Does anyone here use modified sinewave inverters to charge laptops? What's the experience like and any recommendation?

I've always used pure sinewave and thinking of trying msw for a budget setup.

Good day all. I recently got two 220AH Luminous NRGT batteries (Tall Tubular) and my inverter indicates the batteries are full. When measured with voltmeter without load they jointly read 25.6V.

But when I put load on the inverter, and put on like 5 led bulbs, the volmeter immediately drops to 24.4V. I'm surprised in the sudden drop in voltage.

Is this normal or there is something wrong with the batteries.

Inverter is Luminous Hybrid also bought newly

I noticed same thing about my Luminous battery. Though mine is a single 200ah battery, when there's load on it, voltage drops to 12.2v and it remains so for several hours. When there's no load, it jumps back to 12.4v.
Are you still experiencing this? Though mine never go below 12.2v even during long hours of usage.

Wilmaria14, please never allow any matter to escalate to the extent of coming to nairaland. You are at fault here, why did you ignore that man's messages? That's not the right thing to do, it was because you didn't reply his messages that he had to call you out here. How would you feel too if someone is ignoring your messages and refuses to do something about your complaint?
Don't sell any battery that is not directly from company, no matter how cheap or profitable, it always ends in premium tears. This is why I prefer not order batteries from Alaba...
Remember it's not easy to trust an unknown person with money. You must deliver exceptionally and make your customers happy! That's how you can grow. If this battery was from company, there would be warranty, and returning it will not be an issue. Please sell what will give you and your customers peace of mind.

Most transformer based inverters have high idle consumption. Only YIY /multi power combi have i seen with slightly reduced consumption.

Does your inverter have single or double fan

My 4kva 48v mustpower star inverter has 135w as idle consumption. Its a beast though, with surge of 12kva

Yeah, I came across another Product known as SMR, the idle consumption current is 0.5A according to them, which makes idle power consumption 12w for a 24v system. And I was reliably informed that the product is okay. It also comes with a year's warranty.

Get an hybrid inverter instead.....the idle load consumption is relatively low. Felicity hybrid 5kva is about 45w, sometimes can be lower.

Does anyone here use PowerStar W7 inverter? While checking through online reviews I saw that the idle power is over 200w, is this still true for newer productions? Idle power more than 25w is unacceptable for me, because the inverter alone can run battery down quickly (for someone like me that have very few batteries).
This is why I like Souer, believe me they have one of the best power efficient inverters out there (though mostly MSW). I can leave Souer inverter on for hours without worries of power drainage.
