quote author=occie3 post=52500711]I feel you can try medical administrator not sure of the title it will fit better since you worked mainly in the clinic/hospital setting. Give vetassess a try. The reason I said this is because I tried vetassess and although I used the anzosearch job description the main catch is to define what a primary health organisation is. If you are able to prove that, then go ahead. And they also wanted an organisation flow chart and evidence of business partnership with clients eg other gp centers, hospitals, ngo's etc. Note that a managerial position will require a minimum of 15 staff directly under you.
I will try to recover the assessment from my bad laptop and upload it someday.
For now the goal is to enter the country and write the exams.

When you are 'ready' to pay your school fees you will pay her to make the Form A transaction faster 260k is nothing compared to the amount you will save with black market. Friends and family members abroad sell to Abokis because of the gains which i don't blame them because i will do the same am not saying you can't be favoured because with God all things are possible
So how does this person work, what bank and time frame to do the form A?

thanks for the response ..
now I have the bank draft at hand already..
so I have to travel down to the office ...
Right now I'll advice you register again because the weekend is at hand.

Usually as soon as registration done you are given 5 business days to pay out of which evidence of payment should have reached the office.

Since you have your draft already, go to the nearest post office and send via Nipost EMS not regular mail (ems delivers mails by flights all across nigeria inter states and you can track your parcel) addressing it to the given address in the mail you received from ielts BC.

I hope this helps.

Do you have experience in Primary Health care?

Have you managed a clinic before?
Hello Bellong, do you know any one that has had any positve assessment from vetassess for primary health organisation manager? Or has any one gotten a positve assessment in this group?

For all these mangerial positions, please what's the minimum years of experience required? Because vetassess is pretty tricky.

From the advisory report I received, they were silent about the work experience lenght even when I asked about that.

For the other person asking about other routes for Doctors, try schooling or travel and write the exams there because you will be able to observe their practice.

Also, vetassess differentiates clinic from hospital management from my research on expatforum.

Thanks

awelekiti:
Hello, every applicant reserves the right to choose whichever route considered most convenient, for the reason best known to them. But in my opinion, you may go for paper route cos it seems faster these days, based on NL members' experiences in recent times. The most recent proof was the case of olumix36, who applied via paper route in the first week of July and got a text for collection 2 days ago whereas, there are many active NL members in this forum who had applied much earlier via online route but still waiting and counting days. If you apply via paper route, you will have your biometrics taken same day. But if your programme is taking place in 3 months' time, or you're likely to travel anytime soon, I'd suggest you go for online route because you'd definitely need your passport for the latter. You can have relevant forms downloaded on the CIC website. The visa document checklist is also available there to guide you on the documents you might need, depending on the category of visa you're applying for. You may also read this thread from the beginning for further guide.
Thanks. Still on the matter using the paper method, let's say after payment of fees do I have to book a day with vsf or It's a walk in process? I couldn't get that info on the web page. Please bear with me. I'm not conversant with this. Thanks
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by occie3: 7:08pm On Aug 27, 2016
@ Awelekiti and other kind hearted folks,

Thanks for all the info you guys put up esp for newbees' like me. I need guidance on the online application and paper route for a canadian visit visa. I'm more inclined toward using the paper route from peoples' past experiences but have no idea on how to start and what's required. Will I still be required to create an online application or I just download those forms and fill and take to the vfs office.

Will I be required to book for an appointment at the visa office or it's a walk in situation depending when I'm going for my bio-metrics?

Hmmm, I started applying on line but decided to go through the forum and I need help now

Thanks.
