As an e-hailing driver in Abuja, here is my 2 cents contribution to this topic.

It is possible to make such if u use CNG or EV,
For CNG not regularly due to scarcity of CNG, u may queue for hours daily during economic hours.
On weekends you can even make 100k if you are active from morning till night.

Here is where it gets interesting - Car maintenance won't let you enjoy that money.
You check you opay to see summary of almost 2m passing through your account in 30 days but don't know where the money is.

But if u do weekly contribution like I do with trusted drivers, u can see something substantial month end.

Yes I make up to 800k monthly but the stress is too much, sitting down daily will give u health issues that won't let u enjoy yourself especially if u have hit 35 years and above.

The people who enjoy the job are those who do it as side hustle.

I have a 3d printing business on the side and spend 8 hours daily on e-hailing, so when 4pm meets me, even if it's 30k I see I close, go and continue my 3d printing business.
I work 5 days (30k daily target which I usually meet) on weekends I double my target.

Recommendation, get EV or CNG cars (priority VIP car in a consistent station so you can buy anytime and hit the road)

EV- Do your research so you don't get a car that would trouble you. And don't ever agree to collect EV higher purchase, 2m down payment plus 35k daily remittance for 18 months would ground your life plus u don't get to take the car home until u finish payment.

But if u can purchase an EV outrighly, u will enjoy yourself

I have been using Honda DC for Uber/Bolt for 1 year.
I converted to CNG before I began using it.
Doubled my CNG cylinder to reduce my refill so I can go wherever ride leads me without a fear of running out of Gas.

My response was to a question someone asked about daily profits.
I have a daily target of 30k, half of my gas gets me that while the other half is for the next day.

Too many people have converted and the number of drivers have tripled but with CNG, u can get by doing Uber and on weekends u get to make up for weekdays u didn't meet target

Some people don't mind starting their cars in the morning with CNG but I prefer petrol to start to give my pistons little lubrication before I switch to CNG.
The only downside to CNG is the cylinder weight in your trunk.
Since I began Uber fully, I had to add a second cylinder to make it total of 2 cylinders, that's because it helps reduce the amount of time I frequent the station to buy(CNG queues are kind of tough in Abuja where I live because we have few stations and many car owners have converted especially since iran and USA war increased the price of petrol.

I have used same car for more than a year doing Uber.
I changed from Toyota Corolla 2010 to DC because of maintenance cost.
I couldn't keep up.
DC has been serving me, I changed both engine and gear box for less than 700k, the parts are far cheaper than Toyota, but if u want fuel economy I suggest u go for Corolla or Honda irobot, DC is not economic with fuel.
Though I converted mine to CNG.
